This attractive stone-built villa enjoys a very private setting, perched on the hillside above Nidri with superb views across the sea to the mainland and the islands of Madouri, Sparti and Cheloni. This secluded spot is equally appealing to either a couple or a family. There are two traditional tavernas in the small hamlet of Haradiatika just two minutes' drive down the hill, plus all the holiday amenities you could wish for at Nidri, a few minutes further by car.
For beaches we recommend the beautiful cove of Dessimi: this is where the Greeks go to eat at the weekend and there is always wonderful fresh fish available. There are views over to Meganissi and the sea is crystal clear, making this the perfect place to hire a small boat and explore the numerous coves along the coast. Back at Villa Anlys there’s a delightful dining pergola, carefully positioned to make the most of those sweeping views. Combining great privacy with easy access to restaurants, water sports and beaches, this is a villa with very wide appeal.

After we’d overcome the drive up the hill to Villa Anlys, we were able to begin to relax, enjoy the views, the pool and the peace and quiet of the situation. A wonderful island to explore. Make sure you engage fully with Maria – she’s full of knowledge on all aspects.
This was our third holiday in Lefkada and the location of the villas was ideal – close enough to tavernas, bakeries and roads, but peaceful and secluded with a great view. We enjoyed lovely family days by the pool at the villa. We were a three generational family of five, and chose a villa all on one level specifically to help one family member with mobility challenges, and it worked out well. This was our first Simpson holiday – we usually do all our own flights, villas, and hire cars and we received excellent service before and during our holiday. Maria, our concierge, was so helpful with our questions and needs and always responsive whenever we needed help. All in all, this holiday and location was exactly what we needed – sunshine, rest, relaxation, privacy and time together. Thank you.

Excellent resort concierge. Maria responded immediately to our questions. She went above and beyond to ensure that our baby granddaughter had everything she needed. The Mousses staff at the airport were marvellous with the baby. It has made us consider booking a resort with child care for our next holiday.
The view over to Nidri is just wonderful. The villa is modest but comfortable with a good size pool and plenty of space for sunbathing. The usual excellent service from the Simpson team.

Just a week but perfect for us to unwind. Our highlight: stop for honey on the road to Mikros Gialos near Poros. So many flavours from 75 beehives. You can taste each one, take a teaspoon!
We have really enjoyed our 2 weeks at Villa Anlys with the spectacular view. We hired a boat at Dessimi, great way to see a lot of the coast and swim in secluded coves around Meganissi. Topped off with dolphins swimming alongside our boat.
We haven't done much but enjoyed the peace and quiet here, which is all we really needed.
Amazing location for the confident driver! Beautiful views and we have had a week of not doing a lot which is what we really needed! All in all it's been a lovely week.
This is our second holiday with Simpson Travel and it certainly won’t be our last. Villa Anlys is a hidden gem high in the hills surrounding Nydri. Breathtaking views, stunning pool and comfortable villa made this a perfect location for our family holiday. The abundance of water sports, stunning beaches, boating activities, and delicious cuisine in Lefkada combined to ensure we made some fabulous memories with our young family.
Our stay in Villa Anlys was far too short, there was so much to do. Everyone was friendly with some excellent tavernas and beaches within reach. It was very comfortable by the pool which was a good size. The drive from the main road was exciting – up a steep road and hairpin bends. The last few yards were very steep with sharp bends which we had been warned about. The peace and views at the top made this well worthwhile. Jo was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The villa was very clean. We would love to go there again.
Villa Anlys is a lovely villa with everything we needed, and it has amazing views. The drive up to the villa was an experience, but we soon got used to the bends which made for very interesting daily drives.
One word…amazing! Lovely villa with everything you could want, views, sun, sea and boats to hire at the end of the garden. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The food is divine, too many Greek salads eaten. Definitely recommend Pinewood and Engan Greek Deli further out of Nidri. Can’t recommend a boat trip enough, everyone had so much fun exploring and swimming. Para-sailing was a hit too and gave another great view of the islands. None of us want to leave!
Jo and George – thank you for an excellent two-week break. So relaxing and we love the cottage. Had a few BBQS here – Kreopolio butcher is excellent. Would recommend Seaside Restaurant at Geni as the best, great service and certainly the best we visited – great for our wedding anniversary meal. Best tavernas were Vagelaras and Maistros. Amousa Beach is nice – wear beach shoes for the stones. We went up to Gialos beach after 4pm and stopped at a taverna for dinner on the way home – very friendly service and took us into the kitchen to see the homemade dishes before ordering.
Perfect week staying at Villa Anlys. We will so miss the stunning views and peaceful location. We enjoyed the coffee at Afteli Beach, a relaxing atmosphere and great coffee. We would recommend the following restaurants: Panos in Haradiatika village – very traditional, Gialos, Geni – lovely looking out into the lagoon – delicious cheese pies and moussaka, Pinewood in Nidri – a table right on the beach, Roots in Nidri and Tanis Seaside Restaurant – excellent food and service. We will definitely be returning. P.S. The welcome pack was very much appreciated.
Wow! What a fantastic place to stay. Peaceful, beautiful and away from the hum drum of Nidri! We’ve loved it. Our top tips are to walk to the local taverna for a fantastic, more authentic experience – delicious lamb and pork on the spit. On Saturday night it is filled with the locals. I bought a huge string of garlic from the ‘garlic’ man for €5. Next, the drive to Cape Lefkada lighthouse is fantastic, the coastline at the viewpoint is just sensational. Porto Katsiki coastline is azure blue and really worth seeing. We liked Ellinka beach for great swimming – not too many people and very quiet in the morning, beautiful clear water. Lastly, get up early and see the sunrise from here, it is beautiful.
We have had a wonderful holiday here, thanks to Susanne and Paul for all their help. Many happy days spent at the villa around the pool, but also visited beaches... Highlights included my son and I paragliding from Rachi to the beach at Kathisma. We also hired a boat and sailed around Meganissi, snorkelling and lunch which was well worth the money.
Hope subsequent guests enjoy this villa as much as we did. With many thanks to the whole team and in particular to Paul who went beyond the call of duty to meet our needs.
Another lovely Simpson Travel holiday with a fantastic service. We stayed at Villa Anlys again this year. Just can't fault the location and the layout. Peaceful and private but close enough to town too.
We have been on many villa holidays with Simpson Travel over the past seven years and they have all excelled. Villa Anlys has to be even better than the others. It's position high up over Nidri town in the hills provided the perfect setting to unwind with only the chorus of crickets and goats breaking the silence. Meandering around the local roads on the first night found us in the middle of a nearby hamlet where the local taverna specialised in delicious meat on a spit and the entire scene was reminiscent of 'Mamma Mia'. The whole place was alive with friendliness and the endeavour to please.

Villa Anlys is in a fantastic location above Nidri. It is in a quiet secluded spot with lovely views. Afternoons by the pool are very relaxing. Lefkada offers great beaches and sea to swim in and some very good restaurants. Our second visit.
