Thanks to the natural beauty and tranquillity of its immediate surroundings, this single-storey haven promises contemporary luxury in a blissfully unspoilt setting, with a spectacular shingle beach just a leisurely stroll away.
Two-bedroom Apollo is one of three meticulously designed villas overlooking Varko Bay, presenting an ideal base for smaller families or a couple seeking a relaxing escape. If you’re travelling with friends, nearby Afroditi and Hermes make the perfect companion villas - not too close for comfort ensuring everyone has the privacy and space they need. The stylish open-plan living area and elegantly appointed bedrooms are bright and airy creating an effortless flow between inside and out and the pretty gardens are immaculately kept with plenty of room to lie back and enjoy this unique spot. If you simply want to drop and flop, it's the perfect place to embrace a slower pace of life and immerse yourself in total relaxation, but more active souls will find plenty to do in the region too. Varko's inviting beach and crystal-clear waters are a haven for snorkellers, and a private jetty is available for those eager to explore the azure waters in a rented boat. Set off for lunch on Meganissi or Lefkada, visit the enchanting islands of Kalamos and Kastos, or take a picnic and explore the pretty inlets of the mainland coast.
Just a short 10-minute drive from Apollo, the quaint village of Pogonia awaits with its two traditional tavernas and a kafeneio — a perfect place to savour the regional produce and experience the warmth of the locals. Extend your journey a little further, and in just ten minutes, you'll find yourself in Palairos, a coastal town in Greece's Etoloakarnania region, where you’ll find an abundance of bars, restaurants, cafés, bakeries, and well-stocked supermarkets. Nearby, history enthusiasts can explore the Mycenaean ruins of Ancient Palairos, adding a rich and enlightening layer to the Greek cultural tapestry.

An amazing villa within an idyllic setting. Peaceful, tranquil & fabulous views. Nicos, the owner, and Yiannis, the Simpson rep, ensured we were welcomed and had all we needed for our week's stay. Palairos, the local town has some great restaurants and we found them far better than those in Lefkada. There is an excellent beach at Vathiavali where the waters are beautifully clear and no need to pay for sunbeds!
A perfect relaxing week in Lefkada. Wonderful location with friendly and welcoming restaurants a short drive away. Yiannis was generous with his time and made superb recommendations for restaurants and places to visit, and Nikos was beyond hospitable to make sure we had everything we needed at Villa Apollo. We were sorry to leave this beautiful and less travelled region of Greece.
We were so impressed with Villa Apollo from the moment we were shown around by the owner. A spacious and airy villa with beautiful views overlooking Varko Bay and Lefkada beyond. The pool was wonderful and cleaned every morning. Although set in a quiet area, local restaurants were only a 10/15 minute drive away. Our Concierge, Yiannis was really helpful and kept in regular contact with us during our stay. As first time travellers with Simpson Travel they exceeding all our expectations to ensure we had a memorable and relaxing holiday.
The villa is amazing with plenty of room and excellent facilities. Yiannis, our Simpson Rep, kindly pre-booked our restaurant for our first night. Freshly cooked dishes and a warm welcome. We found Palairos within easy reach with a good choice of local restaurants on the harbour front. This is the first time we have travelled with Simpsons and are extremely impressed by the way we were kept informed from the initial booking right through to the actual holiday. It was good to know that if we needed any advice or help, Yiannis was only a phone call away.
