"Marking our 25th year of travelling with Simply/Simpson with a wonderful week in Crete, staying at the Apothikes Beach Suites. For sure, get out and explore the area, but really you have everything you need on your doorstep. Walk out onto the sandy beach and into the tranquil waters of the Libyan sea. If you're not barbecuing as the sun sets, the nearby tavernas are all recommended. Travel light, bring a good book, then kick back, unwind and enjoy the simple pleasures in life."
"Sometimes after a Simpson Travel Holiday you just want to keep it a secret because part of the attraction is that the best of what they offer is slightly off the beaten tourist track and as a customer, you hope it will stay that way. We had a wonderful week at the Kyparissi Suites in Kioni in the north east of Ithaca. Time stands still beneath cobalt blue skies in this quiet little port / village. Traditional tavernas serve delicious food and there is plenty to explore further afield in the island, if you can bear to leave Kioni. But to walk down the steps beyond the village of Kioni and dip into the glittering turquoise sea below is unbeatable."
"Masseria Le Torri is exceptional. The setting, the Masseria, and amenities are without doubt top drawer. However all this would be incidental if it wasn't for the people who work there. From Silvana the owner, to those who look after the rooms, those who wait, the reception staff, and the chefs who prepare such fabulous food, all add to an outstanding experience."
"We loved our stay at this beautiful, clean, well-supplied house. We particularly enjoyed the garden and pool, and exploring the landscape and wildlife nearby. The support from Sarah, Simpson's person on the ground in France, was wonderful, and the activity suggestions and guidance from Simpson and the house owners was really helpful. "The overall service from Simpsons from start to finish was none other than excellent. I have never been so impressed. The Sales team when organising the holiday was exceptional. On arrival we were met by Barbara who handed us the keys to our hire car. We were contacted during our stay by Sarah who was so helpful. The staff at Son Pons were unbelievable. Maika and Amaka made our stay beyond incredible. The service of ALL staff there was impeccable. The location was beyond our wildest dreams......quiet, peaceful and spectacular views. We've been blown away by the special views here in Calvi and have had a wonderful time exploring Corsica's natural beauty, visiting the dramatic Bonifatu forest and taking in the reserve from the sea. "During the holiday we had an illness. The local Concierges (David & Steph) and Simpson's Operations Manager (Rania) were above excellent - they supported us through the holiday - stayed with us, made sure we had everything we needed, helped with language and made sure they checked everyday to see that we were OK . I have worked in customer Service all my life and these two were the best I have experience of. They proved day after day that Simpsons will always be our go-to travel company. Our thanks go to David, Steph and Rania - not sure what we would have done without their support."

" It was the first time we had travelled with Simpson and we believe that we'll be hard-pressed to find another company to match up to them. Although we organised our own flights our Simpson Concierge contact, Rania, was at the end of an email/text to help us through all transfer arrangements, even rearranging our pick up and transfer times (by car and water taxi) when our airline carrier arrived 2 hours late at our destination airport. Plus, after a full days work organising change overs, Rania waited at the quayside for our water taxi to arrive and welcome us and even organised for a local restaurant (Stavros)to cook some food for us to takeaway as they had closed for the night. Our villa (Akoni) was the first villa we had stayed in where the actual place looked better than the website photos. Anyone choosing this place will be in for a treat - it was faultless. Our overriding experience of the location and Simpson in particular is that you really are travelling with a company that cares and carefully chooses it's destinations and is serious in making sure your experience of that place is perfect. This review might sound a bit 'gushing' but our Simpson experience really was more than we could have hoped for."

"What a great villa in a fabulous place. The views of the Gulf of Chania to one side and to the White Mountains to another side were fantastic; but the villa also has orange and lemon trees in the garden ready to pick - even in early April - which were lovely in the G&T's that we drank on the terrace overlooking the pool. You could easily see into Almyrida - down to the beach and the Tavernas, but it was so quiet that you could be forgiven for thinking you were the only person around. A pretty much perfect holiday venue."

" We have been at villa Nafsika for a week, first time in Corfu for years but have travelled with Simpson before. We have always rated Simpson’s service but this time it was the best yet from booking through to the airport home. The villa just above Agios Stephanos is lovely with a superb pool and the view is magnificent. Jackie the concierge was so helpful, particularly booking tavernas and she arranged for a Prosecco surprise for a birthday dinner. She also printed off the wretched COVID certs etc for our trip home and dropped them off for us. I couldn’t find fault with anything and would highly recommend. "
"This is just the loveliest villa we have ever stayed in. We loved trulli living and the circular pool. We also loved exploring and would recommend Alberobello, Locorotondo, Ostuni, Martina Franca and dinner out in Monopoli and Polignano A Mare. Apparently Puglia means ‘land with little rain’ but we managed to get two days of rain. We escaped it one day and travelled to Matera, which is very lovely and interesting. We shall be back – thank you."

"Absolutely amazing – we had a wonderful time. The villa was excellent and made perfect by its own platform to the sea with turtles at the bottom to swim with! "I cannot recommend Simpson Travel enough. If you are concerned for your holiday, then don’t be, you will have a wonderful time. Everyone we met was just as happy to see us as we were to see them! This was also the case for all the shopkeepers and restaurant staff, who were so happy to be in business again, so we ate out as much as possible to help them out. In these uncertain times, Simpson provided stability and kept us informed of any changes and, as a result, we thoroughly enjoyed our time away, giving us a much-needed break from the British media storm. As there were no Covid-19 cases on Paxos and very little on Corfu at all, we felt secluded and safer than we do at home! Thank you Simpson Travel – see you next year!!"

Go! Don’t be put off; it’s safe and it’s wonderful
We have just returned from a fortnight in Thodoris House on Paxos and it has been an absolute delight. My husband booked this trip in December 2020 and Simpson Travel have been so good at keeping communication going as travel restrictions have ebbed, flowed and performed the various convolutions they’ve undertaken over the past six months. We were offered a full refund or the opportunity to re-schedule but chose to hang on, convinced that the Ionian islands would be designated green when the traffic light system was announced. So they weren’t. But the FCO didn’t advise against travel to Corfu so we went, privileged to be able to isolate on our return and I cannot stress how thrilled we are that we did! Paxos is beautiful. Thodoris House is absolutely lovely, slap bang in the centre of the island so no distance from anywhere and so well appointed we wanted for nothing. Even the bed was really comfortable, not always a given in a rental property. Every representative we met was helpful and charming; Frances’ updates on which tavernas were open were very useful until we found our way around and the welcome pack gave us the strength to begin the search! Over the course of our two weeks more and more opened, the shops began to come out of hibernation and Il Capriccio, the magnificent gelateria on the front in Gaios burst into glorious life... All the tests and form filling are a bit of a faff but that’s all, it’s not difficult or painful (except on the wallet) and it’s necessary to keep everybody safe and the island’s economy functioning. The Paxiots rely quite heavily on British tourism so, if we can, we need to go so they can weather the COVID storm. Thank you Simpson Travel, for setting the bar stratospherically high as far as Christmas presents go!

Simply the Best
I hate writing reviews as normally you have to think of a title. But, in this case it was easy as a song by Tina Turner sprang to mind "Simply the Best".
As providers of holiday destinations they fulfil that requirement tied up with ribbon and bells on (not literally!). The locations and quality of accommodation from Villas to Hotels we have found to be second to none. The amazing thing is that whether it be hotel staff, in country reps. or travel consultants at the end of the phone they all treat you with respect and will do anything to make your holiday better than you expected. So much so that my wife could not resist, and I have booked two more for 2021.

Simpson Travel...
Simpson Travel was the only tour operator we would have considered travelling with this year and our trust was well-founded.
They kept us well-informed in the run up to our holiday and every care was taken to fulfill the hygiene standards needed to ensure our safety.
The travel arrangements were faultless: our taxi driver was waiting for us on arrival at Preveza airport, then the water taxi was ready to take us from Lefkada to Meganissi and Rebecca was waiting to greet us at Vathy port with the keys to our hire car. The villa was spotless and extremely well-equipped. Rania was always available to answer our questions and made sure our departure was as seamless as our arrival. Suffice to say, we have already booked to go back next year!

Positive: Professionalism
After the most wonderful Simpson Travel holiday in Crete last year we immediately booked again for this summer.
With a heavy heart we have just cancelled the holiday due to the UK quarantine uncertainty.
Simpson could not have been more helpful, understanding and compassionate throughout this frustrating process.
Graham (the MD) was particularly impressive - open, reasonable and utterly focussed on our needs and concerns, rather than those of the business.
I cannot recommend this company highly enough - and will definately be supporting them when we all get our lives back.
