This charming little house is a hidden gem, tucked away down an unmade road and surrounded by olive trees for further seclusion. Recently renovated by a local Skopelos family, the property is a comfortable home-from-home, having retained all of its Greek charm and lost none of its country cottage character. We particularly love the traditional vine covered pergola, ideal for an afternoon siesta.

There’s a private pool to the front of the house, with stunning views over the tree tops towards Palouki Mountain and Alonissos. With no distractions save the breeze through the trees and the classic summer soundtrack of cicadas, this is a privileged spot in which to enjoy the untamed natural beauty of Skopelos. Glysteri beach and Skopelos Town are a short drive away.

Villa Kanaris - another perfect villa from Simpson! We have had a very comfortable two weeks and have had trouble tearing ourselves away from the gorgeous terrace, amazing views and a wonderful pool. All the perfect ingredients for a total relax, unwind & recharge. A huge thank you to Marcia for all her help and support - it has been great to tap into her extensive knowledge of the island and her recommendations and tips have been invaluable. We have had a wonderful holiday and have fallen in love with this beautiful island. Thank you also to our host family who have kept the villa and pool so well and have been so friendly and welcoming we love Villa Kanaris and all the delicious Plums, Figs and Almonds from the garden!

The Hosford Family here found our one week in Skopelos PERFECT in every way. The stunning location of Villa Kanaris with its heavenly views over the harbor. They have kept us entranced all week. So much so we haven't felt the need to go anywhere, what with the cool swimming pool, well equipped cottage and the frequent calls from Marcia with her gifts & local knowledge (what a gem she is). In the cool of the evenings we have ventured out to discover the delights of this little island, the perched Chapel & the hidden beaches, always swimming in the turquoise sea & watching the sun go down. PERFECT in every way.

My friend and I fell in love with Villa Kanaris and I could certainly live here forever! Picking my breakfast from the tree's was so nice! Thanks to lovely Marcia who has been attentive and helpful. Thank you Skopelos!
Claire & Georgi – June 2017

Great holiday, travel arrangements very good with help at each stage of our journey to and from Skopelos. Lovely, traditional villa in a perfect setting.
Mrs Wakefield – August 2016

Two very happy weeks spent here in Villa Kanaris on our first trip to Skopelos. What a beautiful island – so much to do and see, and a perfect spot for a villa to relax and unwind in. Such a treat to be able to pick and eat fresh figs, almonds and plums from the trees in the orchard. The food in general has been excellent! Lovely people and some great spots. A family favourite was eating under the big tree on the beacj in Agnondas, but plenty of other choice over the island. The Three pines and snorkeling is a must! Such a stunning spot! We also enjoyed kayaking – a great way to see another view of the island and get to some secluded coves. Great fun! Finally, the lovely Marcia and charming Kanaris – always there to help out and support! A big thank you! Skopelos, we love you!
Mr Briggs – July 2016

Great two weeks on Skopelos. We visited Stafilos Beach every morning and we took breakfast with us. Spent morning on the beach before it got busy. After 10 am the sunbeds fill up quickly. Had lunch in taverna overlooking the beach. The menu was basic but good. Best standard of restaurant food by far is Agnanti in Glossa. You must book the roof top table in advance. If you go in the evening take the road that cuts across the middle of the island by mount Delphi for breathtaking views. Set off late afternoon for best sunset views. Eating back at the villa the Prawn Saganaki recipe in Simpson Travel Recipe book is excellent. Marcia is excellent with a lot of local knowledge of the island. Thank you!
Mr Boyle – July 2016

We had a fabulous week in this lovely rustic villa! Marcia has been so helpful all week. Thanks very much! We managed to get around most of the island. We found a tiny secluded beach near the 'Three trees' and went snorkeling. We saw quite a few fish and tiny shoals. Been in swimming pool at twilight – great experience! The people of Skopelos are amazing. So friendly! Food has been good. Lovely choices. The vegetarian choice in most tavernas is very welcome. P.S. Privileged to meet Mr Simpson this week as visited the island!
Mrs Postins – June 2016

It has been our first visit to Skopelos and we have enjoyed staying in this quirky villa in glorious sunshine with temperatures of 31 °C. Marcia has been very helpful, always available and with detailed local knowledge. We would recommend the drive up to Agios Ioannis - the Mama Mia Chapel and climbing the steps (around 200) to the chapel itself. The monasteries on the other side of the bay provide an interesting window on a past religious life and were worth the drive! Also the Vakratsa House Museum in Skopelos town. Our favourite restaurant is Olivo in Skopelos town with their baked cod being excellent! Thank you Simpson Travel!
Mr Narraway – June 2016

We were seeking some solitude and Villa Kanaris has provided it perfectly. The highlights have been the beach of Perivoli, the long walks and the consistently high standard from the local restaurants. Our favourites have been the paella at Anna's, the lamb at To Rodi and the mackerel at Agnanti in Glossa. Marcia has been really helpful and the whole holiday - a real delight!
Mr Stone – September 2015

We had loved our week here and will definitely come back. Beautiful beaches, enjoyed some walks with beautiful views and wonderful scent of herbs. Good snorkeling. some amazing off the walk coves for swimming.Marcia has very useful tips on things to do, places to go and good restaurants. Simpson Travel is to be highly recommended.
Mr Shilliday – August 2015

We enjoyed our fortnight in this lovely spot. Great views and always a lovely breeze on the terrace. Zoupa is a great new addition in town and Olivo is still worth a visit! A day kayaking with Skopelos Kayaking was a highlight. Thanks to Marcia for all her help and information.
Mrs Simms – August 2015

A glorious, happy fortnight spent at a perfect villa in beautiful surroundings. We will miss the charming people, the excellent restaurants (Agnanti particularly), the sun, the sea, even the cicadas! A special thank you to Marcia for all her help and kindness. Definitely one of our best holidays and we very much like to return soon!
Mr Cox – July 2015

A lovely two weeks. Beautiful property and wonderfully maintained throughout our stay by the girls. Visited many of the beaches most of which are very well kept up. Some excellent meals at Zoupa and Agnanti in Glossa. Marcia is a source of local information and has always been available to answer any questions. We would wholeheartedly recommend Simpson Travel!
Mrs Ross – June 2015

We have had a lovely relaxing time during our second visit to this pretty island. It's worth exploring all the beaches. We have enjoyed eating at Skopelos town - Olivo and Zoupa put a modern twist on traditional Greek cuisine. The fish of the day is always a good choice at the taverna right at the end of the seafront (by the harbour wall). We recommend the drive to Agnontas for a lovely lunch with a great view. Thanks to Marcia for her help and advice!
Mr Caleb – June 2015

We have spent a hot, sunny week in Skopelos. The trip with Aegeo Sailing was especially enjoyable and gave us the opportunity to learn to sail, visit Alonnissos and swim from the boat in the beautiful waters around the islands. We went over to Kastani beach and walked out to the Three trees in Agnontas. Many places were still quiet as it was early in the season. Car journeys were always interesting, particularly the sudden change of surface - never quite sure whether we should have been driving along some of the tracks we found ourselves on? As for eating, we always enjoyed whatever we chose, but Alexander's and To Rodi stood out for good food and pretty courtyard settings. We villa has everything we needed and I know we will miss our breakfast outside admiring the fantastic view and eating the pink grapefruits which have been so delicious!
Mrs Hipwell – May 2015

Simpson Travel has restored my faith in using a travel company, they have nailed the personal touch, making our holiday stress free and truly relaxing. We will be booking again!
Mrs Graves – August 2014

We have really enjoyed the slower pace of life here and have spent many hours looking at the view from this lovely house. The pool is a real bonus too. It is a delightful spot. Thank you Marcia, Rania and Rania's mother! We hope to return.
Mr Parsons – July 2014

Thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing holiday. Charmingly idiosyncratic villa in a great position to enjoy this part of the Aegean. Skopelos is a lovely island thankfully underdeveloped.
Mr and Mrs Maxwell – June 2014
