Dinner on the terrace of this fine property, with the most charming views across the Ionian Sea to mainland Greece, is a wonderful moment. With a stunning pool and comfortable seating you can linger and savour the phenomenal vista for as long as you wish. The house itself is beautifully contemporary, with three spacious en-suite bedrooms to suit a family or a group of friends.
Villa Heleni sits above Monodendri beach, a 400m sweep of white pebbles lapped by translucent turquoise sea. In spring and autumn, it's a haven for those who prefer a relaxing sojourn with a scattering of like-minded visitors either scattered along the beach or sampling the fresh fish at one of the two waterside tavernas. In the height of summer, late July and August, a different clientele arrive: families with teenage children, young couples and those who enjoy a slightly faster pace, bringing a more upbeat feel and vibrant atmosphere.
The beach is a mere five-minute stroll down a meandering lane that finishes at Monodendri (longer on the uphill journey back). In the afternoon on hot August days music may sometimes be heard wafting up from the beach, but by late afternoon most sunworshippers have departed and you'll have time to enjoy a quiet cocktail in one of the two tavernas before they close before dinner.
Whilst maintaining its own independence and privacy, Villa Heleni can be rented along with Monodendri Blue and Thanelli to provide a spacious venue for an extended family gathering or a group of friends.

We had to change destination due to Covid-19 and we chose Villa Heleni on the beautiful island of Paxos. Flights, transfers and hire car were seamless with a Simpson representative every step of the way to help us and the same on the way back. The villa was frankly stunning. Wonderful house, spotlessly clean and beautifully equipped. A fabulous pool and stunning views. A charming pool man who was full of ideas for where we should visit and regular cleaning and linen deliveries. The Simpson staff on Paxos were in regular contact to check all was well and also gave some great tips for restaurants and days out. We enjoyed some fabulous meals, a wonderful boat trip around the island just for us, swimming in deserted bays and generally just chilling out in the lovely warm weather. I can wholeheartedly recommend both Paxos and of course Simpson Travel. If we are all alive next year and allowed to travel then Simpson Travel will be the team for us!

From start to finish everything was done so seamlessly, and when we arrived at the villa it was delightful. We loved that we got to explore the whole of the island with ease both by car and boat. Stuart, our rep, was very knowledgeable and fantastic at recommending things for all of us to do. Great service from Julie at the port waiting to catch our boat transfer – we didn't have to queue in the heat with the baby and our 5-year-old, she very kindly took us to the front to board first and the same happened on our return, and at the airport security, massive plus for people travelling with children.
First time we have returned to a villa – and Heleni was just as wonderful the second time round. Hoping to return to Paxos again next year.

We have had a lovely week in Paxos. The villa is in a great location and is very comfortable. The views are fantastic. We didn't stray too far (although nowhere is too far!). Monodendri Beach, with its amazingly clear sea, is a great place to spend the afternoon if you can tear yourself away from the pool. We hired a boat for the day and went around the island, stepping off briefly at Anti Paxos. We are very sad to be going home, but hope to make a return visit soon. Hope you enjoy your holiday as much as we have.

Our second annual family holiday with Simpson Travel and it was fabulous – again! I just got back from Paxos staying at Villa Heleni. Impressed doesn't even start to describe my feelings about the holiday. I was a little sceptical on doing Europe being a Caribbean connoisseur of many years, but Simpson Travel staff were totally impeccable. On arrival our hostess met us at the airport, then another at the jetty in Paxos where our car awaited. We then got a welcome pack and even a little bag of Easter Eggs! With great driving instructions we made it and parked in the driveway of this beautiful villa. The cleaners were great and we chilled out the moment we got there. The weather wasn't brilliant for the first couple of days but to be honest we didn't really care! When the time came a private ferry taxi was arranged and we were boosted by our Simpson Travel hostess to the front of a long public queue and boarded our water taxi with minimum wait. On arrival in Corfu we were met by two extremely friendly ladies from Simpson Travel for who again nothing was too much trouble. In the taxi to the airport I was just commenting to the rest of my party of four how Simpson Travel really went that extra mile and we would definitely return again and use Simpson Travel, when the door opened and we were welcomed to the airport arrivals by another Simpson Travel agent, who promptly whisked us straight to the Club Check-in and booked us in within minutes in front of the queues.... Fantastic service, professional people managed by a clearly professional company. Well done Simpson Travel...top drawer!
