Fantastic holiday! First ever visit to Corsica but it won’t be the last! Beautiful villa, so well-equipped and a fabulous location. The daily spectacle of the sunset was something to behold and became an evening ritual – glass of wine and cameras at the ready. Very impressed with the level of service provided by Simpson Travel and by Jenny – could not have asked for anything more. Sad to leave this beautiful island. Until next time… a bientôt!
Carolyn, Sheila & Pat – September 2018
The villa has amazing views, lovely pool and is very comfortable. The location is great and I recommend everyone takes the train both to Calvi and Ile Rousse – beware, trains don’t stick to the assigned times and often turn up going in the wrong direction to which you thought – see train times online. In Ile Rousse L’Escale does a lovely range of food. In Calvi we went to A Candella in the citadel (much less busy than the roads outside) but I recommend booking. On one morning we went canyoning at the Fargo rock pools and river. Altogether a wonderful trip, thanks Simpson Travel.
Saoirse & Jack – August 2018
We had a very relaxing in two weeks in Villa Davia, set in such a lovely part of Corsica, it’s our third trip with Simpson Travel and we have been well looked after, so I’m sure it won’t be our last! If you are interested in scuba diving, we spent the last couple of weeks diving with E.P.I.C. Plongée in Calvi. Both my son and I are experienced divers but I was very impressed with the equipment, approach and professionalism. I would recommend for Try-Dives combined with snorkelling. For those who can dive, the Friday night dive is brilliant!
The Sutherlands – July 2018
I was a little nervous travelling alone with my daughter and son for the first time, but I couldn’t have wished for a better experience. Simpson Travel representatives were there as we stepped off the aeroplane with lots of information on places to visit and for eating out. Plage de Ghjunchitu was brilliant, with soft white sand and beautiful clear water which was nice and shallow. Ideal if you have small children. Villa Davia was perfect. Comfortable, clean and, in my opinion, with the best sea view ever!
Emma, Izzy & Harry – May 2018
If you love sea views and the convenience of your own private pool then look no further than Villa Davia. It’s a beautiful villa set on a hill overlooking the sea. Its position makes it ideal for anyone wishing to get away from it all, yet be within a short car drive of fabulous beaches, pretty little towns and wonderful mountain landscapes.
Mrs Heyes – May 2018
Villa Davia was perfect! A glorious view, excellent accommodation, lovely little pool and stunning location. We were a large party of various ages from 1-year-old upwards, and we had a brilliant holiday. The local rep was really helpful and knowledgeable and went out of her way to make sure we felt welcome and relaxed. We're already planning our return visit...
Mrs Blumenau – July 2017
Another excellent holiday with Simpson Travel, fantastic location and lovely villa. We are looking forward to our next trip. Thank you.
Mr North – June 2017
Had a fantastic time in Villa Davia. What a location! Loads to do if you can tear yourself from the veranda and pool. Superb beaches and restaurants. We hope to back very soon.
Angela & Tony – June 2017
Villa Davia is lovely and very comfortable, we were so impressed with the thought that had gone into making sure our arrival was stress free, lovely thoughtful welcome pack was here on arrival, the instructions to the villa were great as well. Very impressed with Simpson Travel. The owner of Villa Davia was also so kind and helpful. We love Corsica, the sunsets from the terrace were beautiful, the beach and cove were amazing. Thank you for a wonderful holiday at Villa Davia.
The Stephens Family – June 2017
Simpson Travel takes all the hassle out of arranging a holiday and that is why we would definitely use them again. Northern Corsica was a delight and our lovely rep, Zena, was helpful and informative about the local area. She mentioned she might be transferring to the south of the island and we might just follow her there for our next trip!
Mrs Donald – September 2016
Villa Davia is in a superb location for walking down to a beautiful beach, fantastic for swimming and snorkelling, as well as being an easy walk to the train. We travelled with teenagers and this gave them some freedom to go into Calvi or Ile Rousse independently. The pool is small as described, but great to dip in and cool down. The sunsets at this villa are superb, spectacular every night and followed by the beautiful stars. Lovely owners, great rep and welcome package. We also really appreciated plenty of dishwasher tablets, washing machine tablets, etc. – it just made everything easy.
Mrs Jones – July 2016
We had a very enjoyable holiday in Corsica with Simpson Travel and will definitely return to this beautiful island. The reason Simpson is different to other companies is the excellent airport service and flight (chartered) and the concierge in Corsica.
Mrs Peacock – August 2015
A very enjoyable and good quality holiday – arrangements were straightforward and everyone involved was very helpful.
Mrs Badham – May 2015
A very relaxing week in this beautifully sited villa, with fantastic sunsets. We have been to Corsica many times, but this villa has the best view, we hope to return again to this lovely island.
Mr Percival – September 2014
A fantastic week in Corsica, all have loved staying in the villa, with the children always in the pool! A different beach to enjoy every day. The view from the terrace is one to be captured. Everyone has been so very friendly.
Mr Preston – June 2014
Our first trip to Corsica and we're all in agreement that we would come back again, and to Villa Davia. The villa has been lovely, wonderful sea views and the secluded beach is very nice for snorkelling and sunbathing.
Mr Marsden – May 2014
We have loved staying in this very comfortable villa and exploring the stunningly beautiful coastline and mountains. Corsica is a walker's paradise. We hope to come back soon, thanks Simpson Travel.
Ms Chandler – September 2013
Really enjoyed our stay at Villa Davia – found the villa to be very comfortable and spacious. Lots to see and do. The coast and beaches are irresistible – how fantastic to have your own right on your doorstep! Lovely relaxing holiday – thank you!
The Abbit Family – August 2013
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Davia, the view has been spectacular. The highlights of our visit to Corsica have been the rock pools and evening sunset walk up to the lighthouse in Ile Rousse. Overall a fantastic holiday in this beautiful country.
Mr & Mrs Knowles – August 2013
Great two weeks with a spectacular view over an ever-changing seascape. Walk to the beach was very convenient and enjoyed before the crowds descended. Overall Corsica does not disappoint with astounding natural beauty and variety.
The Munden Family – August 2013
We had a splendid week – thank you.
Mr & Mrs Spraggs – July 2013
We have had a wonderful week in Villa Davia. Beautiful location and perfect views. Very comfortable and well equipped.
The Shapland Family – July 2013
Many thanks for an excellent holiday. All the arrangements were very good and the villa was outstanding. Even the weather behaved!
Mr Whiteman – September 2012
We were delighted with everything about the holiday. The attention to detail in the personal service given was a credit to you and when a bottle was left with birthday greetings on the doorstep mid-week – that just summed up the unique service. Thank you all so much!
Mrs Cooper – May 2012
Our choice of Corsican properties is as diverse as the island itself, ranging from simple seaside charm to genuine luxury and style. Much of our portfolio is privately owned, and price alone is therefore not a universal guide. We contract all our accommodation in person, and each property has its individual appeal. To help you make the right choice based on your own priorities, we have devised a simple grading guide to be considered in conjunction with each individual property description, awarding up to a maximum of five stars for the below categories.
* For further clarification on Facilities and Amenities, please view the 'Details' tab for each property or speak to one of our experienced sales consultants.
With fishermen mending their nets by the harbour, Calvi’s maritime heritage remains intact. However, the town has gained a new lease of life in the cafés and bars along Quai Landry, linking the marina and the port, with stretches of beach beyond.
Inland, the unspoilt beauty of The Balagne tells a different story of mountain wildernesses and the island's unspoilt and uniquely fragrant maquis. Follow the Route des Artisans through terracotta-tiled hilltop villages, overlooking a landscape of forests and mountains, and you’ll also find that an excellent glass of local wine is never far away.
