- Stunning waterfront villa
- Metres from the sea
- Sunset views
- Gentle stroll to village restaurants
Combining the indulgence of a private pool with the privilege of a seafront location, Villa Sevdam is a rare find, perfectly positioned just two metres from the sea in Söğüt. From the silvery calm of early morning to the burnished copper of sunset over Symi island, the views from here are hypnotic, a natural spectacle that refreshes itself daily for your personal enjoyment from the dining terrace, the pool or the master bedroom balcony.
It’s just a short stroll to the village shop and waterside restaurants where you can while away lazy hours watching the water-borne comings and goings in the bay. Sleepily relaxed for most of the year, Söğüt comes alive in high season, when yacht flotillas gather to enjoy the calm, aquamarine seas and renowned seafood restaurants. The village retains an authentic charm year round however, with a traditional coffee house providing an insight into local life and hospitality.
The joy of stepping out of your villa straight onto the waterfront is one you’ll want to savour, but it would be a shame not to allow some time to explore the rugged beauty of the Bozburun Peninsula, with its pretty bays, traditional villages and timeless landscapes largely untouched by the 21st century.

This is the second year in a row that we have been to Villa Sevdam. We found the total holiday experience wonderful. Jessica (the Simpson Travel sales rep) was very good. Quick to put things right and very helpful when booking events and other things. The only drawback is the very early flight from Gatwick...we had to be up at 02:00 to make the flight (we live in Hampshire). We loved Söğüt and the villa is lovely. The people are delightful and (as New Zealanders) we found the 'Turkish Experience' enchanting.
Nick Batchelor – August 2019
Wow – what a special place and special villa. Snorkelling from the house off the pontoon – new types of fish to see every day. The villa works so well with so many areas to lounge around in and find shade. Eating out you are spoilt for choice. However, always a sense of joy and relieve at returning to Sevdam. Jess and Meltem – AMAZING.
The Gray family – August 2019
We really enjoyed our time in Söğüt. It has been so relaxing and peaceful. We have eaten out a few times but we enjoyed our glass of wine and home-cooked food sitting outside with this fantastic view. What a privilege to have been able to experience this. We loved the friendly people and how safe we felt at all times. A totally relaxing time and we hope to be back. No need for the car except to the Monday market where the local produce is fantastic. A special mention for Jessica and Meltem – great ladies who just make you want to come back.
Kathleen & Ellen – May 2019
The location, just steps from the sea, and the welcoming local village all contributed to a wonderful week in Villa Sevdam. This was our first experience with Simpson Travel and the first time as a family to Turkey and we were not disappointed. Stepping off the plane we were greeted by Jessica, the Simpson Travel representative, who was professional, knowledgeable and always available to help with any queries. Her enthusiasm for the local area and beyond helped us get the most out of our stay. Meltem also ensured we were well looked after and always with a smile. We returned home well rested, relaxed and a little bit in love with this stunning part of Turkey and its people.
Kevin & Julie Southern – September 2018
This was our first experience of Simpson Travel and Turkey. We were very impressed on both fronts. Jess, the Simpson Travel representative, was outstanding from the start. She gave us a great welcome and was very knowledgeable with regard to a number of questions we asked. In short, Jess and the wider Villa Sevdam team were outstanding. They gave us the platform to have a wonderful holiday.
Nick Batchelor – July 2018
Villa Sevdam is pure paradise! Breathtaking position with beautiful restaurants. Jessica, the Simpson Travel representative, was so helpful! It is a truly special place.
Grant & Ruth – June 2018
A truly sad day – our last full day in Villa Sevdam! We've enjoyed cloud free weather for two weeks with the slightest breeze. An unforgettable holiday in a 'time warp' – shouldn't think the way of life has changed a lot since biblical times!! Wish the world could be like this – dream on! Not to forget Jessica who was always on hand if/when needed (luckily not at all), did a great job for Simpson Travel. A night to remember with Mehmet, his family, Mutlu and Raki.
Mike & Ann Courtney – October 2017
We would definitely travel with Simpson Travel again – the description of the villa was very accurate, the representative was very helpful in all our queries and requests and especially in the light of the collapse of Monarch Airlines, we were kept informed and our return flight went at the same time as we would have done on Monarch. Many thanks.
Mrs Brownsdon – October 2017
Our first visit to this peninsula, although we have previously travelled widely in Turkey. Everyone seemed to know us from day one. This is a sleepy and extremely friendly village and Villa Sevdam lends itself to doing nothing very slowly, which has been our plan. There is somewhere to sit and enjoy the wonderful sea views at every time of the day, a drink on the roof terrace at sunset should be mandatory. This is approximately our sixth Simpson Travel holiday and they never fail to provide a level of service and accommodation just a bit above the norm. On this occasion, the on-site service from Jessica has been outstanding. Thank you.
Paul & Sandy Freedman – September 2017
We had the best week at Villa Sevdam! This is our second visit to Söğüt and this villa is definitely our favourite mainly due to the fact it is five stops to the sea. Big thanks to Jessica for all her help – we hope to be back soon.
The Partridges and Lotty – August 2017
We loved this villa so much! It was really sunny the whole week except for the last hour of our last day (but we were packing anyway!). Loved the sea – if you go all the way to the left by the jetty that is the best snorkelling patch we found.
Thompson family – July 2017
We had an amazing stay at Villa Sevdam. This little village is really special with wonderfully friendly folk. It is very peaceful and beautiful.
Catherine, Ivan, Bella & Gabriel – July 2017
Villa Sevdam is a delight. We particularly liked the privacy of the large roof terrace, from where we watched Söğüt's stunning sunsets, whilst drinking Turkish wine.
Ms Wheeler – May 2017
Our holiday with Simpson Travel was one of the best we have had. All the travel arrangements went smoothly, the BA flight was much better than the usual charters, no queues for car hire and the villa was excellent in a lovely location by the beach. Absolute bliss.
Mrs Crosbie – July 2015
Our first time to this part of Turkey and we definitely want to return. The villa and its location are perfect – so relaxing. Light dancing off the water, reflections and beautiful sunsets. Watching the local fishermen coming and going and enjoying their catch each evening. Food, wine, local people, especially Meltem and Ayten are all fabulous.
Mrs Tilstone – September 2014
We have had a wonderful week in Söğüt. Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming. Thank you especially to Meltem and Ayten for helping make our stay so special. A perfect holiday, thank you to Turkish hospitality.
Mr Shires – September 2014
We had a fantastic holiday, thank you to all those at Simpson Travel. Our second week to the Bozburun Peninsula exceeded our expectations. What a beautiful part of Turkey. Villa Sevdam was perfectly situated and we could well have stayed put in Söğüt for the week. But thanks to Ayten, who shared some gems with us and we were able to discover some of the area. Ayten not only was the perfect rep but she was also a true representation of everyone who we met in the area, charming, friendly, kind, calm and extremely welcoming. She even went the extra mile and accompanied us to the doctors. Meltem, the house cleaner, was also a treasure, nothing was ever too much trouble and always smiling. She brought us homemade gozleme and fresh flowers from her garden. The location is perfect, the local restaurants fantastic, even the mini-market owner became a friend. Villa Sevdam offers lots of sunny and shady reading spots and was perfect for the four of us. Thank you again, it was idyllic I just wish we could do it all over again.
Brooke-Taylor – August 2014
Our choice of Turkey properties is diverse, ranging from simple charm to genuine luxury and style. Much of our portfolio is privately owned, and price alone is therefore not a universal guide. We contract all our accommodation in person, and each property has its individual appeal.
To help you make the right choice based on your own priorities, we have devised a simple grading guide to be considered in conjunction with each individual property description, awarding up to a maximum of five stars for the below categories.

Reaching out from a forested coastline towards the nearby Aegean islands of Symi, Tilos and Rhodes, the Bozburun Peninsula is one of the most peaceful and picturesque corners of southwest Turkey.
Azure bays and sheltered coves, woodland, olive groves and mountains set the scene for a holiday fragranced with fields of lavender and wild thyme. Centred around the seaside town of Bozburun itself, famous for boat building, this discretely luxurious destination is a protected conservation area, made for leisurely boat trips, sea-view restaurants and walks along the cliff tops.
