- Stunning waterfront villa
- Metres from sea
- Private jetty
- Short walk to village restaurants
Villa Askim’s position is simply breathtaking, located at the far end of the picturesque fishing village of Söğüt right on a little beach. A private jetty leads invitingly into the intense blue of the bay, and a view so ridiculously perfect that it almost seems unreal. The house is attractively decorated, though in this position the emphasis is very much on outdoor living, with ample space and comfortable furniture for relaxing and dining by the sea.
It is incredibly rare these days to find places you can stay this close to the water without actually being on a boat. Part of the reason that Söğüt can still provide this magical waterfront experience is due to its geographical position, which has kept it safe from the excesses of tourist development while still providing the little fresh fish restaurants and kind hospitable people that make a Turkish holiday such a pleasure. The whole unspoilt Bozburun Peninsula can also be explored at leisure from Söğüt.
The very last part of your journey is on foot, as you are led by Villa Askim’s owner five minutes along the seafront with your luggage: a small price to pay for this truly exceptional location.

June Macpherson – September 2018
Welcome to paradise! It is so beautiful here, particularly in the early morning looking over the sea where one can occasionally see loggerhead turtles surfacing. We saw two turtles whilst snorkelling on Thursday and last week saw them on four consecutive days. There are lots of good restaurants; we especially liked Memet (wonderful grilled fish) and Esiniti (subtle take on local meze). We drove to Bayir through the mountains; it was beautiful with beautiful views. Yakun Alkan in Bozburun sells beautiful old carpets and kilims (small rugs) all over Turkey. We bought a beautiful kilim and a small carpet. Morning breakfast boat trips around bays and island is worthwhile. It was wonderful snorkelling off Ortaga beach, there are a lot of ancient pottery shards from 2-4 metres down. Jessica is a fountain of knowledge and very helpful. Julia is friendly and looks after the villa perfectly.
Ted & Diana – July 2018
Söğüt is changing in size and character but Villa Askim is constant – a delight. This was our third visit and the peace and calm remain untouched. As ever, Savas and Julia are always happy to help. Savas has offered boat rides to hidden bays and there is an excellent breakfast too. The number of restaurants is increasing and most are of a similar standard. If you want something different, Octopus, a bay away, is one of the best and will pick you up outside the mini-mart by boat and drop you off after a delicious meal. Thank you Savas.
David & Juliet – June 2018
Villa Askim is simply outstanding in every aspect. The location is quiet and unspoilt with simply the most sublime views across the enchanting Aegean Sea to the Bozburun Peninsula and its associated islands and as far as the Greek Island of Simi – all of which can be enjoyed from the villa's romantic patio, the shaded barbeque area, the beautiful pool and the private jetty (which is just 8 feet from the entrance to the villa!). Simply relax and enjoy!
Martin & Susie Spalding – May 2018
Sad to be leaving this wonderful spot again, but we look forward to returning. So, great to see Savas and Julia, Mehmet and his family and many others we have become friends with over the years. It is a home from home for us, so we do very little and the only expedition we have undertaken is Knidos. Long trip but worth it.
Julie & Rhys – May 2018
Had a great time in both Söğüt and Akyaka. Glorious part of Turkey. Lovely people. Lovely food, fantastic scenery and of course exemplary care from Simpson Travel reps. What's not to love?
Mrs Adams – October 2017
Coming back again to this lovely place and its friendly people was a total delight. We spent a deeply relaxing time here and enjoyed the weather and the peace and quiet. Savas and his family are the kindest of hosts and his new restaurant is very good and even better will deliver to you!
Mrs Akin – September 2017
We had a wonderful week in Villa Askim. The location, right on the seafront, couldn't be bettered. The restaurants along the beach in Söğüt were great – we didn't have a bad meal. We enjoyed visiting Selimiye and Bozburun and had a lovely boat trip round the local coves with breakfast provided – organised by Jessica, our excellent Simpson Travel rep. Savas, the owner of the villa was really helpful and the chef from his pansiyon, behind Askim, cooked a delicious dinner – served on our terrace right by the sea. One of our most relaxing holidays ever – we hope to return.
Miss Milton – September 2017
Everything about our holiday and Simpson Travel exceeded our expectations. We will certainly be repeat customers!
Mr Thorne – August 2017
We found Jessica to be a very friendly and knowledgeable manager. The amount of information she gave us was terrific. We stayed at Villa Askim for one week then moved to the Simpson Secret at Akyaka. Both villas were presented superbly well. The driving instructions for the transfers were very clear and accurate with the mileages between points spot on.We had a terrific two weeks. Thank you to everybody at Simpson Travel for everything. We will be booking again for next year very soon.
Mrs Rudd – June 2017
A truly special place. Thank you for another wonderful Simpson Travel holiday!
Mrs Bond – October 2016
Our rep, Bilgen, was lovely and very helpful and knowledgeable. She gave me a lovely owl macrame necklace which she had made which I had expressed an interest in. We had such a lovely time at Villa Askim that we have booked to go again next year!
Mrs Robinson – October 2016
Turkey has had such a bad press lately, it was so great to go back and enjoy the warmth and friendliness of the Aegean coast. We did not want to come home.
Mrs Adams – September 2016
Lovely village, very friendly and hospitable people, the real Turkey.
Mrs Akin – August 2016
Villa Askim was wonderful. You could not be any closer to the sea! Amazing views and sunsets which we watched from the jetty. Lovely restaurants in the village, very friendly locals. A really special and unique find... Another lovely holiday with Simpson Travel!
Mrs Nashnush – July 2016

Our choice of Turkey properties is diverse, ranging from simple charm to genuine luxury and style. Much of our portfolio is privately owned, and price alone is therefore not a universal guide. We contract all our accommodation in person, and each property has its individual appeal.
To help you make the right choice based on your own priorities, we have devised a simple grading guide to be considered in conjunction with each individual property description, awarding up to a maximum of five stars for the below categories.
* For further clarification on Facilities and Amenities, please view the 'Details' tab for each property or speak to one of our experienced sales consultants.
Reaching out from a forested coastline towards the nearby Aegean islands of Symi, Tilos and Rhodes, the Bozburun Peninsula is one of the most peaceful and picturesque corners of southwest Turkey.
Azure bays and sheltered coves, woodland, olive groves and mountains set the scene for a holiday fragranced with fields of lavender and wild thyme. Centred around the seaside town of Bozburun itself, famous for boat building, this discretely luxurious destination is a protected conservation area, made for leisurely boat trips, sea-view restaurants and walks along the cliff tops.
