- Romantic and cosy
- Located in the heart of the village
This beautiful seafront cottage set in the pretty fishing village of Söğüt is probably the most sought after property on the Bozburun Peninsula. Waterfront Cottage is classically romantic and sunsets can be enjoyed from either the ground floor patio or the spacious bedroom terrace.
For those seeking a secluded spot, the private pool is slightly tucked away surrounded by lush vegetation and manicured gardens. In front of the pool and facing the sea is the barbecue area where you can slowly cook the freshest of fish just caught by one of the local fisherman!
Söğüt has changed little over the decades and part of the attraction is to experience the local culture of a typical Turkish fishing village, whilst at the same time recharge tired batteries and return home completely refreshed. For those who can tear themselves away from the crimson red of the daily sunset, the rugged charms and beauty of the Bozburun Peninsula await discovery!

You know you're in safe hands booking with Simpson - such a smooth process of booking and getting to the destination - and each villa they have is so incredible - we loved every bit of our holiday!
Mr Casby – October 2017
This is our 3rd Simpsons Holiday now and they have all been great but Waterfront Cottage in Sogut has been our favourite. In fact we've holidayed in some pretty impressive locations all around the world but this perfect little cottage beats them all.
Mrs Gray – October 2017
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waterfront Cottage in (Bozburun Peninsula) and we are considering booking again for a visit in 2018. The location, the locals, the accommodation, food and relaxed atmosphere were all perfect. Simpsons rep Jessica was a joy, she is a credit to the company and true ambassador for the area. Can't wait to do it all again.
Mr Warren – October 2017
Once again, we have had the best holiday ever. Total Bliss! BLISS. There is no other way to describe this haven. All the restaurants are excellent. We will be back again next year !
Maria & Tony – September 2017
Thank you all for a truly magical holiday. The level of service, efficiency and thoughtfulness shown by all Simpson staff from booking, pre-departure and in-resort representatives makes it very difficult do look elsewhere when booking another holiday!
Mrs Sansone – September 2017
This was our third Simpson holiday, and it did not disappoint! The villa and its location were fabulous, and although we didn't have any problems, we felt - as before - that if there had been, they would have been sorted. A definite 'peace of mind' factor with Simpson. Our rep was both helpful and delightful. We don't usually go back to the same place, but we were so pleased with our holiday in [sorry it's secret] we might just do so this time.
Mr Carter – August 2017
Waterfront, Sogut - Beautiful quant villa that places you in the heart and sole of the village. Watch the fisherman bringing in the nets, the restaurants tending to the fruit and vegetables in their allotments, and the shepherd taking his goats for an early morning graze in the olive groves along the waterfront. Be prepared, and feeling like VIP guests, to say goodbye to everyone in the village before you leave Mavis Denis, Kalkan - A lot of villa for your money! Beautiful villa overlooking a stunning view of the sea and bay. Great location in probably what's classed as the best part of Kalkan. Very quiet and peaceful. Expect to be "wowed"
Ms Gil – July 2017
Like others before, Sogut has woven its magic around us. It is so rare to find such an unspoilt and friendly place. The waterfalls are worth visiting, (but avoid when the jeep safaris are there) it is invigorating to swim in the pools. Relax and enjoy going back in time - catch the fishermen and women in the morning sorting out their catch, the goats being loaded and unloaded off the boats, the sheep being walked along the waters edge and grazing in the orchards and the beautifully kept allotment of vegetables.
Anthony and Sarah – June 2017
Waterfront Cottage is a real treasure, the epitome of an ideal spot for a peaceful, relaxing vacation. The cottage is so comfortable and felt like home and the gardens simply gorgeous. The villagers were incredibly welcoming and we left feeling as though we had made new friends. Our rep, Bilgen, was charming, well-informed, generous with her time and a delight to get to know. At the end of our two weeks we didn't want to leave Turkey. Thanks you Simpsons!
Mrs Carrington – May 2016
I would love to tell everyone how wonderful our holiday was. How beautiful the villa, how great the food, the country, the friendliest people but I am not going to say where as I would like this little paradise to stay a secret.
Mrs Saunders – August 2015
There is something reassuring to the rhythm of the heartbeat of Sogut. The beautiful sunsets whether viewed from the heights of the Taslica road, the villa, the terrace at Manzara or the Bozburun road.
Mr Haynes – October 2014
Arriving at Waterfront Cottage is wonderful, it is all you could wish for and more. The village is magic, so unspoiled and very charming and relaxing. Ayten is a lovely lady, Simpson Travel are very lucky to have her, nothing is too much trouble. This villa has everything you could wish for. We would love to come back next year.
Mrs Oldfield – September 2014
This is our second stay in Waterfront Cottage - the first was wonderful and the second equally so! Ayten, as last year, has been an absolute star - we are very lucky to have such a good rep.
Mr Sparrow – September 2014
Location, location, location - and the evening sunset and later colours were a big bonus. As always, the Turkish people are warm and friendly and very helpful.
Mrs Williams – September 2014
Couldn't have had a better honeymoon! Thanks Simpson.
Mr Hanan – August 2014
We had a fantastic time once again. This really is a piece of heaven. The locals are the nicest, friendliest people that you could hope to meet. We will be back next year, but for longer.
Mr Barwick – July 2014
The Waterfront Cottage is like going home, albeit an extremely lovely home by the sea. It is pretty and quirky and a joy to stay in.
Mrs Jones – July 2014
Waterfront Cottage is a delightful little house full of interesting and quirky objects, beautifully presented and decorated and sitting in a fantastic, fragrant garden. After a gin and tonic or two the sea is close enough to lull you to sleep in the beautiful bedroom, with the gentle rise and fall of the waves. A totally relaxing experience to be highly recommended.
Mr Prince – June 2013
Lovely cottage in a beautiful, peaceful location which feels like home from the moment you arrive. The locals were so friendly and welcoming and the restaurants offer plentiful tasty, fresh food. We don't often return to the same destination - but I have a feeling we will be going back to Waterfront Cottage.
Mrs Standish – May 2013
Our trip to beautiful, peaceful Sogut was one of the best holidays we've ever had, thanks to Simpson Travel. We were well looked after at all times and the rental property was excellent. We'll be back, but please don't tell everyone, or they'll all want to go!
Mr Cox – April 2013
Our choice of Turkey properties is diverse, ranging from simple charm to genuine luxury and style. Much of our portfolio is privately owned, and price alone is therefore not a universal guide. We contract all our accommodation in person, and each property has its individual appeal.
To help you make the right choice based on your own priorities, we have devised a simple grading guide to be considered in conjunction with each individual property description, awarding up to a maximum of five stars for the below categories.
* For further clarification on Facilities and Amenities, please view the 'Details' tab for each property or speak to one of our experienced sales consultants.
Reaching out from a forested coastline towards the nearby Aegean islands of Symi, Tilos and Rhodes, the Bozburun Peninsula is one of the most peaceful and picturesque corners of southwest Turkey.
Azure bays and sheltered coves, woodland, olive groves and mountains set the scene for a holiday fragranced with fields of lavender and wild thyme. Centred around the seaside town of Bozburun itself, famous for boat building, this discretely luxurious destination is a protected conservation area, made for leisurely boat trips, sea-view restaurants and walks along the cliff tops.
