Surrounded by an olive grove and wild forests of pine, this painstakingly restored shepherd's home overlooks the magnificent panorama of Gokova Bay and beyond.

Once the childhood haunt of Çağlar, the owner, The Shepherd’s House has been transformed from a simple rural hut to a stylish villa, reflecting Çağlar’s passion for creating quality accommodation in stunning locations.

The interiors are a perfect combination of modern and traditional Turkey; wooden floors and ceilings with contemporary glass doors allowing glimpses of Gokova Bay from the main bedroom. The spacious outside terrace offers ample seating around the swimming pool, with captivating views from every aspect.

With two bedrooms this villa can be enjoyed by either couples or young families.

For those wishing to explore the area around this idyllic spot, the pretty beach of Çinar and the attractions of Akyaka, a traditional Turkish town with its unique Ula-Mugla architecture, are a short drive away.

Customer Feedback

We love combining beach, walking and visiting historical sites whilst on holiday. This is something that the Simpson reps will always advise us on and, together with the comfort and flexibility of a Simpson villa, leads to a relaxing and interesting holiday. From boat trips to mud-baths, our time in turkey was thoroughly enjoyable and I still had time to read 4 books!
Ms Sims – September 2015

This is our third Simpson cottage and they just keep getting better! The atmosphere makes you very lazy and we loved relaxing by the pool looking at the view. Thank you to Anthony and Mehmet.
Onash – September 2014

We are two old fogies who have very much enjoyed our week here. At our age we haven't wanted to visit beaches and rush around too much, but we've loved the pool, the peace, the views and the mountain backdrop. The welcome hamper was excellent and the number of things provided...more than we expected, and the lovely fresh bread provided by Mehmet when he came to do the pool in the mornings was a real bonus!
Mr & Mrs Jenkin – September 2014

We've loved the Shepherd's House. Stunning mountain backdrop, fabulous views and sunsets and lovely, friendly and welcoming people everywhere we've been. Thank you to Mehmet and the whole team for making our stay so comfortable, and thanks to Anthony for all your tips and advice.
The Diffey's – August 2014

We have had a relaxing week here following our stay at a villa on the Bozburun Peninsula. Thank you to Anthony for all your help and advice!
Jenkins Family – July 2014

Very many thanks to the Simpson staff for making our stay so comfy. Shepherd's House is so peaceful and grounded, the views are spectacular and the back drop really dramatic. We encountered many forms of wildlife! Thanks to all for making our stay very memorable. We will be back!
Gunning – June 2014

A great couple of weeks spent at the Shepherd's House. Nice mix of weather, hotter as the month progressed. Thanks to Memet for the daily bread delivery and looking after the pool!
Mrs Lambert – May 2014

Beautiful villa with amazing views. Everything you could want in a holiday.
Dr Swindles – June 2013

A super holiday with a very good Company. We stayed in the Shepherds House in Akyaka which was so peaceful and beautiful. The house itself was perfect, both inside and out, constructed by a local man, much attention being given to the tiny touches. Pool lovely, outside area large with panoramic views over the mountains, sea to the Bozburun peninsular. We were very well looked after, especially at the house and the weather hot and sunny. Wildlife around including tortoise, birds, lizards, fireflies and a visit by a wild boar.
Mrs Cole – April 2013

Our choice of Turkey properties is diverse, ranging from simple charm to genuine luxury and style. Much of our portfolio is privately owned, and price alone is therefore not a universal guide. We contract all our accommodation in person, and each property has its individual appeal.

To help you make the right choice based on your own priorities, we have devised a simple grading guide to be considered in conjunction with each individual property description, awarding up to a maximum of five stars for the below categories.
