Our first Simpson Hotel on Lefkada is an ultra-stylish, adult-only retreat, standing proudly in the hills above the east coast, with spectacular views across the sea to the Greek mainland and situated just a 10-minute stroll from one of the prettiest little villages on the island.
The ten contemporary Katouna Suites have been designed with real flair and imagination. Cut cleverly into this dramatic landscape, all our generous and sophisticated suites have a terrace or balcony overlooking the dazzling waters, and are beautifully appointed, with sumptuous beds and luxury fittings. And if you're looking for something above and beyond, the two magnificent penthouse suites offer unbeatable panoramic views and are extremely spacious, both inside and out.
The airy reception leads to a cool seating area and library where you can borrow that perfect holiday read, and our Simpson Concierge is on hand to help you book boat trips, make dinner reservations or point you towards one of the island's many idyllic beaches. And if you're in need of a little pampering, the hotel also has a treatment room with massage available on request.
Outside, clever landscaping creates different levels in the gardens and there are steps down to the simply glorious 23-metre infinity pool and surrounding terrace. Lying here and admiring the view from one of the elegant cabanas is simply heavenly. The poolside bar has an easy, laid-back vibe, serving drinks and snacks throughout the day and into the evening.
Katouna itself is a very special village. Just a 10-minute stroll from the hotel, it has a delightful church, small central square and two family-run tavernas serving local specialities. It is easy to fall in love with this tranquil spot, immersing yourself in the slow pace of life that the locals enjoy year-round but if you are looking for something more, Katouna Suites are superbly situated. Lefkada town is just a 15-minute drive away and is a vibrant and enticing place for shopping and dining, with an excellent choice of restaurants; some by the water, others tucked away amongst the lovely cobbled streets in the centre of town.
The nearby beach in Lygia, just a 10-minute drive away, is quiet and low-key whilst a little further south in Nikiana, the coastline is more developed and offers a more luxurious choice of beachside bars and restaurants. Pretty Agios Nikitas and the famous beaches of the west coast are also very accessible and a drive up through the mountains to enjoy a Lefkada sunset is an unmissable experience.

We have recently returned from a week's stay at the Katouna Suites and could not fault the experience. The whole Simpson journey from start to finish was absolutely wonderful. Maria, the Katouna Suites rep, was amazing and answered all our questions and booked restaurants for us. Layte and George in the bar/restaurant were very attentive. We will definitely return.

We enjoyed a very relaxing week at Katouna Suites. The accommodation, location and stunning views were exactly as described and matched all of the photographs. The staff were extremely professional, knowledgeable about the area, friendly and very helpful. Car parking on site was easy and safe and the road leading to Katouna was one of the better ones! We had one of the rooms with the larger balcony (Lazarata) which had some shade as well as sun all day which suited our needs. The two tavernas and coffee shop in the village offer completely different menus and the atmosphere in the square was perfect for a relaxed evening without having to drive anywhere. We would highly recommend Katouna Suites for a quiet holiday with everything you need on the doorstep. Maria even organised a sea taxi to take us to Meganissi for the day so we could revisit one of our favourite tavernas from our last 3 holidays. Katouna is another perfect Simpson experience.
Our first holiday with Simpson Travel and we weren’t disappointed. It felt as if we were wrapped in a comfy blanket of luxury from start to finish. The Katouna Suites in Lefkada were amazing and the staff attentive and efficient. From the comfortable bed to the gorgeous breakfast we both enjoyed a fantastic holiday.
Once again and with the assistance of David Conitzer from Simpsons Travel, we arrived at Katouna Suites located on an elevated site having stunning views over the surrounding headland and coastline. The hotel is lovely with a large sun terrace pool and loads of sun beds. The staff were outstanding, and in particular Maria, who's knowledge and help was beyond belief. She always had a smile and was available 24 hours a day. Looking for a relaxing holiday with stunning views and accommodation, we would definitely recommend Katouna Suites, Lefkada, Greece.
Lefkada Katouna Suites, up a steep windy road and very quiet and private. Maria was always on hand to book any restaurants for you and arrange for boat hire. Maria was very charming and very good at her job, nothing too much trouble. Laki at breakfast was always willing to make an alternative if you didn’t want something, with food being served rather than a buffet. The staff were all excellent. We had a very pleasant week exploring the island.

Simpson Travel have been present and available from booking to departure home which has been reassuring throughout our holiday. Inclusion of the hire car and step by step directions were extremely helpful and made travelling easier. Facilities at the Katouna Suites were excellent and staff so friendly that there was little need to chill anywhere else. The concierge arranged a superb day catamaran trip (lunch and drinks included) for a group of guests at short notice and the bar staff went over and above expectations to meet guest needs. We would happily go back again and recommend Simpsons to anyone considering their services.

From booking to arriving home, Simpsons provide excellent service. We were greeted at Katouna Suites with the most stunning view and a beautiful, peaceful hotel. The rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished with everything we could have needed. The whole hotel is positioned around it's stunning location and we never tired of soaking up the view. Fabulous pool and delicious breakfasts which varied daily. Within easy walking distance there is a traditional taverna ,contemporary restaurant and bar/cafe but the lovely Maria will help with recommendations farther afield or booking taxis. All the staff at Katouna suites were amazingly helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend Lefkada and the Katouna suites.

An absolutely fabulous week. The hotel is perfect, with beautiful rooms and stunning views. The breakfasts were filling and delicious, served in a lovely setting around the pool. A special mention to both Maria for her friendliness and advice and Laki for his warmth and service. We loved everything about Lefkada and most of all Sivota. The boat trip to Meganissi is a perfect day out. Katouna is definitely luxurious and a wonderful place to come and relax and get away from the pressures of everyday life.

We had a very enjoyable 11-night stay at the Katouna Suites in late May 2023. The food and accommodation were very good; the rooms were spacious with lovely views and the breakfasts were consistently good. The staff were very friendly and eager to please: a special mention here for Laitie who served our breakfasts and worked at the poolside bar, and an extra special mention for our concierge Maria who was excellent in every respect. The Katouna suites are within easy walking distance of the charming village of Katouna which has two good restaurants, and not far from Lygia, a village on the coast which has more restaurant choices. Overall a very relaxing and happy time.

A little slice of paradise where one is spoiled and indulged in every way, this holiday was above and beyond what we expected. You would never tire of the beautiful panoramic view and the glorious sunsets every morning and the pin drop silence and calm makes it so easy to chill down and relax. Breathtaking vistas await on every corner of the island on the coast and in the mountains … the sea really is that blue! We both left a little piece of our hearts in Lefkada.

Katouna Suites are extremely comfortable with good beds and a large balcony area and room space. The views are spectacular. The staff were particularly friendly; the manager Iannis and the two girls at the pool bar Maria and Ailin especially. It makes a real difference when the staff are always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. The pool was warm and clean and spacious. We only ever had breakfast but the food was delicious, well prepared and with good variety every day. We will definitely consider booking again (or at another Simpson Travel venue).
Amazing - took a chance on Simpson Travel as a last minute decision for a holiday and not having heard of, or used them before - couldn’t have been more impressed by the whole process from start to finish - if anything the holiday exceeded our expectations and will definitely use again.
Katouna suites is one of the loveliest places we've ever stayed. The views are incredible. The room was fabulous, nothing was too much trouble for the lovely friendly and welcoming staff. Our only negative is that there were 3 days with no bar service so more staff needed. Maria was bar staff, waitress, pool cleaner, receptionist and who knows what else. She was AMAZING!

Simpsons service from booking to availability of local reps was excellent. Lefkada was unknown to me but was a fabulous and quiet place while we were there. Recommended.
Our experience of the Katouna Luxury Suites in Lefkada was excellent. The location is stunning, accommodation wonderful with very high standards of service from the hotel team including quality of the food for breakfast which was amazing, attentiveness & friendliness of all the team members who work so hard to make a very memorable holiday. We booked looking for rest and relaxation and cannot speak more highly of this venue.

We have just returned from a holiday at Katouna Suites in Lefkada, a hotel enjoying the most stunning views. This is another excellent and beautifully appointed Simpson adult only hotel, ideal for exploring both the coast and the interior of this very pleasant island, and only a 40-minute drive from Preveza airport. The island boasts a variety of bays and beaches, as well as inland villages, and has lots of very fairly priced tavernas offering delicious Greek cuisine. The team at the hotel is headed up by the bubbly Maria, and nothing is too much trouble for them, or the very helpful concierges, Karen and John. The overall experience is excellent, with very easy access to both the local village of Katouna, with its traditional family taverna, and a 5-minute car ride down the hill to Lygia, with atmospheric waterside tavernas. Well worth a visit.
We had a wonderful few days in the Katouna Suites! So luxurious with amazing views! Karen and John were great and helped with suggestions of where to eat and where to visit combined with a wicked sense of humour! Maria and Panyotta were brilliant at serving breakfast but Maria excelled at canapés with our drinks! Absolutely delicious! Loved our stay in Lefkada and thought the town full of history and amazing restaurants! We will definitely be back to Katouna Suites!
Had a great two weeks at Katouna Suites. The location of the hotel was superb – never tired of that view! Really enjoyed getting to know the island. Took some excellent walks, snorkelled at some lovely beaches and ate some delicious food – what's not to like! Also made a day excursion to the wetland area on the mainland which was really interesting (albeit pretty rustic!) and saw lots of wildlife. Maria and Panyotta and the rest of the staff were great and always available for a chat and provide some advice. Panyotta is definitely the Greek Emma Raducanu and kept the wasps from our table at breakfast with her accomplished backhand with the electric tennis racquet! Many thanks to Karen and John who were very helpful and provided excellent advice and suggestions. All in all, an excellent time.
We stayed at Katouna Suites in early September. The view from these quality suites is truly outstanding. You will never tire of watching the house martin’s taking an early morning dip in the pool while you enjoy breakfast. Our suite on the second floor was spacious with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The lovely Maria, along with the breakfast staff, made sure all our needs were catered for, including our gluten-free dietary restrictions. We were very grateful to Maria who acts as an on-site manager solving problems and booking restaurants and taxis with a cheerful can-do attitude. She is a real asset to Katouna Suites. The Simpson concierge team of Karen and John also added so much to our trip giving us plenty of top tips throughout our stay. We tried many of their recommendations. We also mentioned that we were nervous of driving the mountain roads so arranged for an island tour with the truly inspirational Hazel. Dedicated to sustainable tourism and giving back to the locals, Hazel took us to the forgotten mountain villages navigating the hairraising driving with ease and confidence. We provided a much-needed source of tourist income and learnt so much about Lefkada life from her. We are so grateful to John and Karen for arranging the day for us. It was a highlight of our stay. Katouna Suites is well situated for the very good local taverna within walking distance and other restaurants on the island. We really like Thymari in Lefkada town and Seven Islands for its waterside setting. There is huge potential to do more at Katouna itself. The bar area is a bonus and if a barbecue had been arranged we would have definitely been up for that. As it was we enjoyed the sunbeds during the afternoon and Maria’s impressive canapés with every drink order. I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed with a stay at Katouna and we really connected with this relatively little known island.

This new Simpson hotel has stunning views both from the suites and the pool area. The design is modern and the décor in our suite (Rahi) was open plan which we liked with a small kitchenette area in the middle. The bed was very comfortable and the walk-in shower and bathroom area were of a high quality of fixtures and fittings. Two tavernas within walking distance but car needed to access the beaches. The breakfasts were excellent quality as was the food available at the restaurant. All the staff were excellent. A lovely area and would thoroughly recommend Katouna Suites.
Simpson gave us a wonderful holiday yet again. Katouna Suites were wonderfully designed and excellently situated. But most of all we would like to thank Lindsay Ross who couldn't have been more helpful, and all the very friendly staff. Simpson has to be the best!
Katouna Suites and Lefkada are the perfect chill-out location. Lindsay and the team really looked after us. Waking up to the wonderful views every morning was the perfect start to every day.
Our return flight was affected by the Thomas Cook insolvency. Despite the CAA problems and substantial delay, the Simpson team were terrific and managed to get us home later the same day. Apart from that glitch, Katouna and the team were wonderful and we had a relaxing and enjoyable break. Lindsay, Maria and Stephanie stood out for providing fabulous and welcoming service.
The new Katouna Suites on Lefkada island set the bar even higher for Simpson holidays! Where can we find anything like this next year as we rarely go back? The views are remarkable and the design and luxury of this new property are simply awesome! We had the Lazerata Suite which has a huge balcony with sofas and sun loungers. The breakfasts were delicious and lunchtime and evening meals were very good. The midweek barbecue was excellent fun. Our fellow guests became good friends and we enjoyed the excellent support of Lindsay, Maria and the team. Katouna is a major new addition to the Simpson portfolio and considering how recently opened it is, it flows beautifully and will be a flagship hotel in the years ahead. We challenge the team to find us something as good for September 2020!

This was our first holiday with Simpson Travel, we have since come to realise that they have an excellent reputation and customers constantly book through Simpson year after year. Following our recent experience over a 2-week period, we can easily see why they have built up such a loyal following. Katouna Suites is a brand new hotel which ticked the very high standards and criteria we were looking for. The Simpson representative, Lindsay, looked after us very well, booking many things for us at short notice, nothing seemed too much trouble even if it was her day off. Also the owner and the staff at the hotel were extremely pleasant. I would say the Katouna Suites and the Simpson service together are flawless.
We had a glorious two week holiday at Katouna Suites .Our room was wonderful with a spectacular view and extremely comfortable bed. Lindsay and her team were very friendly, efficient and could not have done more for us. We were able to walk to the two local tavernas where we enjoyed typical Greek food and wine. All in all a very relaxing time.
Having travelled with Simpson for many years, we always know that the standard of accommodation will be superb and yet again, our holiday at Katouna Suites exceeded our expectations. It was superb to have the choice of being able to eat at the hotel in the evenings or wander up to the traditional village of Katouna where there are two excellent tavernas. The pool area is so relaxing that it was hard to tear ourselves away from it. Lindsay was exceptionally helpful and offered us brilliant advice about trips and she could not have done more to assist us during our two weeks. All the staff at the Katouna suites make this new hotel such a special place to stay.
We have just returned from a fantastic week’s holiday at Katouna Suites. The hotel is in a beautiful location with outstanding views of the coast. The room exceeded our expectations. It was very spacious, with a large balcony and had everything we needed. Lindsay, the rep, was very helpful and knowledgeable without being intrusive. At breakfast Maria was always friendly, ready to advise and nothing was too much trouble. Stefania was always attentive and made sure we had everything we needed by the pool and bar. This is an excellent hotel in a perfect location with friendly, helpful staff who helped to make our holiday a very happy, memorable experience. We will certainly be returning to this wonderful hotel.
Katouna Suites was stunning in all respects, spacious rooms and balconies, unforgettable views, welcoming and exemplary service from Lindsay and her team, lovely spa, great pool, and a good sociable mix of people in the week we were there, culminating in a marvellous barbecue on our last evening.

We have had an amazing week at Katouna Suites. The location and rooms are simply stunning but it was the quality of the staff that made our stay exceptional. Every member of the team worked so hard to make our stay memorable, with everyone going the extra mile to ensure that we felt well cared for. We loved the fact that staff had strong infectious personalities, learning our names quickly and greeting us positively every time they saw us. There was a really positive upbeat atmosphere created by the entire team. Nothing was too much trouble, ALL staff anticipated our needs and without fuss put it in place. Food was very special and served with love and the knowledge of the local area and things to do superb. A truly remarkable team and place to stay. Thank you very much, we return feeling pampered, cared for and very relaxed. A truly 5-star experience.
Our two week stay at Katouna Suites was our fourth holiday with Simpson Travel and was the best so far. We loved the relaxed vibe of Lefkada. There was plenty to do on the island if you wanted to or you could do nothing except relax by, and swim in, the beautiful pool. The views from the hotel across the water to mainland Greece were stunning as was the hotel itself. The hotel team were brilliant – all were friendly, efficient, professional and knowledgeable. Two lovely tavernas were a 10-minute walk away, both served great food and we spent several memorable meals there with some of our fellow Katouna guests.
A stunning location and wonderful staff who made us feel so welcome. Lindsay and her team are a credit to Simpson and should be commended for their warm and generous hospitality. The Spa treatments were also amazing!
We have had a lovely relaxing week at Katouna. The room, the view and the breakfasts (and the shower!) have all been fab! Maria and Lindsay have been really friendly and helpful, and we have been lucky to share our week with two other lovely couples. It has been great to recharge batteries, chill by the pool, read books and enjoy time together. This has been our second Simpson holiday and we would recommend them to everyone!
Lindsay and all the team at Katouna Suites were fantastic and the service was seamless. The location is very well chosen – whilst private and with amazing views, it's still an easy walk to the village for excellent traditional food and a great atmosphere. A very relaxing holiday!

Katouna Suites is in a beautiful location with exceptional views. All of the suites are of a very high standard with beautiful and comfortable beds and other furnishings all co-ordinated and modern. The staff are wonderful with a friendly ‘can do’ approach and simply made our holiday extra special. The boutique hotel is tranquil and a place to relax and enjoy all the beauty around you, sitting on the balcony, or in the fabulous pool – the views engulf you. Meeting up with other guests at breakfast and by the bar gave us a chance to share our experiences and enjoy a range of local breakfast options – all great quality and very tasty. Thank you to the lovely Simpson staff and the family owners who made our holiday a real gem of a break – simply stunning!

Katouna Suites was simply breathtaking. The view was so amazing that we did have to pinch ourselves a few times. We rarely went out anywhere because the only place we wanted to be was back at Katouna. I felt so at home here, and this was partly due to the wonderful people who looked after us. I will miss them very much, especially Maria whose smile in the morning made me so happy. It is the perfect place to sit, relax and enjoy. Thank you Simpson for another great holiday....I am ready to book the next one.
The whole experience from start to finish was excellent, The hotel, the staff and the location was faultless. My partner and I got married whilst we were there, and the staff couldn't do enough for us. We found the hotel to have a special energy about it. Can't recommend it enough.
Fantastic holiday experience from arrival at Katouna Suites until departure. The staff were amazing, especially Lindsay – extremely efficient, helpful and has an excellent knowledge of the area. Maria was an excellent start to our day serving breakfast with a huge smile. She was also very understanding of our dietary requirements which was hugely appreciated. All of the staff and owners at Katouna were welcoming and couldn't do enough for us.
A thoroughly enjoyable week that would be difficult to beat. If you are looking for beaches, Amoussa is great for snorkelling and seems to be where locals go. Kathisma Beach is great for turquoise waters and cafés. The Katouna staff have been most attentive and very friendly. All in all, the room, the view, the pool, the staff and everything Katouna Suites and Lefkada has to offer was fantastic.

The views from Katouna Suites are amazing. The location enables a 10-minute walk into a small village with two excellent, authentic, tavernas and is convenient for Lefkada town and trips to the mainland. The hotel is brand new and therefore, immaculate. The family and staff are superb, providing attentive and friendly service. Overall, a terrific place.

A wonderful location with probably the best views that we have experienced in any hotel that we have stayed at. The staff were always friendly and happy to offer any assistance if required on places to visit, etc. They would always try to accommodate any food preferences at breakfast, while even being happy to extend the availability of food into the evening when suggested. Rooms were very spacious and any problems/issues that you might have were sorted immediately. Overall a wonderful holiday on a fabulous island.

We are sure that you will have as wonderful a holiday as we have had in this beautiful spot. For a lovely day trip drive down the coast to Sivota in the south of the island. The Sivota Bakery is a lovely place to have a light lunch and for dinner in the evening, our favourite was Kanoiria restaurant in Lygia – ask Lindsay to reserve you a table on the water’s edge!
We had the most wonderful week. Everything surpassed our expectations. The suites are fabulous, the hospitality of the team is A+++, the food and the wine perfect, Greece is very, very warm.. we would go on and on. Simply, we will be back – it would be madness not to.
