I can highly recommend Simpson Travel. From the point of booking to the end of our holiday, we were well and truly looked after. Having booked two different villas in two different areas everything was seamless. Enough said!

Julie Turnbull, July 2023

The villa was excellent and had everything for a couple holiday. The pool was very good as were the BBQ feature.

Christopher May, September 2022

Booked this holiday in February 2020, and throughout all the disruption caused by the pandemic Simpsons kept us fully informed and offered us a number of options. So impressed that we booked an extra week, finally arriving in August 2022! A Muredda was fantastic (so much so that I don't think the brochure description does it justice) Very well spec'd and equally well kitted out. The outside is great, with a great pool, super seating and dining area, and a very good barbecue. Exceptionally clean and mid stay "refresh" with replacement towels was good. Claire and her team offered a great service, from meeting us at the airport, supplying us some extras we asked for to the welcome pack, booking restaurants, and suggesting places to visit. Simpsons took the hassle out of holiday for us and looked after everything.

Howard Garbutt, July 2022

Corsica and A Muredda certainly did not disappoint. We have had a wonderful two weeks with wall to wall sunshine. So many highlights. Exploring the mountain villages and walking in the breathtaking scenery. The walk to Piscia di Ghjaddu is fabulous. And the beaches – Santa Giulia, Rondinara, Pinarello to name a few with great beach restaurants. We loved exploring Bonifacio and having aperitifs whilst watching the super yachts come in. Great food, great villa, fabulous island. We loved it.

Peter & Amanda, September 2019

A Muredda provided a perfect base. It was in a private rural setting so we relaxed totally by the pool and enjoyed all the comforts provided by this well-appointed villa. It was easy to find, very close to the airport and close to Bonifacio and Porto-Vecchio for days out. Idyllic!

Amber Djemal, August 2019

Our second visit to A Muredda and we enjoyed it just as much as the first. Have not had one bad mean! Drive to Ajaccio was 2.5 hours, visited Napoleon’s house and Filitosa on our return. Bonifacio is a lovely place and the restaurant Cotes de Fruits de Mer was excellent. The trip to Ospedale was wonderful and the 45min walk to the Refuge interesting – wear stout shoes! Everyone has been so friendly and we have thoroughly enjoyed our return visit. Lovely weather, peace and quiet and a restful fortnight. Big thank you to both Anna and Leo (the pool man) for all their help. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we have and we hope to return sometime in the future.

Sue & Chris, June 2019

This was our second visit to this villa. It is still a most delightful place to stay for a tranquil, relaxing and comfortable stay. Anna was very kind in providing an enhanced hamper of goodies we had asked for. We would love to return in the not too distant future for more peace and quiet!

Mr Jones, May 2019

We have had a lovely week here at A Muredda which has gone so quickly but was just what we needed to set us up for the winter! We are seasoned Simpson travellers and the attention to detail and service never fails to amaze. Anne has been lovely, very helpful and been there when we needed her and nothing is too much trouble. We have tried not to do too much as a week goes by so quickly and we needed to relax. We visited Porto Vecchio a couple of times which is lovely and is so so busy but we did go on a rainy day! We also went to Santa Guilia Beach and Rondinara twice. The food at the Ange Beach bar is excellent. Le Relais is lovely, we went twice. Lovely food atmosphere very welcoming. We had a lovely lunch in Bonifacio (can’t remember the name but it was on the marina). Don’t bother with the Spar in Figari, it really was very poor, didn’t even have fresh milk! Go to the Spar in Pianatello or the one just round the roundabout before Porto Vecchio (PV is left at the roundabout, turn right and the Spar is on the left). Such a lovely selection of fruit/veg, meat, fish and basically everything! We have adored the little tabby cat who has visited every day. I’m afraid we have spoilt her so she may be expecting some tuna. Sorry if you aren’t cat people, but she was so sweet and we are total softies, so please be kind to her.

The Martin Family -, September 2018

We’ve had a fabulous two weeks! We really enjoyed our meals at Le Relais and took Anna’s advice to try the pizza. The pool was lovely too. We wish we’d discovered Corsica earlier and have already booked again for next year.

Caroline & David, September 2018

What a lovely villa! Enjoyed a perfect week here, exceptionally hot summer this year, much time spent in the pool. We got up early to beat the crowds at Rondinara beach – a good place for snorkelling, though it was crowded by 11 am. On Anna’s recommendation, we went to Le Relais in Sotta, perfect local restaurant but you definitely have to book considering all the tables were reserved when we arrived. We have to agree with the other guests at A Muredda, the pizza van was indeed delicious and we would definitely recommend. If you are looking to explore a town, we would say Bonifacio is the place to go. We spent a lovely day exploring the old and new town, seeing the fort is well worth the walk and we also loved the boat tours. If you want to go basically anywhere though, you do have to go reasonably early to avoid the heat and the crowds. The local cat was a joy to keep company, and came around the same times every day, and after being fed a bit of salami or tuna, he or she napped under the outdoor table. We dubbed he/she “Ciello” and the name stuck. Last mention to the Corsican locals who have just been nothing short of lovely, understanding and tolerable with our hideous French. Thank you.

Alison & Grace, July 2018

A Muredda and its location are simply stunning, we had such a relaxing week. Having used Simpson Travel many times before to travel to Corsica, then going rogue and trying another company, it made us realise just how good your company is and how guests are made to feel so special. Well done to all.

Mr & Mrs White, July 2018

We have had a fabulous two weeks with great weather and so has the local cat that we fed everyday! The pool was lovely too. We wish we had discovered Corsica earlier and have already booked again for next year.

Caroline & David, September 2017

We have had a very relaxing stay at A Muredda and made great use of the pool during the long sunny days in a quiet location. Zonza and the area around the Col de Bavella are fabulous, with awe-inspiring views. We have had a great two weeks – so relaxing and Corsica is beautiful island – we would love to return at a quieter time of the year.

Janet & Ian, September 2017

We had a wonderful week at our villa in Corsica. It was quiet, peaceful and a relaxing location. We would like to return!

Mrs Quinn, August 2016

Our rep, Muriel, was excellent and the villa was in a lovely setting.

Mrs Nash, May 2016

This is our third visit to South Corsica, lovely island, weather has been superb.

Mr Hand, May 2015

Twenty-fifth wedding anniversary for us and what a way to celebrate – peace, quiet, pool, sunshine, cuckoos, nightingales, fab facilities and excellent lunches out. Thank you so much and especially to Anna, the Simpson Travel rep, who made the holiday feel complete.

Mrs Leverington, May 2015

We have been visiting Corsica since the 1970s so it was the obvious place to return to celebrate for our 40th wedding anniversary. A very relaxing stay.

Mr & Mrs Gann -, July 2014

We very much enjoyed our holiday in Corsica staying at A Muredda. It's a gem of a villa in a rural location, but within easy reach by car of places like Porto Vecchio, Ospedale, Bonifacio and the airport at Figari. The pool was great, and the location lovely – views of the mountains and the Mediterranean breeze carrying the unmistakable scent of the maquis are addictive! Would love to go back.

Dr Hughes, July 2014

We both enjoyed an amazingly relaxed time at A Muredda which is in a truly beautiful and peaceful spot. It's lovely waking up to the sounds of nightingales and cuckoos.

Mr & Mrs Shattock, May 2014

A lovely two-week holiday in a wonderful villa. A great country location, we were regularly visited by the local sheep and goats, a wild boar one evening and a cow on the road near the entrance to A Muredda, together with the red kites flying overhead. Would definitely recommend A Muredda for a relaxing holiday.

Mrs Bush, September 2013

We had an excellent holiday. The accommodation was superb and we were well supported by the Simpson Travel team all the way through. We would definitely choose this company again.

Dr McGuinn, September 2013

A wonderful week in this tranquil, beautiful setting. We so enjoyed our stay in this well-appointed, new villa with a lovely, unspoilt outlook.

Mr Lloyd, August 2013

A lovely relaxing stay in a beautiful villa. Hope to be back again someday soon!

Mr James, July 2013

A lovely new well equipped property in a very peaceful location. Plenty to see and do in the area. If you have not been to Corsica before you are missing a treat!

Mr Cullen, June 2013
