Mehmet has extensive experience of such projects, and has chosen an exceptional site on the sought-after southern coast of the peninsula for his latest property. The views from here are sublime, whether you’re enjoying a drink on the terrace looking out towards the Greek island of Meis, or taking a dip from the private swimming platform just below the villa.

In keeping with these stunning surroundings, Mehmet has chosen natural materials to create a luxurious yet timeless finish that’s appropriate both to the calibre of the villa and to the traditions of the region. The footprint is generous, ensuring spacious and light-filled interiors, with all bedrooms en suite and a glass-fronted living area to maximise those astonishing views. Construction will be completed over the winter of 2023/2024, and pictures will be available in the late spring. Kaş is both charming and a little bohemian, more recognisably Turkish than nearby Kalkan, with narrow streets overhung by Ottoman-style balconies, abundantly draped in colourful bougainvillea. The Old Town is full of fantastic restaurants and tempting shops, all just a ten-minute drive or easy taxi ride away if you prefer to have a glass or two of wine while you’re out. Alternatively, there’s a good hotel restaurant within walking distance nearby. Meis (also called Kastelorizo) is just seven kilometres across the sea, so why not make the most of it and have lunch in Greece and dinner in Turkey!
