From the fabulous hillside location to the 11-metre pool and stunning, light-filled interiors, Villa Maya is everything we love about Kalkan, wrapped up in one perfect package. Occupying a 650m2 plot in a highly sought-after spot, the sheer scale almost stops you in your tracks, but it’s the thoughtful layout and attention to detail that make this place so welcoming for a big group, family gathering or special celebration. Five en-suite bedrooms (two tucked away downstairs for greater privacy), a games room and a generous sea-facing pool terrace make for a relaxed and harmonious holiday, even when the interests and ages are mixed.
The terrace views are mesmerizing even by Kalkan standards, spreading out wide in every direction towards the mountains, olive groves, the Old Town and of course out to sea. It’s the ideal spot for lunch with the family or drinks with friends as the evening sky fades to pink and the lights of Kalkan start to twinkle temptingly below. A brisk 15-minute walk takes you down to Kalkan town or the harbour for boat trips, shopping or a meal at one of the many fusion-inspired restaurants that makes dining out here so special. You don’t need to take a boat to reach sea however, as you’ll find both Yali and Indigo beach clubs within a short stroll of the villa, with the latter offering complimentary entry for Simpson Travel guests. All guests staying in Kalkan are treated to a complimentary Turkish bath (hamam) treatment in the Kalkan Regency hotel's renowned spa and a day trip on the hotel’s traditional gület boat, Poseidon, with lunch and a welcome glass of bubbles included (additional drinks will need to be paid for on board). Tea/coffee and cakes will be served in the afternoon. Please speak to your local representative on arrival to confirm your bookings.
