Turkey’s Turquoise Coast is famous for its spectacular panoramas, and of course, the higher you go, the better the views. Perched on the hill up above Kalkan, Ambar Ev is one of three very appealing new Simpson Travel villas with wonderful views over the old town directly below and out to the islands in the bay.
The outlook is stunning, and perfectly complemented by the architect’s use of natural materials, designed to enhance the glorious situation without impacting too much on the surrounding landscape. Exposed stone walls and unpolished wood feature strongly, lending a warmth and authenticity that is often missing in new buildings. Ambar Ev is the most private and romantic of the three villas here, complete with a balcony off the master bedroom where you can enjoy a secluded nightcap looking down on the lights of the old town. There’s space for a family here too, with the unusual extra benefit of a walled lawn area where little ones can play.
Cosmopolitan Kalkan offers everything you need for a seaside holiday, with beach clubs and boat trips to enjoy, and an impressive range of rather sophisticated restaurants. Your holiday includes a hire car, but to make your arrival as effortless as possible, we also include private transfers from the airport so there’s no need to negotiate the steep local roads on your first day. The lofty position calls for a reasonably confident driver, but the views from the top are unquestionably worth it, and if you like to enjoy a glass or two of wine with dinner, taxis are plentiful and relatively inexpensive.

All guests staying in Kalkan are treated to a complimentary Turkish bath (hamam) treatment in the Kalkan Regency hotel's renowned spa and a day trip on the hotel’s traditional gület boat, Poseidon, with lunch and a welcome glass of bubbles included (additional drinks will need to be paid for on board). Tea/coffee and cakes will be served in the afternoon. Please speak to your local representative on arrival to confirm your bookings.
