Days drift in slow blue and bottle green hues, formless warm and sleepy, punctuated with the dark excitement of nights, that spread like a velvet blanket over the promise of the next day. We’ve had a brilliant week here – our first visit to Meganissi, but it definitely won’t be our last! The villa was perfect – well equipped and ideal for our family. We’ve spent most of the week relaxing and recharging, but our highlight was the day boat hire which Laura helped us arrange. We got to see all of Meganissi’s beautiful coastline, stopped several times to swim and for lunch at a beachside taverna. Thank you Laura, Simpson and Meganissi for a fantastic holiday!

As promised, we have come back to Taphian and it hasn’t disappointed us! The weather has been a little unsettled, but the temperatures have been comfortable with enough sunshine to top up the tans! Once again the support from Simpson has been excellent. Laura has been very attentive and responded immediately to the few demands we made on her. We will miss her smile. So it has been a very relaxing break during which we feel we have made friends in the places where we have eaten and we will be sorry to say goodbye.

We had a lovely relaxing week on the island with plenty to see and do. The walks around the island are lovely and worth doing if you like walking, of course! There is a little beach at Limonari and a lovely café run by a Greek couple. We had the best Greek salad with views to match! Vathy offers a relaxing vibe with a bit of chic thrown in.

Loved our week here - all very relaxing! The villa was just perfect for our family of four. Our favourites were Fanari Beach and the little cocktail bar in Vathy Harbour. So much to love on this beautiful island!

Lovely accommodation in a great location - only 10 minutes walk into Vathy for the numerous supermarkets, tavernas and bars. Mind you a little steep on the way back up the hill! Was good to have use of the car to explore a little more of the island and the beaches. The outside area was great - lots of different options for sitting in the shade and sun (comfy seating, chairs outside door, sunbeds and dining table!).

Our third year travelling with Simpsons and our first on Meganisi. Lovely villa and Maria couldn't have been more helpful organising trips and booking restaurants for us. We had breakfast delivered to us on our first morning - amazing and well worth it! Maria booked us a skippered boat trip which was a fabulous day out - lots of swimming and a fantastic lunch. We also visited Fanari Beach - would advise getting there before lunchtime as parking is tight! Only 5-10 minutes' drive from the villa, lovely beach with loungers and parasols. Multiple beach cafes serving great food. We are moving on for our second week to Lefkada, all appears seamlessly organised by Simpsons as per usual. Meganisi is beautiful, we would definitely come back.

Our third year with Simpson Travel in this beautiful island. Plenty to do if you want to. All restaurants in Vathy are excellent and Vathy is the prettiest of Greek islands. Villa Taphian was super. The first thing to do on returning home is to rebook for next year. Simpson service is second to none!

We have had the most fantastic week here. The villa has all you need so if you’re chilled you could have a very relaxed week. We’ve been to all the recommended beaches and none are terribly far as the island is small. You could be in the Caribbean rather than on a Greek isle. We end our week at this lovely villa feeling replenished, full of lovely memories, looking out at the amazing views all around us. And to think we arrived stressed out from working so hard and I thought there wouldn’t be enough to do! It’s very beautiful and we are so glad we came to experience a more laid-back island.

We would like to add that our concierge Rania was exceptionally helpful, professional, and friendly. She even helped us with a local water supply problem, on her day off. We felt truly looked after by her and by all the Simpsons team (throughout the pandemic) which enhanced our wonderful holiday experience.Anne and Clive Williams, 2022 Once again we have had a wonderful holiday with Simpson. Rania in Meganissi and David/Steph in Syvota were really brilliant - we’ve never had cause to contact reps before but this time we did. In Syvota we had a minor issue with a pipe outside and it was sorted super fast. David came to check in on us to make sure everything was OK, he gave us some super recommendations. Simpson really are the best and I wouldn’t think of using anyone else for summer holidays.

Where to start? UK – all the contacts, especially Holly and Anna, were all excellent and could not do enough! At the airport Tina and staff were also excellent! In Meganissi Rebecca was brilliant and again could not do enough. We were recommended to Simpson Travel by our Finance Agent and we are really glad we looked. Lovely relaxing week in Villa Taphian. Travelled to most places including Spartachori and Katomeri. Enjoyed our meals at Stavros, Erikkos and O Pasas, but we also had a few good barbecues at home with meal from Knife & Cleaver. We recommend the boat trip to Kalamos and Kostas (all day trip). We really enjoyed stopping off at the quiet bays for a swim off the boat. Rebecca has been fantastic. Helping with any problem we had. Many thanks to Simpson Travel for a wonderful week.

We have had the most relaxing two weeks. The villa was perfect with amazing views. We rented a small boat and drove around all the bays jumping in and out of the boat. We enjoyed lots of meals at the Rose Garden, Hector and Effie are brilliant. Their supermarket next to the restaurant was really good as well. Rebecca is outstanding – helped us sort out a medical emergency, luckily not serious in the end. We hope those who come in the future have as much fun as we did on Meganissi – we don’t want to go back to the rain in Scotland!

Villa Taphian has been a superb and is a very comfortable base for a most relaxing holiday. It has been our third visit to Meganissi and its charm will no doubt entice us back again. This time we particularly enjoyed exploring the island on our hired e–bikes which make cycling up the steep inclines effortless. We cannot praise Rebecca enough in ensuring that we enjoyed our holiday and helping us with our queries. Limonari beach is our favourite but Fanari beach is a close second. Thank you Simpson Travel.

After a relaxing week in Villa Taphian our only complaint is that wasn’t two weeks. We enjoyed watching the boats from Spilia beach as well as snorkelling at Fanari. Erikkos and Tilevoes were our favourites in Vathy for dinner, but it’s worth a stroll around to the Marina for a cocktail with a harbour view and Pistrina for a friendly coffee.

Just spent a fabulous two weeks at Villa Taphian which is a perfect spot to discover Meganissi. Rebecca is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the island and organised everything we wanted. The speed boat (Tilevoes!) was the best. We took it round the whole island and had lots of fun. Fab restaurants – Stavros and his sons will make you feel very welcome. Also Tilevoes for something a bit different. Fanari beach is also a must – great beach bar. Thank you for a fab holiday.

We’ve had a wonderful relaxing week on Meganissi – beautiful villa, stunning views and crystal clear waters. We enjoyed eating at Erikkos and Tilevoes (beautiful spot to watch the sunsets). Another excellent holiday with Simpson Travel. As usual all arrangements were seamless, and the introduction of the BA flights from Heathrow last year have made a huge difference. Meganissi was a beautiful, unspoiled island and the Simpson Travel rep, Rebecca, was extremely helpful. The standard of villa was good and had the added attraction of just being over a five-minute walk down to the bars and tavernas in the evening in Vathy.
