  • Sivota harbour 10min walk

Situated on the edge of Sivota village, very close to the peaceful bay of Karvouno, Villa Amalia is one of a pair of innovative contemporary villas just 150m from a sandy beach. The house is light and bright, with fully retractable glass doors that open onto the terrace and a generously-sized private pool. All floors have a balcony or access to terraces, and with an additional living area and kitchenette on the lower floor, this villa is an excellent choice for a couple or a family with older children, who might also enjoy the freedom of being able to wander down to the beach bar and restaurant close by.

This is the perfect location for a lazy holiday for those who don’t wish to drive: just a 10-minute stroll into Sivota, with its pretty harbour and numerous tavernas, cafés and bars whilst groceries can be delivered from the local supermarket. Some excellent excursions can be taken – from a tour of the ancient world heritage sights in Albania to a private yacht for the day around Paxos and Anti Paxos.

Villa Amalia is entirely separate from neighbouring Villa Loukas, and screened by hedges for privacy, though both properties may also be combined to offer a spacious solution for two families or a group of friends.

Lovely view of the bay below from the villa. Easy walk into Sivota, but some might find the return slightly more challenging as road is quite steep. Villa Amalia was well located to access Zagoria, which was a highlight of our week, great walks, beautiful scenery and well worth the drive. Another great experience was hiring a RIB with (very competent) skipper to take us to Paxos and Antipaxos - a very enjoyable day.

Mrs Mary Black, September 2023

What a great week. Thanks to Herm, who was welcoming, very helpful and always available. We recommend Lush – a wine bar and deli on a side street leading to the harbour, very different to anything else in Sivota. High quality wines, great charcuterie, and a very generous proprietor. All the beaches are lovely, but Stavrolimenas was our favourite.

Rob & Alison, August 2023

What a great week! Beautiful weather, nice pool and villa, convenient to walk into town. We have all enjoyed it very much. For food we really like Blue Coast and for very traditional Greek food, Ostria was great. A trip to Perdika to see the sunset is a good thing to do, stunning. This is not our first visit to Sivota and it won’t be the last.

Julie, Chris, Karen & Mike, July 2023

We have had a fabulous week. Thank you to Herm who has looked after us so well!

The Kershaw family, July 2023

We had a wonderful week in a beautiful villa set in a lovely location. The surrounding area was full of interesting places readily accessible by car. Access to the shops and restaurants was quick and reasonably easy. We will be very tempted to book again in the future. All the Simpson staff, but especially David, were excellent offering the right level of information and advice without being 'over the top'.

Mr Brown, October 2022

Perfect time of year as very quiet on the beaches and restaurants. Villa was perfect for our stay, we loved it here.

The Burridges, October 2022

Villa Amalia is a beautiful villa in a quiet location, close to two lovely beaches and the port of Sivota. We enjoyed a wonderful holiday there.

Jeanette Buffey, August 2022

We have loved everything about Villa Amalia and Sivota. The boat trips, the restaurants, the stunning sunsets and the wonderful hospitality. We are so sad to be leaving but I am sure we will come back to this wonderful corner of paradise.

Kirsten, Alex, Megan and Claudia, July 2022

A great couple of weeks and packed a lot in including two trips to Zagoria and Vikos – highly recommended, particularly the bridges around Kip and the view of the gorge near Vardeto (Jana’s wealth of knowledge of the area). Also took ferry to Corfu Town from Igoumenitsa. Day trip to Albania was fascinating – thanks to Stuart for organising. Loved the Coral beach but our favourite was Kararostasi (near Perdika) – a bit more of a drive but well worth it for a long wide beach and very relaxed and laid back. Favourite restaurant was the taverna opposite the bigger supermarket – unpretentious and great food. Villa location and pool was fantastic even if the layout was a bit odd! Overall fantastic.

Simon & Eugene, September 2019

Fantastic week at Villa Amalia. Best food by far at Ostria but avoid busy periods as service suffers when busy. Blue Coast came a close second. Trip to Parga an absolute must, view from castle absolutely stunning. Recommend lunch at Stefanos Taverna with a fabulous view just next to the castle entrance. Hired a boat at the bottom of the hill for half a day – well worth the experience. Visited several of the local beaches but found the beach at the bottom of the hill as good as any and within walking distance.

Time, Kay & Alison, September 2019

Lovely villa and great pool. The day trip to Meteora was well worth it, spectacular and very good value, and informative. Jana and Stuart were very helpful and their local knowledge was invaluable. Karavados beach was very nice – within walking distance.

Geoff & Lisa, June 2019

Another wonderful holiday experience with Simpson Travel. We feel reassured that everything will be of a high standard. Sivota Senses – Villa Amalia certainly lived up to our expectations. Many thanks to all involved who made our holiday fabulous.

Mrs Lyons, September 2018

What a great villa Amalia is. We had a fantastic few days there and are grateful to Rania and Chris, the Simpson Travel representatives, for their help and advice regarding restaurants and places to visit. We hope to return.

Karen & Alastair, September 2018

Villa Amalia was lovely, well equipped and comfortable. The location was perfect for us with easy access to both the beach (great service and sunbeds, fab food and service in the restaurant) and the town with its laidback tavernas and night life. We enjoyed some lazy days and snorkelling at sea and relaxing days on the beach and by the pool. The organisation by Simpson Travel, the ease of travel, the wonderful location and the quality of the accommodation was second to none and really made it a great holiday for all of us. Thank you.

Mrs Jeffrey, July 2017

We had a very pleasant stay and we were well looked after by Simpson Travel. The beach below the villa is nice with very safe bathing, only five minutes walk. We also liked Mikri Ammos beach – about a 5-minute drive. There are some good restaurants in town – about a 10-minute walk from the villa.

Mrs Hughes, June 2015

Simpson Travel never fails to disappoint. We booked our wedding/holiday/honeymoon to Paxos in 2013 through Simpson Travel and our consultant was Zoe Bowyer. It was the trip of a lifetime and exactly what we wished for so booking our next holiday I had every faith that our expectations would be met. We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Villa Amalia in Sivota, perfect location for us although we were trying to avoid a London flight and stay over as we live in close proximity to Glasgow and Edinburgh airports however...it just meant our holiday started even earlier and a stay over in London was not such a bad start after all. Our stay over in London was spot on, our flights to Corfu were on time, we were met by the ever so friendly and welcoming Corfu representatives for Simpson Travel making the transfer easy. We were transferred straight to the port, the boat left soon after and again met by the lovely representatives at our final destination. We were provided with everything we needed and the whole trip was hassle free with everything taken care of. It's always a bit daunting driving in a foreign country with little knowledge of the roads and of course road traffic rules, we got the impression there are not many but the car journey to Sivota from the port was breathtaking with sea and mountain views along the way not the mention the wonderful view of Corfu, Paxos and Anti Paxos. When we arrived at Villa Amalia, it was everything and more of what we were expecting, fully equipped to meet our every need, very spacious for the two of us and the view of the sea and little islands was just perfect. Our arrival time at our villa couldn't have been planned any better as it gave me the chance to unpack and we had enough time to explore our surroundings. With a beach at our doorstep and the restaurants and bars within walking distance Sivota was the ideal location for us. We soon got into a daily routine of enjoying the house and poolside, a daily swim in the sea down at the beach to burn off the previous nights cocktails, a spot of sunbathing or a trip out on a boat to explore the islands and then dinner and drinks in the evening. The villa was very well taken care of by the cleaner who visited the property more often than we were expecting, the villa was spotlessly clean and the grounds and pool were proudly looked after by the villa owner, it was a pleasure to stay in for the two weeks that we were there. We were also extremely well looked after by Rado and Klaudia, nothing was too much of a problem to them, they were welcoming and made our stay extremely pleasant... Our trip home was again hassle free with a glimpse of Mr. Simpson himself who was on our flight to Heathrow – I just wish I had the chance to thank him for yet again another wonderful holiday...he was standing right next to me at Passport Control... So all in all thank you Simpson Travel!
