Location is always a key factor when choosing our properties and Monodendri is one of the most beautiful beaches on Paxos. The majority of our clients also prefer ‘a room with a view’ and 400-metres of white pebbles backed by cypress trees and lapped by crystalline turquoise water fits the bill very nicely indeed.
In spring and autumn, it's a haven for those who prefer a relaxing sojourn with a scattering of like-minded visitors either scattered along the beach or sampling the fresh fish at one of the two waterside tavernas. In the height of summer, late July and August, a different clientele arrive: families with teenage children, young couples and those who enjoy a slightly faster pace, bringing a more upbeat feel and vibrant atmosphere.
Monodendri Blue is a spacious and contemporary villa with stunning views over this glorious spot. The beach is a mere five-minute stroll down a meandering lane that finishes at Monodendri (longer on the uphill journey back). In the afternoon on hot August days, music can be heard wafting up from the beach, but by late afternoon most sunworshippers have departed and you'll have time to enjoy a quiet cocktail in one of the two tavernas before they close before dinner.
Whilst maintaining its own independence and privacy, Mondendri Blue can be rented along with Thanelli and Villa Heleni to provide a spacious venue for an extended family gathering or a group of friends.

Transfers
- Corfu airport to Corfu port is either by taxi, minibus or bus 10min
- Waiting time at Corfu port is usually between 1hr to 2hrs at the port café where there is an area to store luggage
- Corfu port to Paxos port is by hydrofoil, sea taxi or ferry and depending on the mode of transport the journey will take between 1hr 10mins to 2hrs 15mins

We had the perfect honeymoon at Monodendri Blue! The villa was immaculate and the photos really do not do the view justice, there's nothing quite like watching the sun rise over the mainland. Chris, the local concierge was fantastic - went out of his way to make sure we had the perfect trip. Cannot fault the service of the Simpson team.
So lovely to be back on Paxos. As usual, Simpson have taken excellent care of us and the beauty and peace of this beautiful island have worked their magic.

We have travelled with Simpson for 10 years visiting destinations from Meganisi to Majorca and have to say that Monodendri Blue on Paxos was definitely our favourite villa yet. The combination of layout, location and view made for a truly memorable holiday.

This was our first time booking with Simpson Travel and our first visit to a Greek island. Paxos turned out to be everything I thought it would be and more. Excellent service from all the Simpson team made the travelling far less stressful. The villa was lovely and we were very happy to relax by the pool most days looking out at the stunning views to the mainland.
First time visiting Paxos and we fell in love with both Monodendri Blue and Paxos itself. Our top highlight was an idyllic day spent at Vrika Bay in Anti Paxos, where we had the luxury of having the beach almost to ourselves and could enjoy its incredible beauty in peace away from the crowds of high season. The tavernas were closed so we had to take our own picnic, but it was all part of the fun – an unforgettable day. Another highlight was watching the sunset at Erimitis – one of the most spectacular sights on the island. Our Simpson Rep, Julie, was incredibly kind and helpful from day one, giving us good advice on how to get the best out of Paxos. Her help was invaluable. We love Monodendri Blue and much enjoyed the time spent ‘at home’ enjoying the spectacular views and pool. We can highly recommend Vasilis in Loggos, where we spent three wonderful evenings and when cold, I was offered the owner’s shawl to keep warm until the end of the evening. We also loved Aki’s restaurant in Lakka – an unparalleled position with the waves lapping just below us – with great food and wine as well. If it is your first visit we highly recommend you ask for a copy of ‘Poppy’s map’, a beautiful hand drawn map annotated with tips and advice put together by an islander now at university in the UK (her father is Captain Nikos of the sea taxi!). Navigating with more than one map seemed essential and Poppy’s map brought it all to life. Thank you, Simpson Travel for everything!
First of all I would recommend speaking with your Simpson Travel rep – we had David and he was amazing. We have been to the island off and on for 20 years and he was able to update us on the seasonal changes. More than that he went out of his way to finding out how to wish our party member a happy birthday and anniversary wishes in Welsh. It was all an excellent touch. He also pointed out walks to enjoy. The villa continued to maintain Simpson Travel's high standard. A particularly nice feature is the pocket doors – which included security shutters and screen doors. They are great for keeping bugs out. The filtered water and ice cube feature was very helpful and saved us multiple purchases of bottled water – hugely convenient for afternoon beverage making.
As returning Simpson travellers for the third time, we are never disappointed. The level of service, accommodation and general organisation is second to none. From start to finish the Simpson Travel experience is a delight. The only thing to overcome is the depression we feel on returning home. However this is easily solved by immediately booking next year's trip with them once again. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.
A very lovely week at Monodendri Blue. The weather has been fabulous which has meant we have not been very adventurous, being happy to wander down to the beach or sit by the pool. All of the Simpson Travel reps have been incredibly friendly and helpful – a huge thank you to Julie, Frances and Steph.
As always with Simpson Travel, they think of everything in order to make the journey there and back as smooth and painless as possible, the villa looks exactly like it did in the picture and the knowledge and reassurance of the local rep takes away any possible 'stresses' throughout the holiday.
Monodendri Blue is a brilliant choice for couples. The location is central for all three villages and the major beaches. The vast terrace and excellent infinity pool make one think twice about leaving the villa at all even though beach bars and charming beaches are available in profusion.
