What a delightful surprise to discover this stylishly contemporary villa on sleepy Meganissi, an island better known for its traditional architecture and serene natural beauty. Yet somehow the house looks completely at home in these surroundings, built over three floors to maximise the sweeping sea, mountain and countryside views.
The pool is generously sized for a private villa, but should you prefer a dip in the unbelievably blue Ionian Sea, there is direct access to the water just 50m from the villa via some steps. There is nothing around to disturb the peace and majesty of this spot, but for a change of scene, the beach and the tiny port of Spilia are 500m and 1,500m away respectively.
Mimosa shares this magnificent position with Saffron. Both properties are independent of one another and each maintains its own privacy, but they may be rented together for a larger party if required.

We have spent a fabulous week – even the dramatic thunderstorms! We hired a boat and sailed around this beautiful island – a perfect day to finish our spectacular time here. Big thanks to Simpson Travel, Maria and the wonderful Sophia for her kindness and attention during our stay.
We cannot fault the travel arrangements or the quality of the accommodation in any way. The staff, both handling the initial booking and at the destination, were excellent. The villa - Mimosa - was extremely good and the owner was very helpful. The quality of the Welcome Pack was unbelievably good.
Our third visit to Mimosa. We love it here! Apart from just chilling at the house and enjoying the spectacular views, we often went to the beach. We also liked to go to the local beach in the late afternoon for a cocktail and watch the ferries going past. What an amazing week we’ve had. Meganissi is the most beautiful island and we have loved exploring it and will most certainly return in the future. Villa Mimosa is so incredible – a phenomenal location with amazing views and so peaceful with a real ‘away from it all’ feel. Thank you for the fantastic welcome hamper – it was exactly what we needed when we arrived tired and hungry after a long day of travel. This has been a wonderful place to stay for our first visit to Meganissi. Everything in Mimosa has been so carefully prepared and many thanks to Sophia and Thanassis for their kind welcome, well-stocked fridge and gift later in the week. We have especially enjoyed watching all the boats go by. We took the ferry over to Nidri in Lefkada so the children could go sailing in Vasiliki, while we explored the waterfalls above Nidri. A perfect week of swimming, relaxing, exploring and enjoying this delightful island. We are all sorry to be leaving so soon and are already planning a return visit just as soon as we can.
Mimosa is a beautifully designed villa in well kept grounds. So quiet and peaceful with amazing views across the sea from every room. A short walk down the winding drive to the sea where steps allow easy access to clear water for snorkelling. Other beaches with beach bar or excellent Taverna also near enough to walk to. A perfect place to relax in.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable week staying at Villa Mimosa on Meganissi. It was very relaxing enjoying the wonderful pool and scenery from the villa. We took a boat out exploring the beautiful island beaches and enjoyed dining at various restaurants in Vathy most nights. Any queries we had Rania was on hand to help. Thank you.
We had a fabulous family holiday. The island is a jewel, sparkling and precious. It should be taken out of the brochures and kept a secret!! The people of the island are the friendliest we’ve experienced. Our concierge helped us on numerous occasions. We will return.
I would recommend Mimosa villa for those who want peace and tranquility. The hosts were both welcoming and helpful. Our transfers to and from the airport and the villa were timely Nothing was too much trouble for the concierge Rania and the boat taxi driver. We would definitely go with Simpson Travel again.
We waited a long time for our big retirement holiday to Greece thanks to Covid but boy was it worth the wait as it more than met our expectations. Mimosa and Callista are beautiful villas with stunning views and full of luxury touches. Rania was a great host at Mimosa, nothing was too much trouble, and was always available to talk to or to visit and she went above and beyond by arranging for Ioannis to escort us to our second villa at Callista. Ioannis was very personable too and gave us the most perfect driving instructions from Callista to the airport. We found it first time ! I'd also like to thank Sofia the owner of Mimosa who was very nice , greeted us on arrival and gave us good tips for eating out in Meganisi. Where Simpson Travel get it so right is the end to end support you give, we felt looked after all the way from pre-departure to getting us safely back home. We loved Meganisi and hope we can come back again next year.
We have just returned from the most wonderful family holiday on Meganissi. This is the second time we have booked a family holiday with Simpson and have been so impressed both times. They make the whole experience of holidaying with young children effortless – the booking process, transfers, family extras even down to food being provided on arrival. The local representatives, in this case Rania and Rebecca, bent over backwards to ensure we could make the most of our family week away. Their local expertise and help was unparalleled. The owners of the villa Mimosa we stayed in were always on hand to help and could not have been more welcoming. The villa was beautiful, had every amenity we could desire and was in a great location. We will definitely be visiting Meganissi again – an undiscovered gem for sure!
We were really impressed by Simpson’s customer service and professionalism. The pre-departure process was flawlessly efficient, and the logistics of our trip were really well organised and glitch free. The local concierge, Rania, was the star of our holiday – endlessly helpful, including offering to deliver food to us during the Mediterranean hurricane we experienced during our trip. The owners/hosts of Mimosa were wonderful, charming, engaging and were beyond anything that we could have expected. There is not one thing we would change and can't wait to get back there. The villa, the island, the people...if there is a heaven, it would be damn close to this place.

We stumbled across the Island of Meganissi and travelled there without prior knowledge! What a fantastic surprise! Beautiful island without crowds, great restaurants where you always get a table without a reservation, small secluded beaches where at times you are the only people on them. If you want a holiday without the crowds, then Meganissi is the place to go.

We had a wonderful week at Mimosa which is set in lovely quiet surroundings with the most stunning outlook across the sea to the beautiful hills of Lefkada. It was very relaxing holiday spent by the gorgeous infinity pool and using the car to explore various beaches around Meganissi. Our first visit to Meganissi and to Mimosa. Both the Island and the villa were a delight. Even though our flight arrived late, there was a taxi on standby to take us to the port where a sea taxi was standing by for the final leg of the journey making for a very easy transfer. The villa itself is ideally located and in a very peaceful setting. Both the owner and the housekeeper were attentive and the local representative was very knowledgeable and helpful about the Island. Certainly a villa to consider a return visit to.
