Mirabello Bay House is an outstanding addition to the Simpson portfolio, enjoying an exceptional seafront position between the fashionable towns of Agios Nikolaos and Elounda. The house was truly beautiful, and in a fantastic setting. Our concierge, Irini, was warm and friendly and really helpful. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
Well we might have been happy with a cottage, but this was a Royal Palace by comparison with enough food in it to last us a fortnight. We quickly sorted our holiday into alternate days, one to travel to places and one to rest in the stunning setting by the sea. On our first day we visited Agios Nikolaus to find our bearings. Then a rest day. Next we drove over mountain roads to Mochlos. To my delight on the way back we saw snow patches on the highest mountains which made me feel quite at home. On the way there we stopped at a Minoan settlement. Astonishing, I believe they developed 3 separated ways of writing. On Sunday we returned to the 'big city' expecting it to be quiet. In fact the opposite was the case - it was rocking and rolling. The museum taught us so much about the Minoan way of life. They were very informative and welcoming. So grateful thanks for it all. It was exactly what we needed.
