The Loft sits on the top floor of a restored village house in a narrow side street, in a slightly elevated position above the town. A steep staircase leads you to the apartment, which is laid out studio-style and entirely open-plan to create a spacious yet cosy-feeling nest for two. You can choose your sitting-out spot depending on the time of day, with a shaded balcony to the front and a larger, open one to the rear, with lovely views out over the roof-tops of Agios Nikitas and down to the beach lapped by turquoise sea.
Agios Nikitas is a car-free seaside village that hugs the contours of a beautiful bay. The main street winds down to the sea and is lined with tavernas, cafés and little shops to fulfil all your holiday needs from sunscreen to Lefkada’s signature thyme honey. The beach here is beautiful, and if you feel like a bit of a seaside safari, you can easily get to other island favourites including Kathisma and Milos, either by car or boat transfer directly from the waterfront.
