A seamless travel experience. Our flight was diverted due to poor weather, which meant we were very late arriving in Kefalonia and had missed the ferry across to Ithaca. Judith, our travel rep, had organised an overnight stay with a taxi to deliver us to the hotel. We were collected by taxi the next morning and taken to catch the first ferry across. The accommodation on Ithaca was lovely and Judith was on hand with helpful advice if we needed her. We had a later flight on return and Judith organised a lovely afternoon stay at a hotel near the airport where we could relax and have a meal. Again, taxis were booked for us and they arrived on time and delivered us to the correct place. Thank you Simpson Travel for a very relaxing holiday.

We had booked a return trip to Kyparissi Suites in delightful Kioni, Ithaca. Unfortunately for us, we were quite late in the season and the weather was variable, to say the least! It affected our outward flight and sea transfer, but the local reps were great at (re)organising the transfers. The accommodation and position in the lovely village is great, despite 3 days of downpours. Unfortunately, our return flight was delayed, then cancelled; nothing that Simpson's could help, and nothing to do with the weather. However, their team rose to the occasion and were superb at keeping us informed to the best of their ability and they impressed other people affected by the cancelled flight who were not Simpson customers.

Ithaca is an unspoilt island with historic resonance and plenty of gorgeous coves and pebbled beaches as well as some excellent restaurants in - and away from - the popular port of Kioni. The island is easy to explore by car - and by boat. But probably best if all is stepping into its peaceful rhythms where you can simply sleep - swim - read - rest - be - eat - and repeat.

We booked Simpsons as we wanted a quiet break away from the usual maddening crowds and children you expect at large hotels or even the new boutique type offerings. Ithaca delivered on that, even in the height of summer; our rep on the ground, Judith was excellent and the end-to-end door to villa journey was made seamless; it's those little things that get a holiday off to a good start; she made recommendations on restaurants and made the reservations on our behalf; the food was excellent, right up there with michelin star quality at a fraction of London prices. The villa had spectacular views of the bay and village of Kioni, within a short stroll of the hustle and bustle of the harbour. Taking a boat out to find secluded coves, we would recommend; we will definitely have you on our short list for next year.

This was our second year at Kyparissi Suites and we have just returned home and booked for next year again. We love the simple but chic design, the spectacular views, the sunlight flooding in from both sides of the house and being able to walk down for a morning swim and coffee in the village of Kioni. It feels like a small corner of paradise. Plenty to explore, including some excellent restaurants in the northern hinterland of Ithaca, or just stay put and enjoy Cemetery beach and its Kantina every day! Added to this Judith Levi, who could not be a more helpful and kind ST representative, and Calli, the very hospitable host at Kyparissi, makes for an unbeatable holiday in our eyes. As I write this, I feel like I am giving away a beautiful secret. If you like the unspoilt simple life, Ithaca is for you. If you are looking for a more glossy version of a Greek island, try another Simpson Travel delight elsewhere - there is so much to choose from and the Simpson Travel service is second to none.

Kyparissi is in a beautiful location overlooking Kioni harbour. The accommodation is first class for those wanting a comfortable quiet time away. We loved the Kyparissi Suites, Kioni and Ithaca. The suites are in an elevated position overlooking the bay with what must be one of the best views of Kioni with balconies perfect for watching the sunrise. They are very clean with comfortable beds and powerful showers. Calli, the manager is a lovely, helpful lady with bags of local knowledge (thank you for the rescue mission for a spare cafetiere, Calli!). We walked the few steps into Kioni most evenings where there are a handful of good restaurants and bars. Our welcome talk with Judith the Simpson rep, was very entertaining and packed full of useful knowledge. We followed Judith's recommendation for a drive to the mountain village of Anoghi to see the wonderful Byzantine Church with frescoes and mystical standing stone and to the lovely restaurants with amazing views. As usual, Simpson handled booking and communication impeccably - although a request please, Simpson - please can you obtain some more 3 bedroomed villas near Kioni so all our family can visit too!!

Sometimes after a Simpson Travel Holiday you just want to keep it a secret because part of the attraction is that the best of what they offer is slightly off the beaten tourist track and as a customer, you hope it will stay that way. We had a wonderful week at the Kyparissi Suites in Kioni in the north east of Ithaca. Time stands still beneath cobalt blue skies in this quiet little port / village. Traditional tavernas serve delicious food and there is plenty to explore further afield in the island, if you can bear to leave Kioni. We particularly enjoyed breakfasts in Stavros village and evening drinks by the sea at Frikes. But to walk down the steps beyond the village of Kioni and dip into the glittering turquoise sea below is unbeatable.

Firstly, going to Ithaca is a historical journey to the land of the original Greek traveler Odysseus. The town of Kioni is the most quaint of by far the majority of villages in the Ionian sea. So the stage is set for an extraordinary and unique vacation. The sea is beautiful the water is clean and you are can relax and enjoy every moment. The Kyparissia apartment's have a wonderfully welcoming feel. From the minute you walk into them you feel at home. They are spacious, simply but beautifully decorated, and have wonderful views. The furniture is comfortable as are the beds and importantly the area is quiet and you can rest at your leisure. You can sit on the balcony sip your gin or wine, read your book and watch all the yachts trying to jostle for space in the harbour all at the same time. Walking to the grocery store, to dinner or for a drink is just a stones throw away. At around 10:20 every day the baker stops his van outside and you can by fresh bread and pastries right outside your door. (you have to listen to his horn). All i can say is that the Kyparissia apartment's in Kioni Ithaca are worth the visit. We stayed for three weeks and enjoyed every second. A vacation worth repeating annually.

We had a wonderful week in Ithaca staying at the Kyparissi Suites which had the most amazing views of the port and out to sea. We had a great time watching the yachts, large and small sailing in and out of the harbour from our balcony. Kioni harbour is beautiful with several excellent tavernas and bars surrounding it, we had great food in all them and lovely evenings sitting by the yachts and looking out across the harbour. There are a couple of beaches about ten minutes walk away, one with a lovely beach taverna which was great for lunch and sitting looking out across the Ionian sea. We have had several excellent holidays with Simpson and this one was as good as any of them! We would definitely recommend staying at Kyparissi Suites.
