Kalkan has no shortage of statement villas, but couple-sized properties are a little more elusive, especially if you you’re looking for a pool and privacy too. Step forward Villa Sun, a sweet one-bedroom hideaway with sweeping views across the whole of Kalkan bay.
One of three beautiful White Collection properties, Villa Sun is appealingly private, whether you’re dining by the pool or enjoying a lie-in and stunning views from the galleried master bedroom. Floor-to-ceiling glass floods the interiors with brilliant southern light, whilst outside you’ll find both sun and shade in garden and on the pool terrace. Cleverly adapting to the hillside space, the infinity pool extends into the villa itself, so you can step straight from your morning shower into the immaculate blue, with uninterrupted views across the bay beyond.
Kalkan is famous for both its beach clubs and its excellent restaurants, and at Villa Sun you’re well placed to take full advantage of both. If you prefer to stay very local, directly below your villa you'll find the Mahal Beach Club, with a bar, restaurant, sunbathing terraces and many different water sports options. A hire car is included for your holiday, but for those who prefer not to drive, it’s just a 20-minute walk to the shops, restaurants, cafes and bars of Kalkan. And if the walk back feels like too much of an effort, taxis are reasonable and plentiful.

What a rare find - a villa for two. It is compact but has everything you could need. We had a really lovely stay at Villa Sun. The location is excellent - a short distance into Kalkan town centre but on a very quiet street with a wonderful view of the bay and the sunset. There are a few restaurants within walking distance (The Castle and Villa Mahal, both very good) but the little kitchen is well equipped if you don't fancy going out. Kay (our rep) was extremely helpful and always answered quickly. The airport welcome and car hire handover were very efficient as always. The mezze pack in the fridge was a really nice touch and the other food items supplied were generous - no need to do any shopping on the first day, which is really great. Thank you for a great holiday.
This was our first holiday with Simpson Travel and we shall definitely book with them again. The one bedroom villa was bijou but perfect for two people. The pool and new outdoor daybed were fabulous. The views from the villa were some of the best we have ever enjoyed. The starter pack did lunch for almost the whole week! All in all a wonderful holiday.
My initial contact with Simpson was extremely friendly and informative and in no way forcing a sale on me. The pre flight info and assistance was very good and this continued when we arrived in Kalkan. Kay (our rep) was very friendly and visited us at the villa on our first full day. We discussed many topics and she managed to book us our trips when we wanted them , despite the short notice. She was alway on hand (via WhatsApp, even on her days off she got back to us) to answer a question and proved excellent advice. The villa was excellent , extremely clean and although compact it was just right for us and had everything we needed. The pool was fantastic, the cabana was an excellent recent addition ( Kay mentioned it was new for this year) and all was kept wonderfully clean and tidy being cleaned daily by Mohammed. The town was great fun as was the Regency Hotel, we attended a great BBQ night and experienced a Turkish bath. We finished off with a brilliant boat trip on the Poseidon, we met some lovely people and was looked after by the crew extremely well, and a great final fantastic day on the sea. A great time was had and everything just worked and flowed seamlessly. We’ll definitely look to return at some point and even look at other Simpson locations. Thank you.
Customer Feedback We had an excellent week at Villa Sun. The Villa was perfect for the two of us. The car hire was trouble free, the pre-holiday information provided was informative and very useful, and the support of the airport representatives and of Kay Ulus in-resort was first-class. And the Welcome Pack….. wow, it was sumptuous, and we were still eating and drinking from it at the end of our week. Simpson is high-end price wise, but if you choose to pay it you certainly get quality both in the accommodation and the service.
Staff were outstanding! We had a difficult time with our air travel which we booked independently, but the Simpson staff could not have been more helpful! They were amazing.
The holiday overall was very enjoyable. Kitty was exceptional, and responded with any answers to questions immediately. She recommended Hasan when ordering a taxi and he became virtually our personal chauffeur. I would like to add how efficient he was, and never let us down. A very nice man who requires a special mention.We have been to Kalkan before and stayed at the Korsan Suites which was also good. Two very different holidays on either side of the bay but both good.
Our stay at villa Sun was a great opener to the season and the accommodation location and standard was great with great access to the Mahal Beach below.The information and support from Kitty and team was exceptional.
