Set in beautifully landscaped gardens with the pine and olive tree-clad slopes of the Tramuntana Mountains as a backdrop, stands the charming and traditional Mallorquín house known as Finca Malena. Light, comfortable and airy with shaded terraces and an attractive pergola, this delightful spot is ideal for relaxation and dining on balmy evenings in the scented garden by the pool.
Even by Mallorquín standards the gardens are stunning and lovingly looked after by the owners. There is plenty of space for children to play around and big enough for adults to find a quiet spot to while away the day with a book and perhaps their favourite tipple – a fabulous outdoor area for all ages to enjoy!
Caimari and Selva have some good restaurants, and there are cool 'cellar' restaurants (converted wine vaults) in Inca, a ten-minute drive away. Finca Malena has all the ingredients for a relaxing holiday and makes a perfect base for exploring this fascinating island.

Excellent holiday experience in Majorca. Finca Malena was very easy to get to from Palma and ideal for those looking for a quiet, relaxing break.
Chris & Nia – June 2019
This is our second visit to Finca Malena and we have very much enjoyed ourselves. Thank you, Magdalena, for the excellent, all-encompassing welcome basket and fruit, marmalade, etc. and to Sonia for all her help. Weather has been fantastic and we’ve enjoyed trips up through the beautiful mountains to Sóller and Sóller Port (well worth the visit), Alcúdia (lovely sandy beach), Palma, Caimari and Inca. Only wish we could stay longer but hope to return soon.
Richard, Joanna, Tom, Oliver & Emma – October 2018
Thank you so much for letting us share your stunning Finca Malena and also for the fantastic olive oil and marmalade. We had such a wonderful time here and would not hesitate to return! The cleanliness is superb and the pool and garden are amazing. We walked there and back to Moscari and also walked to Selva and Caimari a few times and the biggest walk of all from Caimari to the beautiful Lluc Monastery. We have had a busy year so we really appreciated all the comforts of home. Thanks also to Sonia for fab chat and welcome pack! Hope to return.
Tricia & Steve – October 2018
Thank you! We have had a wonderful week in Finca Malena. Such a beautiful and peaceful location. The mountains provide a view that will never be forgotten. Casa Alvaro is a must visit in Sóller – such incredible tapas. The markets in Inca and Pollença were also superb. The monastery in Lluc and listening to the children sing in the choir was another lovely experience and the Campanet caves. The oranges and lemons from the orchard were such a great help – fresh juice for pancakes and just-pressed orange in the morning. Thank you again.
Jane, Andy, Alice, Benji & Sam – August 2018
A great stay in Finca Malena – a very comfortable and well equipped house with a much appreciated hamper, fresh oranges, lemons and marmalade – thank you. Loads to do in Mallorca, but this break was more about R+R, so we enjoyed the pool and peace of the house. The beach at Can Picafort is very nice, meals at a café in Selvu (pizza) is a 20-minute walk, also Sa Tercera in Camponet for paella is very good. Sa Teforia restaurant grill was convenient. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Clare, Gary & Samuel – July 2018
What a lovely villa. Exactly what we needed, relaxation, sun, pool and great food. Family time topped up!
The Butlers – July 2018
We had a lovely two-week holiday in Mallorca. The island is beautiful with lots of lovely villages and scenery. Would highly recommend the tram ride from Sóller to Port Sóller (our children loved it). Also, the market in Pollença was worth a visit on a Sunday. We spent a lot of time on Puerto Pollença beach – it was perfect for the children. Palma Old Town is beautiful and we had a lovely day wandering around. We have loved staying in this wonderful house. Everything is clean and very homely. The gardens are beautiful and the children loved running around. The marmalade and olive oil went down well. Thank you for letting us stay, especially as it was very last minute. We wish we were staying longer.
Katie, Leigh, Esme & George – June 2018
We have had the loveliest week staying at this amazing villa. The welcome pack was really appreciated as it meant we could start our holiday straight away. We loved exploring all the ‘sculptures’ in the garden, eating breakfast in the front terrace and supper at the back. Highlights of our holiday were Pollença Sunday market, Lluc monastery and the drive to Deià. Puerto Pollença was lovely with great ice cream. We would recommend restaurant Sa Tercera in Camponet which does great paella. Thank you, Magdalena and Paco, for sharing your beautiful home. Marmalade was eaten in three days! We will be back.
James, Debbie, Wendy, Keith & Lucy – May 2018
Finca Malena was excellent. It is very private, well situated for the surrounding villages which all have nice cafés and restaurants, and beautifully looked after by the owners.
Mr Drake – September 2017
We had a lovely holiday in a beautiful villa which was meticulously maintained by the owners and extremely clean. The welcome pack made a huge difference to the start of our holiday – we arrived with three tired children and were dreading heading out to the supermarket but then found a huge array of food, drink and treats to enable us to have an evening meal and breakfast without venturing out! The Simpson Travel representative was full of local knowledge which we made good use of and had a lovely holiday.
Mrs Bates – August 2017
We have had a lovely two-week stay at Finca Malena. Many thanks to Magdalena and Paco for looking after us so well and for the delicious marmalade and olive oil! Graham was also super at looking after us and a good source of local info! Lots of other beautiful places to visit and some stunning and sometimes nerve-racking drives through the mountains and along the coast. Enjoy!
Rachel, Steve, Tom & Jack – July 2017
Charming owners, beautifully kept finca and gardens Magdalena's marmalade delicious – such a kind gesture. Recommend Deia, Sóller, Fornalutx, Lluc and Alaro Castello for lovely mountain scenery.
Julia & Alan – June 2017
Thoroughly enjoyed our two-week stay here. For us the location of the villa is ideal, possible to walk to shops in either Selva or Caimari, catch a bus or cycle from the doorstep. Have cycled about 38 miles amongst the stunning mountain scenery and on easier days visiting the many villages in inland Mallorca. Were lucky enough to see a pair of black vultures at Gorg Blau on our cycle to Sóller. Another worthwhile outing (if not too hot) is to catch the bus to Lluc and walk back down to Caimari. We have been coming to Mallorca for many years and I think we have now found our perfect villa. Grounds are stunning and location peaceful, villa is well equipped and has a nice homely feel. Also thanks to Graham of Simpson Travel who went that extra mile to make us welcome. We will be back!!
Margaret & Keith – May 2017
Lovely villa in a rural location with the most beautiful gardens. Lots to see and do in the area. Very good service all round from Simpson Travel.
Mrs Richards – May 2017
We loved Finca Malena and hope to return. Muchas gracias Magdalena y Paco (owners).
Alison & Martin – September 2016
What an amazing villa/finca! We must admit that we hadn’t come to Mallorca before because of the few people that given it a “bad rep”, but WOW! What a totally beautiful and amazing island! The finca is stunning and the grounds are awesome and we had a great stay, but just as we were getting settled, it’s time to go back to reality. We will most definitely be back again soon, hopefully to this finca.
Jen, Ket & Maya – September 2016
Fabulous villa and gardens and home produce especially the olive oil and vegetables... muchas gracias Paco and Magdalena for sharing your home and garden marmalade! Fantastico.
Will, Pippa, Nick & Tiffany – September 2016
We’ve had a lovely week in a lovely house. We have never stayed in a house so well equipped. House, pool and everything was so amazing. Magdalena and Paco thank you very much for your delicious fruit, vegetables and marmalade. The location of this villa is very tranquil and peaceful. We are off to a second villa in Pollença, I hope the accommodation is up to this standard, but it will be very hard to beat.
Rosalie, Gavin, Ellie & Tilly – August 2016
Finca Malena was a wonderful place to stay.
Mr Sheahan – July 2016
Simpson Travel takes the stress out of your holidays – friendly staff, hire car and directions waiting on arrival, lovely clean villa with a great welcome pack and towels in a beautiful quiet location. Villa owners left us fresh vegetables and lemons from their garden every day too. This was our second Simpson Travel holiday and both were brilliant.
Mr North – July 2016
Finca Malena is located in a beautiful rural setting but with amenities only a very short drive away. Its central location on the island makes it ideal for day trips all over the Majorca. Particularly loved the beautiful and immaculately kept gardens. Pool a good size too. Would definitely recommend.
Mrs Woods – June 2016
Good accommodation, great location and supportive staff.
Mrs Russell – October 2014
When I book a Simpson Travel holiday (have done 4 now!) I just know it's going to be good one! Can't fault their high standards.
Mrs Newton – September 2014
What a treat – a delightful spot, beautiful gardens, amazing fresh fruit from trees in the garden – delicious! We were struck by the unique beauty of the local area. Brian was fantastic, a real credit to Simpson Travel! We leave very relaxed.
Mr & Mrs Mezger – March 2014
A big thank you to Brian and Simpson Travel for having this superb finca on their books, and for looking after us so well. Always there when we needed anything. Thank you to Paco and Magdelena for having a wonderful house and sharing it with us. Your gardens are magnificent, your produce tasty and plentiful and your beds are amongst the most comfortable ever! Thank you Mallorca, for surprising us with your beauty, splendour and grandeur! And mostly for the most amazing weather, no rain, virtually no clouds and almost tropical. We have had a ball, loved everything, we will be back.
Mr & Mrs Reeves – October 2013
Many thanks Paco and Magdelena for a lovely two weeks in your beautiful villa. Many thanks too Brian. A wonderful, relaxing holiday.
The Thompson Family – July 2013
A fabulous two weeks in a lovely villa with stunning gardens – thank you Paco and Magdalena for sharing them with us. Endless oranges, lemons, courgettes and marmalade only add to the charm of Finca Malena. Brian was the perfect problem solver – reassuring and very knowledgeable. Fabulous day trips exploring the north east of the island – windy road to Sa Calobra and the fantastic scenery/views along the way...if you dare look! We hope everyone enjoys their stay here as much as we did.
Mrs Evans – July 2013
A lovely holiday...many thanks.
Mr Suffolk – May 2013
It was our first visit to Mallorca and we have been fortunate to find Finca Malena, a beautiful house and garden. The weather was perfect, and we will all feel we will return here. Thank you Paco, Magdalena and Brian.
The Brown & Harrison Families – April 2013
Thank you so much, we have had a wonderful week. The villa has all you need for a peaceful relaxing holiday. We cycled to Cala de Vincenc for lunch one day. We so hope that we can return very soon – a week is just not long enough. So very beautiful. Thank you Paco, Magdalena and Brian.
The Pye Family – March 2013
The whole experience of a Simpson Travel holiday surpassed our expectations. From initial enquiry to arriving at Finca Malena, we received truly individualised attention, and the villa was beautiful with very thoughtful touches included. We can't wait to return to Mallorca with Simpson Travel in July.
Mr Lovell – March 2013
Our choice of Mallorquín properties is as diverse as the island itself, ranging from simple seaside charm to comfortable and stylish. Much of our portfolio is privately owned, and price alone is therefore not a universal guide. We contract all our accommodation in person, and each property has its individual appeal.
To help you make the right choice based on your own priorities, we have devised a simple grading guide to be considered in conjunction with each individual property description, awarding up to a maximum of five stars for the below categories.
