Villa Moundela sits in 1.5 acres of quiet countryside, with delightful views across the sea to Anti Paxos. Secluded but not isolated, it’s just a 10-minute meander to the characterful hamlet of Ozias, where you can enjoy a drink, traditional mezze and a slice of real Greek life at its one small kafenion. Whilst a further 20-minute walk to the harbour village of Gaios you’ll find a wider choice of restaurants, boat hire and a pleasantly lively buzz in summer.

Barely eight miles from tip to tail, Paxos is pint-sized perfection. The only way to get here is by boat from Corfu, which rules out mass development and makes room for a true luxury villa holiday experience. Beloved by the boating crowd, there's a definite buzz in the main summer months and an excellent choice of restaurants that cater for visiting flotilla.

There are few better ways of relaxing than on a luxury holiday in Paxos, where days fill up beautifully with sunbathing, swimming, snorkelling and dining in style, the sea just metres from your table. We have enjoyed visiting Paxos a little earlier in the year for a change with comfortable temperatures and no need for A/C! Our first visit to Moundela and Paxos was 5 years ago with our young family, this was our third visit and our feelings remain the same - simply wonderful. A key recommendation is to hire a RIB and a skipper for the day to take you around the whole of Paxos and Anti Paxos to experience the incredible cliffs and caves of the west coast and to stop off at any of the beaches (only accessible by boat) to swim in the stunning waters. The skipper will stop wherever you would like to have lunch (we recommend one of the tavernas on Anti Paxos) or even for just a coffee. Paxos is just as stunning from the water. It was delightful to meet Lilly, the concierge who was born and bred on Paxos, she was brilliantly helpful. Thanks you Simpson for another great trip.

Steve and I have just returned from the most restorative, restful and wonderful week at Villa Moundela, Paxos. The journey from the UK and back was seamless and beautifully supported by the lovely Simpson team. The 4x4 Daccia Duster was very much appreciated due to Moundela's situation. Upon arrival at the villa we were met with the stunning view of Anti-Paxos and the sea! We continued to marvel at that same view plus all of the beauty of the garden and outside space on a daily basis. The green and verdant garden and surrounding area of the villa perfectly compliment the peace and tranquility that we soaked in as we enjoyed the villa. The wildlife and birdsong that we witnessed was a daily joy - we loved seeing the fireflies dancing around the garden each evening! The villa was perfect both inside and out.

We booked this holiday in Paxos around three years ago. For evident reasons it has been through multiple postponements and changes. In spite of the fact that it must have been a nightmare for Simpsons dealing with the changes for all their clients, their staff have been unfailingly quick, helpful and efficient.
