Sapphire sits high on the hillside above Mikri Ammos beach. The lofty position delivers a killer combination of jaw-dropping views, cooling sea breezes and luxurious seclusion. It’s hard not to feel the teeniest bit smug sitting here, drink in hand, as the sky fades from blue to blush and lights begin to twinkle over the water on Paxos, Anti Paxos and Corfu.
From breakfasts by the pool to dinners that start with the sunset, you can enjoy the very best of this magical region without leaving your villa. Visiting massage and beauty treatments are also available to soothe and pamper sun-warmed bodies even deeper into relaxation.
Superbly finished both inside and out, Sapphire sits proudly in its own spacious grounds with a private pool, Jacuzzi and generous sun terrace. Owner Costa has worked all over the world in the hospitality business, and his experience shows in the hotel standard linens, designer kitchen and gym equipment.
Sapphire is one of two virtually identical detached villas on this magnificent site: neighbouring Indigo is entirely separate from Sapphire, but the two villas may be rented together for a larger party if required. A high mature hedge separates both the houses and gardens to ensure privacy.
If the view over the water inspires you to explore further, Sapphire makes for an ideal two-centre option combined with any of our villas on Corfu or Paxos.

Stayed in lots of Simpson villas but this is one of the nicest. Well presented, comfortable and quiet. Sivota has plenty of places to eat. The waitress remembered us from last year and even gave us a bottle of wine! Any of the monasteries are worth a visit especially the old ones. Beautiful decorations and artefacts. The Turkish Fortress is also worth a visit, plus the olive oil museum and the watermill in Parga. Jana and Stuart are very informative if you want ideas of where to go and Isabella Tours have lots of trips you can go on.
Sandra & Richard – September 2019
Sapphire was probably the best we have ever stayed at with beautiful views. The only thing to note was the drive up was initially terrifying but we got used to it. Highly recommended.
Dr Rolfe – September 2019
Special moments in life stay with you forever, staying at Villa Sapphire has been one these. We were instantly aware that we were experiencing something special. We would simply say each day during our stay at the villa, whilst sitting on the patio looking out to sea........this is incredible. We both had the best holiday of our lives.....the best ever. Everything was perfect, the villa, the location, the breathtaking view, the lovely welcome pack along with the superb wine kindly provided by the incredibly delightful, friendly and professional Stuart and Jana, all really did help to make our stay simply wonderful. Sometimes we nearly didn't go out in the evening, sitting outside watching the sun go down over the ocean was quite stunning. The whole Simpson Team are to be congratulated for providing exceptional service.
Mr R Wigg – August 2019
Sapphire is a nice villa. We like Sivota with its selection of tavernas and shops. We visited Ioannina which is worth a trip. It takes you on the A2 motorway which is possibly one of the most scenic stretches of motorway. Ioannina is very pleasant. The silver smithing museum is worth a visit. Parga is a pretty town and the coast road is picturesque. Our favourite restraint is Agali just before you reach Perdika. We visited twice.
Rob & Louise – June 2019
Have spent a week at beautiful Villa Sapphire, our tenth Simpson villa. As always brilliant, but Sapphire is very special, spectacular views, immaculately kept and the owner, Costas, is very proud of what he has built. Tried all the restaurants recommended and agree all good. We really enjoyed watching the sunset from the helipad, truly spectacular, particularly if you have a bottle of Prosecco! Rania is lovely, very helpful and attentive.
Steph & Julia – September 2018
Wow – what a great villa. We have had a fantastic few days and are very grateful to Rania for all her help and advice regarding restaurants and places to visit. We hope to return.
Karen & Alastair – September 2018
Sapphire: Fantastic. Had a wonderful week – the views are amazing and the villa is so comfortable and well equipped. Rania, the rep, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
V. McCallum – September 2018
Amazing, truly beautiful villa and views. The photos, if anything, do not do it justice! Feel very privileged to have been able to stay here. Rania is very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our walk down the Acheron river (buy crabbing shoes and take with you!). Horse riding too but the best day was hiring a little boat in the harbour and sailing round for a day. Take a picnic and a bottle of wine. We will be back. Thank you Simpson.
The Perigo family – August 2018
We have had a lovely week in this fantastic villa. The views are stunningly beautiful. Thank you to Rania and Olga for welcoming us and cleaning up after us! We had lovely meals in the harbour and we definitely recommend Hotel Filakas. We enjoyed the boat trip to Paxos and Anti Paxos. We are so sad to leave. We enjoyed every day of our stay and we hope to return to this villa in the coming years. Thank you Simpson.
The Bebbington family – August 2018
When you see Sapphire on the Simpson Travel website you think it looks too good to be true. When you arrive there you cannot believe your eyes, it is still too good to be true. But it is true!
Rachel & David – August 2018
Although the weather has not been great we have had a wonderful week. We love the villa with its perfect views. We have been swimming every day and really enjoyed the hot tub. We went quite early one morning to Necromancy and really enjoyed our visit. Rania has been lovely and so welcoming. Thanks also to Olga for keeping everything so clean.
Hilary, David & Frances – July 2018
What a fantastic villa for a lovely, relaxing family holiday! When we did venture away from the pool and stunning views we enjoyed a trip to Parga, the Acheron River (go early to have the walk by yourselves and leave your bags behind so you can swim the deep bits as you head up the river!) and parasailing from Sivota harbour. Our favourite beach was Agia Paraskeri – a nice swim over to the island (where you can look back to Villa Sapphire) and great iced coffees from the beach bar. Plenty of good places to eat. We enjoyed Ostria, Parasol and Hotel Filakas in particular and Acanthus bar is nice for a late night cocktail. Thanks to Rania for her recommendations and to Olga for looking after us.
The Munsey family – July 2018
Loved the villa and the weather was perfect. Rania was very helpful, answering the many questions we had. We enjoyed our holiday very much and we all had a very good time. We all would recommend this villa to anyone.
Megan, Daisy, Mason, Jane & Jason – July 2018
Fantastic villa and location. Simpson Travel provides real 'old Fashioned' customer service both from the UK base and whilst on holiday.
Mr Dwyer – October 2017
We stayed at Sapphire in Sivota. On arrival, our breath was taken away by the views and also the size and quality of the villa. The area is spectacular, lovely beaches, beautiful, clean towns and villages and the most amazing sunsets. When you see the photos on the Simpson Travel website and think they are too good to be true, believe us, they are true, it is just like that, or better. Amazing.
Mrs Simms – June 2017
Our choice of Greek properties is as diverse as the islands themelves, ranging from simple seaside charm to genuine luxury and style. Much of our portfolio is privately owned, and price alone is therefore not a universal guide. We contract all our accommodation in person, and each property has its individual appeal. To help you make the right choice based on your own priorities, we have devised a simple grading guide to be considered in conjunction with each individual property description, awarding up to a maximum of five stars for the below categories.

Unspoilt Sivota sits prettily in its own natural harbour just across the water from Corfu. A short walk away you’ll find two pristine sand-and-pebble beaches, with more to explore on the uninhabited islands offshore and along the glorious Epiros Coast. Further afield, and perfect for a short countryside break or day trip, is Zagoria, home to timeless slate-built villages, arched stone bridges and the fabled monasteries of Meteora.
