We stayed at Spilia Bay House and have to say this our favourite holiday to date. The location couldn't have been better, with the most amazing view and a stunning infinity plunge pool overlooking the sea. There were just a few (174!) steps down to the beautiful beach with a taverna and a few more steps to the boat hire place. It was handy to have a hire car to get to the lovely town of Vathy for more tavernas (all are excellent!) and shops. We loved the fact that it was quiet but there were enough people around to feel as though we were not alone and it was lovely to watch the yachts coming and going. The locals were incredibly friendly and welcoming and so laid back, the most relaxed hire car company that we have used! The car park in town was free to use and didn't seem to be too busy. We were sad to leave, so know that we will definitely go back again!.

We’ve had a fabulous week at Spilia Bay House! The view from the terrace is stunning and swimming in the infinity pool overlooking the bay is what I will miss most! The transfers were effortless, and as usual we were looked after by the wonderful Simpson team, from start to finish! It was a perfect holiday, plenty to do and see on the little island, some fabulous restaurants, and we will definitely be back!

The organisation to make our journey comfortable and stress free was excellent. We were greeted at the airport and put in a private taxi and then transferred to a private water taxi. We were met on the Island by the representative, and it all ran very smoothly. Our cases were delivered to our villa, and picked up at the end of our stay. The villa and pool were great and had everything we needed, for a relaxing stay. Our second time with Simpson, and we will definitely book with them again.

Our first visit to Meganissi – a wonderful find…and in our opinion Spilia Bay House is the pick of the island. We have enjoyed popping up the hill to see the sunrise and the stroll down even more (!), watching the sun touch Spartochori and the peace and tranquillity of Spilia Bay. We had the perfect stay with many relaxing days spent by the pool and down on Spilia Beach. We ate at the taverna on the beach several times and then had our daily exercise walking back up the steps. We’ve had a lovely week in this gorgeous villa. The service from Simpson was exceptional (as always) – the water taxi, airport transfer, even the taxi man carrying our luggage up/down the steps. Highly recommend boat hire for a day. Both beach tavernas were good. We had no Wi-Fi when we arrived due to the thunderstorm the previous day. Thanks to Maria, new router delivered and installed in record time – even without Amazon Prime! Maria was brilliant.

Our holiday on the island of Meganissi was perfect in all respects. It is a delightful destination, beautiful scenery and three small villages that have so far resisted the temptation to become over developed. Our villa accommodation was excellent, overlooking Spilia Bay we were very comfortable and enjoyed marvellous water and woodland views. Having the use of a car enabled us to explore Meganissi and the villages, harbour and lovely olive groves.

Spilia Bay House is perfectly located up on the hillside overlooking the beach and bay, allowing you to enjoy the view in privacy yet be just a five-minute walk from the beach. With pool and beach on our doorstep we didn't need to venture far, but enjoyed morning walks to Spartachori for supermarket shopping/iced coffee and evenings in Vathy (a 10-minute drive away), where there is a good range of restaurants round the harbour. The house is immaculate, comfortable and well equipped, with several terraces/balconies overlooking the bay, and the infinity pool is wonderful for relaxing and cooling off.

Another fabulous holiday with Simpson Travel! Spilia Bay House has the most stunning views from every room and outside area. Don’t forget your binoculars to watch the fascinating comings and goings of the vehicle ferries, yachts and little tourist motorboats which will keep you fascinated for hours on end. The house is immaculate and credit should be given for the twice weekly cleaning, which was extremely thorough. There are a few good restaurants in Spartochori (20-min walk) but it is worth driving to Vathy on some evenings for more choice. Don’t be put off by the number of outside steps – you soon get used to them and they help burn off some calories gained during the delicious dinners!

We’ve just returned from our 7th Simpson Travel holiday, our 6th in the Ionian Islands. It couldn’t have been more perfect, from the pre-holiday communications and help from both the UK head office and local operations headed up by Chris, to the on-island assistance of the lovely Rania who all worked tirelessly to make sure our experience was up to the usual 5-star Simpson standard. And it certainly was! A lovely week spent on Meganissi. Villa is fabulous with a view that you could look at forever! Got sort of used to the steps! We parked at the bottom beach car park sometimes to avoid the hill start on the drive. Took a boat out on two days – really nice way to see the island. Stopped at a taverna (Il Paradiso) – they help you moor up. Rebecca – great, very helpful when needed. Love Vathy – all of it really!

Spillia Bay House is simply the best spot on the gorgeous unspoiled island of Meganissi. What a view! We could hardly stir ourselves from watching the comings and goings of the bay below from the fantastic pool. The beautiful villa was contemporary with clean lines and everything had been thought of for our comfort and enjoyment, it provided a cool sanctuary after a day's sightseeing. Having the beach only a walk away meant that we could maximise our days. The local rep was a mine of useful information anticipating or responding to our every need. The locals are so friendly and English widely spoken. We almost don't want to let anyone else in on this secret as we would like to keep this slice of Ionian heaven all for ourselves.
