Perched high above Skopelos Town, this elegantly contemporary new villa is part of a small, gated community of just five exclusive properties, each with its own private pool and carefully landscaped garden. The views are sublime, with terraces on various levels so you can soak it all in from dawn till dusk, when the lights of Skopelos Town tempt you down to explore its narrow streets filled with small bars, shops and restaurants.
The villa is designed ‘upside-down’, with the living and dining spaces on the upper floor, and the bedrooms opening directly onto the pool and garden level below. The décor is sleek and quietly sophisticated; a great choice for couples travelling together and looking for a boutique hotel atmosphere with that welcome extra space and facilities that only a villa can really give. This lovely spot works for a family too, with room to play around the pool and on the lawns beside it. We’re delighted to have secured the two best villas here for Simpson Travel: Kohili View and Kohili Hill, so if you’re travelling with another family or need more space for a larger group, you can book both together for twice the fun.
A car is included with your stay at Kohili Hill, which brings the whole of the island into easy reach, including picturesque villages like Glossa in the north of the island, and the chapel of Agios Ioannis Kastri, where the famous wedding scene in Mamma Mia! was filmed.

Skopelos Town is a Traditional Settlement of Outstanding Beauty, with a charming Chora (old town). White houses wreathed in bougainvillea line narrow cobbled streets that wind steeply down to the harbour. The Chora and port are packed with tavernas, restaurants and speciality shops, offering just enough to keep things interesting without being over-developed. Here, as elsewhere on the island, you can spot fragments of Ottoman and Venetian heritage in monasteries and churches, or simply sit down on the waterfront in the sunshine and watch the world go gently by.
