We are delighted to welcome back this appealing seafront property (formerly named Thea Cottage), perfectly situated between Foki Beach and the delights of Fiskardo harbour. Traditional, yet comfortable the cottage is in a wonderful location and the perfect place to sit on the spacious balcony and watch the boats pass by as they enter Fiskardo. Just opposite the cottage, down a few steps, is access to the sea for a refreshing morning swim.
The attractive harbour of Fiskardo, with its beautiful old houses and stylish shops and restaurants, is just a 12-minute stroll away and Foki beach, a curve of pebbles and the natural shade of olive and cypress trees, is closer still. A boat can be hired from Fiskardo to explore the many tiny coves along this coastline.

This was our second visit to Fiskardo and to Stella Cottage. Our 30th anniversary in 2013 and then to celebrate our 40th this year. It was fantastic the first time and just as fantastic the second!! A beautiful cottage for two walking distance to the beach restaurants and shops so no need for hire car. Lots of walks to historical features and to local beaches.
Our second visit – 10-year gap! A beautiful relaxing week and just as wonderful as before with plenty of familiar faces. Some lovely meals out and all great. So lovely to be back and with Simpson Travel.
We thought the accommodation was much better that presented on the website. It had bags of character , more space than expected and fantastic views. Excellent swimming on your doorstep and the welcome pack was very comprehensive and well thought out. Cannot recommend the local rep, John highly enough. Personable, welcoming, knowledgeable plus delivering first class, rapid service, along with local tips and information without being intrusive. Well done John!
The cottage is well equipped with everything you could need and with a stunning view. We spent many hours watching the comings and goings of yachts and the local cats! We ate at different restaurants every night and was not in the least disappointed – food and service were great. We enjoyed our stay.
A car free holiday isn’t always easy but Fiskardo provided all we needed on our doorstep. Going for a dip in the sea down the steps was a delight along with enjoying the views at the lighthouse and Foki beach. Don’t miss a day on your own small boat. Easy to book with Regina at the far side on the way to the lighthouse.
Stella cottage is very charming and such a great location with wonderful views. We had a wonderful relaxed holiday and would not hesitate to return. My first holiday with Simpson and was not disappointed after reading such great reviews.
We were looking for peace and quiet at a location convenient to shops, tavernas and peaceful beaches Stella Cottage gave us all of this.
After years of holidaying all over Greece and its islands on botanical and walking tours, we decided it was time for us to seek a different kind of break! Stella Cottage is just what we were looking for with its magnificent views and location for tavernas, shops and swimming. It is perfect for us. Both Andonis, our hosts, and Simpson Travel looked after us well. Stella is now high on our list for a return visit.

Stella Cottage has a captivating view from its terrace and is in a wonderful location - turn right for a short walk to the beach, or turn left for a similarly short walk into the main harbour area and all the restaurants of Fiskardo. Fiskardo itself really is a most beautiful area, perfect for a relaxed getaway, which was exactly what we had hoped for. We will be back!
Had a fabulous holiday thanks to Simpson Travel. Resort rep, Laura, couldn't have been more helpful, excellent driver for the transfers and the villa was first class. Will definitely recommend and will use Simpson Travel again.
At Stella Cottage we found all the ingredients for a truly relaxing and peaceful holiday. We loved swimming from the rocks just below the villa and visits to nearby Foki beach with its crystal clear water and welcome shade from olive trees. We also discovered other unspoiled and quiet beaches such as Kamila beach – just a pleasant walk away. The highlight of our stay had to be the beautiful view from the balcony across the bay to the old lighthouse and mountains beyond. Simple pleasures included a daily walk to collect freshly baked bread and cakes from the Old Bakery and most evenings wandering into Fiskardo to eat at one of the excellent waterfront tavernas. Wherever we went we found a warm welcome, great food and service. Many thanks to Laura, our local representative, and the Simpson Travel team for yet another memorable holiday!
Stella Cottage is excellently located and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace looking at the view and watching the incredible yachts come and go. It's a short walk to Foki beach, which was lovely, and the beach taverna there is excellent. Fiskardo, also a short walk away, is a beautiful village with many good restaurants and cafés/bars. Overall we had a lovely week in the cottage. The Simpson Travel rep, Laura, was friendly and helpful. We have travelled with Simpson Travel many times and have never been disappointed.
The great thing about Simpson Travel is that they are with you all the way. And yet it is not in an intrusive way. Just the right amount of support, friendliness and help. Nothing is too much trouble. In fact the service is truly perfect.

We have just spent a very relaxing, chilled out week in Stella Cottage in Kefalonia. The view was wonderful which made it very tempting to stay put on the terrace watching the super yachts sailing in and out of Fiskardo Harbour. This was our third visit to Fiskardo, therefore we did not bother with a car this time. There are plenty of restaurants/tavernas within walking distance and we had already explored the island on our previous visits. We did, however, walk to unspoilt Foki beach, to the deserted village near Antepata and to the lighthouse which we could see from our terrace on the other side of the bay. Swimming was also possible from the rocks just below Stella Cottage. The weather and location were truly perfect. We are looking forward to our next Simpson Travel holiday!
Just completed a week in Fiskardo in Kefalonia with Simpson Travel and I can reassure potential customers that we were very well looked after by this very professional travel company.
We usually travel independently but this time round we just didn't have the time to put it all together so this is where Simpson Travel stepped in. Really can't recommend them highly enough, made the whole trip a joy, hassle-free.

Densely forested hills dotted with traditional hamlets and a coastline of small, quiet coves make Kefalonia an unspoilt Greek holiday delight. Its northeastern tip shelters picture-perfect Fiskardo, whose 18th-century houses stand proud with their flower-festooned balconies and carved doors. South Kefalonia hosts Argostoli, the vibrant island capital that still has an active fishing fleet alongside its buzzing cafes and restaurants. Come early and you’ll probably spot a loggerhead turtle in the harbour, or stay late and take a stroll down the waterfront promenade. Trapezaki is a little southern secret, with beautiful views over the sea to Zakynthos and up to Mount Ainos, the highest peak on the island. There’s an unspoilt sandy beach here with a single taverna, and if you’re looking for more choice, try Lourdas, a lovely long sandy/shingle beach lined with waterfront cafes and restaurants.
