Combining space, sea views and sumptuous interiors, this is a stand-out villa for a group, two families or a special occasion, perfectly located close to Carvoeiro, within walking distance of Benagil beach. Moorish-inspired, with its domed ceilings and grand archways, this recently renovated villa is also strikingly contemporary, promising a luxury break in beautiful surroundings.

The heart of the house is its elegant open-plan living room, where marble floors, shimmering chandeliers and a mainly monochrome colour scheme create a sophisticated yet welcoming space for relaxing. Each of the five bedrooms is a serene retreat, tastefully furnished and paired with its own luxury bath or shower room. All the bedrooms open onto a terrace or balcony where you can ease into the day with your morning coffee or retire after dark for a spot of private stargazing.

You can see the sea from many of the rooms, but our favourite view has to be from the terrace to the rear of the house, where you look out over well-kept lawns to the magnificent pool, gazebo and the Atlantic glittering just a kilometre or so beyond. The grounds here are some of the most impressive and well-equipped in our entire Algarve collection, boasting a square 8m x 8m pool and hotel-quality loungers for deliciously lazy days lost in a book or just enjoying the view. For the young and young at heart, there’s a trampoline, table tennis table, children’s play area and even a small putting green.

A slightly elevated position means you enjoy seclusion as well as sea views at Casal de Torres without sacrificing convenience; it’s a 15-minute walk to Benagil beach and your nearest restaurant, while all the many attractions of Carvoeiro are just a few minutes away by car.

Algarve holidays promise a wealth of different experiences and landscapes, whether you choose a private villa or a hotel as your base.

Portugal’s most southerly region boasts an iconic and instantly recognisable coastline of fine sandy beaches backed by ochre-yellow cliffs, sea stacks and rock archways that stand testament to the power of nature. Inland, there are rolling hills dotted with citrus and olive groves, plus crumbling castles, mountain villages and walking paths to explore.
