The house works well for a family, all on one level and with a small outdoor children’s play area to add to all the other enticing holiday entertainment possibilities this coastline provides. The décor is simple, in keeping with the overall feeling of the house, with two smart new shower rooms upping the style and comfort ante. One of the biggest draws here is the privacy afforded by having a relatively large plot, encircled by fencing and mature plants to create a little oasis that’s all yours to enjoy with friends and family. Car hire is included with your holiday, but if you want to eat out and enjoy a glass or two of wine with dinner, taxis and Ubers are inexpensive and widely available.

There’s been a village and evidence of fishing since Roman times at Carvoeiro, plus a rich history of naval battles and pirate attacks as raiders sought to claim this privileged location for themselves. Whilst there are still a handful of colourful fishing boats moored up on the honey-coloured sand, today the majority of the small craft that potter along the coast are taking visitors to admire the golden cliffs, caves and neighbouring beaches that make Carvoeiro such a desirable place for a villa holiday.
