- Charming property for two
- Comfortable and spacious
- Stunning views across rolling hills
- Radda in Chianti 5-minute drive
With views across rolling hills, forests and vineyards, this romantic ‘escape it all’ house is an antidote to life’s busyness – a comfortable, spacious, homely retreat in the Chianti Classico countryside, complete with fresh eggs for breakfast from the owner’s chickens!
Even inside, eyes turn to the view, like a natural work of art through the large windows – and a reminder of the many attractions that lie outside. While this may simply mean time by the pool, a team effort over the barbecue or sunset drinks at your terrace table for two, you’re also perfectly located for exploring the local area – and the English-speaking owners live discretely just next door, although you may see them occasionally walking past your terrace on the way to the shared parking area. They’ll be more than happy to suggest a few of the best local attractions if you’re looking for inspiration.
However, the medieval hilltop town of Radda in Chianti is just a five-minute drive away – or a 20-minute starlit walk along a quiet, narrow road at night – and it comes with the restaurants you need when neither of you feel like cooking. A little further away, in the heart of the Chianti Classico wine region, are Castellina, Panzano and Greve, home to the region’s largest wine fair, which takes place in September. Not far from there, the Monte San Michele Nature Park offers breathtaking hikes or more leisurely rambles and, if you’d rather not go it alone, a licensed wilderness guide can share their insights into the local flora and fauna and keep you on the right track.
Medieval Siena is a 50-minute drive away, Arezzo an hour and Florence, the home of the Renaissance, just over an hour. Each offers a wealth of art and culture, churches and museums, food and drink, combining a relaxing holiday with the most inspiring of Italian experiences.

We had a lovely stay at Casa Momi on our honeymoon. The views are absolutely gorgeous and the hosts were very welcoming! You can walk into nearby Radda or drive to lots of lovely Tuscan towns. Jonathan shared some great recommendations – would love to visit again and thoroughly recommend!
Katherine Richards – September 2020
Like all the other visitors we have had a delightful holiday in Chianti. We have visited many places and our hosts Gianpaolo and Rodolfo were lovely supplying us with eggs and delicious figs.
Louise & Steve Buckingham – September 2019
Two very enjoyable and relaxing weeks at Casa Momi. The views from the terrace are amazing whilst enjoying evening meals when the sun goes down with a bottle of local wine. We especially enjoyed the lovely clean pool after a day of visiting Chianti villages. Two weeks made perfect by our hosts Rodolfo and Gianpaolo who were very attentive with any questions and the fresh eggs and other goodies which were very much appreciated. A lovely villa in a fantastic position.
Rod & Pat Aster – September 2019
We have had a fantastic time at Casa Momi. The two hosts have been brilliant, really friendly and helpful and the fresh eggs are great. We came here for our honeymoon and couldn’t have asked for a better location. The views from the villa are amazing and it is so peaceful.
Matthew & Kimberley – August 2019
Casa Momi has all the ingredients for a perfect break. Our two hosts, Gianpaolo and Rodolfo have wonderful Tuscan hospitality. We enjoyed a daily dip in the cooling pool and a good dose of sunshine along with glorious Tuscan vistas and ambience.
Colin & Lynette – July 2019
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Momi very much. The views from the terrace are stunning especially with a glass of local wine! The villa was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. We found plenty of places to visit and enjoyed coming back to the fabulous pool and relaxing in the garden. Rodolfo and Gianpaolo were very helpful with any questions we had and the fresh eggs every morning were greatly appreciated.
Robert & Fiona – July 2019
Two very enjoyable and relaxing weeks at Casa Momi. We especially enjoyed the pool and the outstanding views from the terrace over the Tuscan hills, a perfect place to sit and enjoy a glass of Chianti. Rodolfo and Gianpaolo were perfect hosts, very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Radda, a lovely hilltop town with lots of good eating places. Another excellent Simpson holiday!
Richard & Maureen Field – July 2019
A fantastic two weeks made perfect by our hosts, Rodolfo and Gianpaolo – their daily treats and conversation.
Lee & Chris – June 2019
Our host and his family were amazing. Fresh treats left each day and they were the perfect mix of helpful and discreet.
Jamie & Vicky – May 2019
This was our second stay at Casa Momi, but the view from the terrace and the pretty pool and garden took our breath away again when we arrived. The villa is very clean and comfortable. We love that we can walk into Radda to have lunch, wander the narrow streets and browse the shops or just have a walk around the walls then return to have a swim in the pool and drinks on the terrace while enjoying the great views. And when we managed to tear ourselves away there were lots of places to visit within a short drive. We can't think of anywhere better to enjoy the very essence of Chianti.
Mr & Mrs Lewis – July 2018
Casa Momi was excellent and the owners were helpful and discreet – if we wanted to return to Chianti we would certainly check the availability of Casa Momi first. Fresh eggs every day, wonderful views and a lovely pool.
Chris & Janet – May 2018
We have had a lovely week in Tuscany celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary. The setting is beautiful and even though the last week of October the weather has still been around 20˚C most days. Giampaolo and Rodolfo are very attentive hosts and the daily supply of eggs is a lovely treat. A thoroughly enjoyable time and numerous glasses of Chianti consumed!
Julian & Elizabeth – October 2017
Lovely hosts very friendly and knowledgeable of the area, views fantastic, very quiet at night and very local for Radda In Chianti – a very typical hilltop village in the Chianti region. Easily accessed from the Firenze/Siena motorway and a great location for touring the Tuscan countryside and cities.
Mr Hunt – October 2017
Autumn is in the air and we were glad of a fleece in the evenings – but bright sunny days were perfect for exploring. Castellina in Chianti is worth a visit, as are of course Siena and San Gimignano. Arriving early in San Gimignano is a good idea as there are big car parks but they fill up! Many thanks to Rodolfo and Giampaolo for their friendly, hospitable welcome and of course the eggs.
Gill and Geoff – September 2017
The view is like a painting – my photos don't do it justice! A relaxing break even if the weather was very mixed. Volpaia worth a visit (and not far), an untouched little hamlet. Rodolfo and Giampaolo are friendly, yet discrete and very generous with the lovely eggs.
Jenny & Roland – September 2017
Simpson Travel made the holiday experience simple and stress-free. Communication was excellent and frequent. Casa Momi was exactly as detailed and perfect for a stress-free, relaxing break.
Mr Drew – August 2017
A lovely visit, welcoming hosts. The view is incredible. Enjoyed lounging by the pool and watching sunsets over dinner. Visited San Gimignano, walked into Radda, wine tasted at a nice ex-convent there. Also drove to a lovely hilltop town called Montefioralle which is worth a view but generally lazed and enjoyed weather, pool and view – perfect after days in Florence. Will definitely come back to Tuscany again.
Eve & Ali – August 2017
Casa Momi was amazing. The accommodation, the pool and the view made it one of our best holidays ever. What really made it extra special though were our hosts, Giampaolo and Rodolfo who were FAB! So friendly and so helpful. Fresh eggs every day and other lovelies. Always had helpful info, like about where to park when we went out for the day. Cannot thank them enough – we will be back!!.
Mrs Whitelam – July 2017
Amazing week here, really nice to have the fresh eggs every morning. The view from the pool is simply amazing..
Paul & Chloe – July 2017
Gosh very hot here this week, never known Tuscany to be this hot! Radda in Chianti is a very nice small town, with a good range of shops and restaurants. Villa good, owners helpful, pool welcome. Nice touch daily eggs and fresh raspberries.
Wendy & Duncan – June 2017
Imagine discovering a pair of long lost beneficent cousins whose language you do not share but whose wholesome familiarity is reassuring and comfortable – Rodolfo and Giampaolo. Eggs appear and other goodies too – magic. The view is Tuscany in a bottle and is our best vista in decades of self-catering, top-end villas! We have driven in busy places before in Italy but it is to be avoided if possible. The buses to Florence and Siena are on time and cheap.
Jack & Jane – June 2017
One of the most beautiful areas we have ever stayed. The villa is set in the most idyllic place and we thoroughly enjoyed our week. The owners could not be more attentive, assisting us with finding gluten free restaurants and providing fresh eggs, cherries and salad from their garden. We would definitely look to come back and stay with Simpson again.
Carl & Katie – May/June 2017
Our holiday stay at Casa Momi was fabulous. The villa was clean and comfortable, the swimming pool and surrounding areas were immaculately kept. It was exactly as it looked on your website, the views were lovely, we were not disappointed when we saw it in the flesh! The owners were helpful, friendly and supplied us with fresh eggs every day for breakfast, which were delicious.
Mr Atkinson – August 2016
Casa Momi was the perfect setting for our first trip to Italy, a wonderful starting point for our Tuscan adventure. Excellent pool, extremely clean property and exquisite views. The owners Giampaolo and Rodolfo, who live next door, were extremely helpful but also very discreet, supplying us every day with fresh eggs from their hens, alongside lettuces and herbs from the garden. A big thank you to our charming and most helpful hosts. Highly recommended.
Ian and Mel – July 2016
The villa was lovely and we enjoyed our stay. The pool and garden was immaculately kept and the Italian owners were friendly and very helpful. The fresh eggs and cherries left each day was a lovely touch. We would definitely recommend this villa to others, couldn't fault it at all.
John & Linda – June 2016
I simply wanted to say what a great holiday we have just had. All the references about the villa owners were exactly true, lovely hosts, the eggs and cherries every morning were wonderful! And I have to give you special thanks for your very helpful guidance notes – for instance, we wouldn't have thought to visit Cortona and San Gimignano without them; and your hints for where to park in Siena were invaluable – they are worth their weight in gold! So – keep up the good work, and thanks again.
Anne & Richard – June 2016
I cannot think of a higher recommendation than 100%+++ perfect. Whether it be the location, the view, the swimming pool, the owners (and their friendliness and attention to detail), the ease of visiting Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, and other top destinations in Chianti or simply enjoying Radda and the local villages and vineyards, this is a two person holiday destination that really ought to be kept secret in order to prevent those that might love it from finding it!
Mr Nimmo – June 2016
The view from the house and pool is brilliant. The owners are very nice, helpful but also quiet and discreet. We got fresh eggs every morning and also tomatoes, salad and figs. We can only recommend this beautiful place.
Manthey – August 2015
We have both had a lovely stay at Casa Momi. Beautiful location, immaculate pool kept spotlessly clean with stunning views over the Chianti countryside. Very airy functional apartment that too was exceedingly clean upon our arrival. We enjoyed the fresh eggs every morning laid by the owner's hens along with the freshly picked raspberries! Our hosts made us most welcome. Thank you a great place to tour Tuscany from.
Mrs Burr – June 2015
Fabulous house perfect for two with an amazing view and superb pool. The owners couldn't have been more helpful. Even though they live next door, they were very discreet. Fresh eggs every morning and sometimes berries from their garden were a real bonus. 20-minute walk into Radda in Chianti which was a beautiful place with great places to eat and drink. Would definitely recommend it!Mr Wright – June 2014
Our stay at Casa Momi was perfect in every way. We couldn't possibly have been happier with our choice. Giampaolo and Rodolfo were so welcoming and hospitable, they made our stay at their villa truly memorable. We would highly recommend them as hosts to anyone looking for the best of Italy. Thank you for your assistance in acquiring this wonderful getaway.
Mr Riley – August 2013
What a great week we had at Casa Momi. The location is lovely, the sunsets stunning and the casa comfortable. The hosts were lovely and made us feel very welcome. And the fresh eggs each morning went down really well!
Mr Taylor – August 2013
The villa was lovely and the views from it were incredible. The owners were extremely friendly and the fresh eggs and raspberries they gave us each morning were very much enjoyed and appreciated. Radda is a lovely little town with very good restaurants. We had a very good holiday.
Mrs Hinchley – July 2013
We have just come back from a week at Casa Momi. It is a wonderful place. The house was very comfortable and our hosts, Rodolfo and Giampaolo, next door were very friendly with helpful advice, eggs from their chickens every morning and fresh produce from their garden. Radda is a lovely little town with some really good restaurants. This was our first trip to Tuscany and hopefully won’t be our last, although we will be hard pushed to find anywhere better to stay.
Mrs McWilliams – June 2013
We were delighted with Casa Momi in every way. The view was amazing, the grounds were beautiful with a lovely pool area and the accommodation itself was charming, functional and spotlessly clean. The owners were very helpful and generous with the produce from their garden which included delivering fresh eggs each morning for our breakfast. The location was excellent with lots of nice places to visit nearby, in addition to Radda. We went to Panzano, Greve, Siena and San Gimignano which provided a nice balance to time spent relaxing by the pool. Thank you very much for arranging our holiday so efficiently.

To help you make the right choice based on your own priorities, we have devised a simple grading guide to be considered in conjunction with each individual property description, awarding up to a maximum of five stars for the below categories.
