With views across rolling hills, forests and vineyards, this neat little retreat is an antidote to life’s busyness – a comfortable, spacious, bolt hole in the Chianti Classico countryside just five minutes from delightful Radda.
Even inside, eyes turn to the view, like a natural work of art through the large windows – and a reminder of the many attractions that lie outside. While this may simply mean time by the pool, a team effort over the barbecue or sunset drinks at your terrace table for two, you’re also perfectly located for exploring the local area. If you’re in need of inspiration for a day out, the English-speaking owners who live next door will be happy to make suggestions, and the celebrated medieval hilltop town of Radda in Chianti is just a five-minute drive away. Radda has restaurants a-plenty, but if you don’t want to drive there is also a restaurant within walking distance of Casa Momi. A little further away, in the heart of the Chianti Classico wine region, are Castellina, Panzano and Greve, home to the region’s largest wine fair, which takes place in September. Not far from there, the Monte San Michele Nature Park offers breathtaking hikes or more leisurely rambles and, if you’d rather not go it alone, a licensed wilderness guide can share their insights into the local flora and fauna and keep you on the right track.
Medieval Siena is a 50-minute drive away, Arezzo an hour and Florence, the home of the Renaissance, just over an hour. Each offers a wealth of art and culture, churches and museums, food and drink, combining a relaxing holiday with the most inspiring of Italian experiences.

We have had a lovely time. The weather has been perfect and we’ve really enjoyed the pool and terrace as well as the beautiful Chianti countryside. We had some great walks – we used the Komoot app and it worked very well for us with a variety of vineyard, olive grove and woodland walk options (generally with a great lunch stop!). We also had a great day hiring e-bikes in Greve, which was tiring but fun, and involved the best meal of the holiday at Lamole. All in all a great holiday and thank you to Rodolfo for making us so welcome (great tomatoes, raspberries and cake!).
A wonderful week at Casa Momi – Rodolfo is a lovely host and the view is to die for. Radda is a great little town and we recommend Bar Sandy for a morning coffee and croissant. Thank you Rodolfo for a really lovely holiday.
Perfect! We have travelled quite a lot but Italy is our favourite country, Tuscany is our favourite region and now Chianti is our favourite part of Tuscany! Coffee, food and wine has been excellent everywhere, every day. Le Vin’Osteria exceptionally so. Rodolfo is a great host. Such a warm welcome and company makes such a difference.
A fantastic 2-week stay – Rodolfo has been the most amazing host – always helpful and with a big smile on his face! Tuscany offers everything to the holiday goer – cultural enrichment in Florence and Siena, relaxing in the sun at the blissful pool, wine tasting and of course sampling all the delicious food. For keen cyclists, the cycling is also fantastic. Thank you again to Rodolfo for a magnificent trip!
We had a fabulous time at Casa Momi… beautiful setting and location. Fabulous pool, very comfortable accommodation, well equipped and very clean. Rodolpho was very helpful and hospitable with frequent little surprises in the morning on table outside.., fresh raspberries or strawberries from the garden… delightful (obviously seasonal!). Amanda was very helpful and responsive with questions we had and advice on local travel etc…. So all in all a big thank you!
A memorable 2-week stay. Rodolfo has been so friendly and helpful – nothing was too much for him. Lots of lovely gastronomic surprises from Rodolfo’s garden appeared on the table outside! The pool is a real asset. We’ve had a great time – visits to Siena, Florence, the sculpture park and to a number of nearby villages and towns. A big thank you to Amanda, who has been very helpful.

A lovely relaxing week despite the changeable weather. We can highly recommend the wine tour, lunch tasting menu with wines to complement each course at Castello d’Albola. Rodolfo was welcoming and a very friendly host – very happy to help out/advise if needed. Thank you once again to Rodolfo and Gianpaolo.
We loved staying here and the odd afternoon shower apart, have had lovely sunny weather all week. Don’t miss the fabulous fruit and vegetables at Panzano market on Sunday morning – nor the excellent butcher. Greve is pretty and nearby, Siena is simply stunning and San Gimignano is a must. Best bits – relaxing in silence, watching the sunsets over the hills having a glass on the terrace, spotting fireflies as night falls. Thank you Rodolfo for your warm and generous hosting.

Second visit to Casa Momi which we enjoyed very much. The location, views accommodation was excellent. Rodolfo and Gianpaulo were perfect hosts. The swimming pool is a delight. Easy access to Radda which we enjoyed walking to. Radda is within easy travelling distance to many of the Chianti towns. All in all another excellent Simpson holiday.

Casa Momi was well worth the wait! From the moment we arrived the VIEW had us, hook, line and sinker! The afternoons and evenings were spent on the terrace or by the pool. If you have binoculars, bring them! Rudolfo was amazing.

Two very enjoyable and relaxing weeks at Casa Momi. The views from the terrace are amazing whilst enjoying evening meals when the sun goes down with a bottle of local wine. We especially enjoyed the lovely clean pool after a day of visiting Chianti villages. Casa Momi has all the ingredients for a perfect break. Our two hosts, Gianpaolo and Rodolfo have wonderful Tuscan hospitality. We enjoyed a daily dip in the cooling pool and a good dose of sunshine along with glorious Tuscan vistas and ambience.

This was our second stay at Casa Momi, but the view from the terrace and the pretty pool and garden took our breath away again when we arrived. The villa is very clean and comfortable. We love that we can walk into Radda to have lunch, wander the narrow streets and browse the shops or just have a walk around the walls then return to have a swim in the pool and drinks on the terrace while enjoying the great views. And when we managed to tear ourselves away there were lots of places to visit within a short drive. We can't think of anywhere better to enjoy the very essence of Chianti.

We have had a lovely week in Tuscany celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary. The setting is beautiful and even though the last week of October the weather has still been around 20˚C most days. Giampaolo and Rodolfo are very attentive hosts and the daily supply of eggs is a lovely treat. A thoroughly enjoyable time and numerous glasses of Chianti consumed!
Lovely hosts very friendly and knowledgeable of the area, views fantastic, very quiet at night and very local for Radda In Chianti – a very typical hilltop village in the Chianti region. Easily accessed from the Firenze/Siena motorway and a great location for touring the Tuscan countryside and cities.
Autumn is in the air and we were glad of a fleece in the evenings – but bright sunny days were perfect for exploring. Castellina in Chianti is worth a visit, as are of course Siena and San Gimignano. Arriving early in San Gimignano is a good idea as there are big car parks but they fill up! Many thanks to Rodolfo and Giampaolo for their friendly, hospitable welcome and of course the eggs.
The view is like a painting – my photos don't do it justice! A relaxing break even if the weather was very mixed. Volpaia worth a visit (and not far), an untouched little hamlet. Rodolfo and Giampaolo are friendly, yet discrete and very generous with the lovely eggs.
Simpson Travel made the holiday experience simple and stress-free. Communication was excellent and frequent. Casa Momi was exactly as detailed and perfect for a stress-free, relaxing break.
A lovely visit, welcoming hosts. The view is incredible. Enjoyed lounging by the pool and watching sunsets over dinner. Visited San Gimignano, walked into Radda, wine tasted at a nice ex-convent there. Also drove to a lovely hilltop town called Montefioralle which is worth a view but generally lazed and enjoyed weather, pool and view – perfect after days in Florence. Will definitely come back to Tuscany again.
Casa Momi was amazing. The accommodation, the pool and the view made it one of our best holidays ever. What really made it extra special though were our hosts, Giampaolo and Rodolfo who were FAB! One of the most beautiful areas we have ever stayed. The villa is set in the most idyllic place and we thoroughly enjoyed our week. The owners could not be more attentive, assisting us with finding gluten free restaurants and providing fresh eggs, cherries and salad from their garden. We would definitely look to come back and stay with Simpson again.
Imagine discovering a pair of long lost beneficent cousins whose language you do not share but whose wholesome familiarity is reassuring and comfortable – Rodolfo and Giampaolo. Eggs appear and other goodies too – magic. The view is Tuscany in a bottle and is our best vista in decades of self-catering, top-end villas! We have driven in busy places before in Italy but it is to be avoided if possible. The buses to Florence and Siena are on time and cheap.
Gosh very hot here this week, never known Tuscany to be this hot! Radda in Chianti is a very nice small town, with a good range of shops and restaurants. Villa good, owners helpful, pool welcome. Nice touch daily eggs and fresh raspberries.

Casa Momi was the perfect setting for our first trip to Italy, a wonderful starting point for our Tuscan adventure. Excellent pool, extremely clean property and exquisite views. I cannot think of a higher recommendation than 100%+++ perfect. Whether it be the location, the view, the swimming pool, the owners (and their friendliness and attention to detail), the ease of visiting Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, and other top destinations in Chianti or simply enjoying Radda and the local villages and vineyards, this is a two person holiday destination that really ought to be kept secret in order to prevent those that might love it from finding it!

The view from the house and pool is brilliant. The owners are very nice, helpful but also quiet and discreet. We got fresh eggs every morning and also tomatoes, salad and figs. We can only recommend this beautiful place.

Fabulous house perfect for two with an amazing view and superb pool. The owners couldn't have been more helpful. Even though they live next door, they were very discreet. We have just come back from a week at Casa Momi. It is a wonderful place. The house was very comfortable and our hosts, Rodolfo and Giampaolo, next door were very friendly with helpful advice, eggs from their chickens every morning and fresh produce from their garden. Radda is a lovely little town with some really good restaurants. This was our first trip to Tuscany and hopefully won’t be our last, although we will be hard pushed to find anywhere better to stay.
We were delighted with Casa Momi in every way. The view was amazing, the grounds were beautiful with a lovely pool area and the accommodation itself was charming, functional and spotlessly clean.
