Casa Kios, with its gloriously grand design and spectacular outdoor spaces, is the ideal villa for any large group and an outstanding base for a special occasion, sleeping up to 16 guests between the main house and separate guest cottage in the grounds.
The original owners recently passed the villa on to the next generation, who have devoted huge effort into reducing the environmental impact of a stay here, whilst ensuring that it’s still sumptuously comfortable. The interiors are stunning: light, bright and beautifully contemporary, keeping the classic curvy lines and archways so typical of the Algarve, polished up with high-end finish that brings the whole place bang up to date. It’s no stuffy designer showroom however, with extras like a Playstation and a kids’ playroom with soft mats promising a warm welcome for all ages.
To the rear of the villa, large terraces fan out into two swimming pools and extensive private grounds beyond. It’s the perfect venue to entertain family and friends, complete with a state-of-the-art outdoor kitchen plus shade sails, comfy sofas and outdoor speakers for that private beach club vibe. This is a place that is shamelessly dedicated to having fun, and it’s so well equipped you almost feel as though you have a mini resort to yourselves, with the two swimming pools, a hot tub, tennis court, snooker and games room, table tennis, table football, pétanque and outdoor chess. In fact, the only thing that’s missing from the villa is an actual golf course, and there are plenty of those in the vicinity, the closest being Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo.
The final big tick on the Casa Kios list is its proximity to local services, which means you can walk to the nearest shops, restaurants and bars in about 15 minutes along a path through the adjoining woodland. The resort and beach of Vale do Lobo is about a 10-minute drive away. Brilliantly located and superbly equipped, we’re confident that this is one of the very best properties available to rent on the entire Algarve.
