The solution is to modernise, which is what the owners of 29 Mimosa have done with great skill and style, resulting in this very chic villa in a fantastic position close to Carvoeiro town.
29 Mimosa delivers a master-class in clean lines and open spaces, sun-lit via floor-to-ceiling glass that frames those coveted sea views. The traditional layout has been upended so that the main living space occupies the upper floor, fronted by large sun terrace looking out over the pool to the Carvoeiro countryside and the sea shimmering beyond. There’s room to barbecue up here, with a shaded dining table making this a wonderful spot to sit and chat or relax at any time of the day. The ground floor has a shady, Moorish-inspired courtyard, a second living room with direct access to the pool terrace and three elegantly styled bedrooms. The pool terrace is walled on three sides for privacy (creating a sheltered sun-trap in the early or late season), with a small garden to the rear so you can always find shade if you prefer.
This villa is easily large enough to have squeezed in another bedroom, but the owners deliberately kept the numbers down to enhance the luxurious feel of your own space, ideal for two couples or a family with slightly older children. 29 Mimosa sits about 900m from Carvoeiro’s ‘restaurant hill’ and about 1.5km from the beach and town centre, so everything is walkable, though Ubers and taxis are well-priced and plentiful if you prefer.

Algarve holidays promise a wealth of different experiences and landscapes, whether you choose a private villa or a hotel as your base.
