NEW FOR 2026
A traditional house in an outstanding location, Villa Rémy puts you within a short walk of the village of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, possibly the most charming and certainly one of the most popular in the entire Alpilles region thanks to its plethora of small shops and fine restaurants. With space for eight, plus two more in the handy studio suite, this is a one of our simpler villas in Provence, but the location makes it a winner for any occasion.
Tucked away in its own large, lawned garden, this is a serene spot to relax and unwind amongst the olive trees, with views to the craggy summits of the Alpilles beyond. The space is generous both inside and out, with plenty of sunny and shaded spots to lounge, dine or do whatever you want to do with your well-earned time off. The pool can be heated by arrangement, allowing you to make the most of this glorious spot even in the early and later season months when Provence is at its most peaceful.
Four en suite, air-conditioned bedrooms and a self-contained studio guarantee comfort for all, and with the village within walking distance, everyone can come and go as they please to take full advantage of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence’s irresistible summer buzz. For more energetic pursuits, Saint-Rémy is also located at the centre of the Alpilles National Park, with multiple hiking, biking and horse-riding opportunities.
The local area
Aside from its pretty streets and all its wonderful shopping and dining choices, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is famous as the birthplace of Nostradamus and as a favoured painting spot for Vincent van Gogh. Art enthusiasts can drive the ‘Van Gogh Route’ from here to Arles, a 2000-year-old city with extensive Roman remains. Arles is the capital of the Camargue, celebrated for its extraordinary biodiversity, from flamingos to wild horses, and long, sandy coastline which is much wilder and more natural feeling than the typical south of France beaches. The nearest beach is just over an hour away at Saintes Maries de la Mer, on the edge of the Camargue Natural Park. Closer to home we recommend a visit to Les Baux-de-Provence, a fortified XIV century village perched on the hillside about 15 minutes from Saint-Rémy, or for golfers, the nearby Domaine de Manville is France’s first eco-certified course, set in the foothills of the Alpilles. The historic cities of Avignon, Nîmes and Aix-en-Provence are all within a 30 to 60-minute drive.

There's no better way to while away leisurely holiday hours than by visiting the many Provençal villages with their cobbled streets and cafés. Hilltop towns glow in pale golden stone, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and fields of fragrant purple lavender. From celebrated Gordes to charming Eygalières, each town has a market to help you discover local produce, or treat yourself to a long lazy lunch; from pavement cafés to Michelin stars, the midday meal in France is nothing short of an art form.
The cities of Avignon, Orange, Nîmes and Arles offer an architecturally rich and cultural day out but try to make time for lesser-known gems like Vaison la Romaine, Uzès and Ile sur la Sorgue for a less crowded but equally impressive picture of the history of the region.
A day at the beach is always an option but you can find other open water options closer to home, from child-friendly paddling in the River Gardon below le Pont du Gard, to kayaking down La Sorgue as it winds its way through the Luberon. Close to Avignon, Lac de Monteux has a lifeguarded beach and various water activities for all ages.
This is a destination to rival any other. Complemented by our selection of handpicked villas we can help you make the most of your luxury holiday in Provence.
