Had a fabulous holiday thanks to Simpson Travel. Resort rep, Laura, couldn't have been more helpful, excellent driver for the transfers and the villa was first class. Will definitely recommend and will use Simpson Travel again.
Ms Kennedy – October 2017
At Thea Cottage we found all the ingredients for a truly relaxing and peaceful holiday. We loved swimming from the rocks just below the villa and visits to nearby Foki beach with its crystal clear water and welcome shade from olive trees. We also discovered other unspoiled and quiet beaches such as Kamila beach – just a pleasant walk away. The highlight of our stay had to be the beautiful view from the balcony across the bay to the old lighthouse and mountains beyond. Simple pleasures included a daily walk to collect freshly baked bread and cakes from the Old Bakery and most evenings wandering into Fiskardo to eat at one of the excellent waterfront tavernas. Wherever we went we found a warm welcome, great food and service. Many thanks to Laura, our local representative, and the Simpson Travel team for yet another memorable holiday!
Mrs Field – September 2017
Thea cottage is excellently located and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace looking at the view and watching the incredible yachts come and go. It's a short walk to Foki beach, which was lovely, and the beach taverna there is excellent. Fiskardo, also a short walk away, is a beautiful village with many good restaurants and cafés/bars. Overall we had a lovely week in the cottage. The Simpson Travel rep, Laura, was friendly and helpful. We have travelled with Simpson Travel many times and have never been disappointed.
C & A Evans – August 2017
The great thing about Simpson Travel is that they are with you all the way. And yet it is not in an intrusive way. Just the right amount of support, friendliness and help. Nothing is too much trouble. In fact the service is truly perfect.
Mr Hoyle – June 2017
I have to say that Simpson Travel provided us with the best holiday experience we have ever encountered. From the incredible service from the booking team down to the local Simpson Travel representatives, the efficiency and support during our last minute booking and the quality and location of the accommodation we could find no fault. I know that Simpson Travel will be our first choice when booking our next holiday. Thank you to everyone at Simpson Travel for making our week away truly magical and one that we will never forget.
Mr Farnsimham – July 2016
We have just spent a very relaxing, chilled out week in Thea Cottage in Kefalonia. The view was wonderful which made it very tempting to stay put on the terrace watching the super yachts sailing in and out of Fiskardo Harbour. This was our third visit to Fiskardo, therefore we did not bother with a car this time. There are plenty of restaurants/tavernas within walking distance and we had already explored the island on our previous visits. We did, however, walk to unspoilt Foki beach, to the deserted village near Antepata and to the lighthouse which we could see from our terrace on the other side of the bay. Swimming was also possible from the rocks just below Thea Cottage. The weather and location were truly perfect. We are looking forward to our next Simpson Travel holiday!
Mrs Williamson – August 2015
We usually travel independently but this time round we just didn't have the time to put it all together so this is where Simpson Travel stepped in. Really can't recommend them highly enough, made the whole trip a joy, hassle-free.
Miss Walters – May 2015
Just completed a week in Fiskardo in Kefalonia with Simpson Travel and I can reassure potential customers that we were very well looked after by this very professional travel company.
Mr Wexelstein – May 2015
We are so glad we happened to find Simpson Travel on the internet. We took a chance and it paid off and we had a wonderful stress-free holiday from start to finish. No hesitation in returning next year...
Mrs Hicks – August 2014
Thea cottage was excellent with wonderful space and amenities. The owner, Anthony, was also very helpful. It is possible to have an interesting holiday without hiring a car. There are splendid walks around Fiskardo and beaches very close by.
Mrs Farish – September 2013
Thea Cottage fulfilled all our expectations and more of our Greek holiday. Simpson Travel service has been brilliant from deciding and booking through to return flights. Fiskardo is a lovely resort which is relaxed and easy going with plenty of restaurants and bars for all budgets. It is great for people/super yacht watching! The views from Thea Cottage are beautiful and the Greek people are so kind, helpful and friendly. Some super walks if you holiday in the cooler months and we managed a couple in the August heat! We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary on holiday this year and it was worth the wait!
Mrs Carter – July 2013
Thea Cottage and Fiskardo were a a wonderful introduction to Kefalonia. Wendy is a great rep and what a pretty and green island with all its flowers, herbs and scents. We had some excellent food and local wine. Altogether a very good week.
Mrs Peed – May 2013
As the last guests of the season at Thea Cottage we can agree with most of what has gone before. Most of the tavernas were open until our last weekend and the thunderstorms which arrived on Saturday night. We walked to Antipata for lunch, but did not make it back for a full meal, and went out for a day on the ferry to Lefkada, which had closed for the season, so we sat in the sun until the ferry returned. Wendy and Adonis (and his mother’s biscuits!) were as welcoming and helpful at the end of the season as at the start.
Mr Mcdonald – October 2012
Our choice of Greek properties is as diverse as the islands themselves, ranging from simple seaside charm to genuine luxury and style. Much of our portfolio is privately owned, and price alone is therefore not a universal guide. We contract all our accommodation in person, and each property has its individual appeal. To help you make the right choice based on your own priorities, we have devised a simple grading guide to be considered in conjunction with each individual property description, awarding up to a maximum of five stars for the below categories.

Densely forested hills dotted with traditional hamlets and a coastline of small, quiet coves combine to make Kefalonia an unspoilt Greek holiday delight. Its northeastern tip shelters an easily overlooked gem in Fiskardo, whose 18th-century houses stand proud with their flower-festooned balconies and carved doors. South Kefalonia tells a different story, quieter and more traditional, with tranquil villages and beautiful beaches, as well as Skala and Argostoli with its harbour bars and restaurants.
