The villa is clad in stone as a nod to local tradition, and finished to a high modern standard both inside and out. Both bedrooms have high, beamed ceilings and open onto the front balcony overlooking the infinity pool and terrace. It’s a fantastic spot to while away the day, with comfy loungers and a large poolside gazebo where you can enjoy a meal in the shade or a quiet drink as the lights start to twinkle down below.
Looking out over Skopelos Town with its red rooves, white houses and the daily comings and comings of boats in the deep blue sea, a stay at Myli feels like the essence of the Greek islands, all wrapped up in one mesmerising view. This is a panorama that encourages you to linger for your second coffee (and let the teens have a lie-in!), but when you’re ready to go out and explore, you can walk downhill to the town beach and the first of the many lovely restaurants in about 15 minutes, and then continue on into the centre where there are a few trendy cocktail bars and a younger atmosphere, especially in the high summer months.
More beaches, including our favourites Stafylos and Limnonari, are other nearby highlights of this south-western corner of Skopelos.

Transfers
- Skiathos airport to Skiathos port is a 5-minute journey by taxi or minibus.
- Waiting time at the port is between 1 and 2 hours depending on season and local schedules. There are cafés and tavernas at the port.
- Travel from Skiathos to Skopelos Town port or Agnondas port is by sea taxi or ferry and takes between 40 mins and 1 hour 15 mins.

Skopelos Town is a Traditional Settlement of Outstanding Beauty, with a charming Chora (old town). White houses wreathed in bougainvillea line narrow cobbled streets that wind steeply down to the harbour. The Chora and port are packed with tavernas, restaurants and speciality shops, offering just enough to keep things interesting without being over-developed. Here, as elsewhere on the island, you can spot fragments of Ottoman and Venetian heritage in monasteries and churches, or simply sit down on the waterfront in the sunshine and watch the world go gently by.
