On the west coast of this paradise island, with mesmerising views across the water, Villa Platina is one of two stylish contemporary properties with direct access to the beach. Slightly closer to the sea than neighbouring Villa Asimi, the first floor living area is wonderfully light, with a wall of glass leading out onto the balcony, an idyllic spot to drink in the colourful spectacle as the sun sets behind the mountains of Lefkada.
To the rear of the villa, the pool terrace offers ample space for alfresco lounging and dining and the charming pool wraps cleverly around the side of the house, to give an infinity-style view across the sea. On a lower level, a children’s pool with waterfall feature is sure to delight younger guests and beneath this, the ground floor terrace spans the width of the building offering the same uninterrupted views across the water. Accessible from the two spacious en-suite bedrooms, it provides yet another appealing venue to sit and enjoy the villa’s heavenly location.
A three-minute stroll leads to blissfully unspoilt Agios Ioannis beach and the local taverna is less than five-minutes’ drive away. Further afield (around 15 minutes by car) the sleepy village of Spartochori has a small selection of traditional bars and tavernas, with shops offering everyday groceries and essentials. Beyond this, the coast road leads round to the enchanting harbour in Vathy where you’ll find an excellent choice of waterfront restaurants to suit all tastes.
Meganissi is a place that lends itself to relaxation coupled with a little gentle exploration. At just 20 square kilometres, it doesn’t take long to get a feel for the peaceful, unspoilt way of life here and you are never far away from another enticing turquoise bay for a refreshing dip as you travel round. Villa Platina and neighbouring Villa Asimi enjoy a truly beautiful and tranquil spot and have been designed to ensure each house has its own identity with a good degree of privacy. Booked separately the villas are perfect for couples and small families, booked together they offer great flexibility for larger groups. But whatever the size of your party, relaxed island living is guaranteed.

Villa Platina was absolutely beautiful and after nearly a year of health concerns it was the ideal place to relax. The villa itself was beautifully laid out and equipped. The views from the vast expanse of glass sliding doors was amazing. The highlight for us was the 82 steps to the private grassed area with direct access to the beach and sea. The swimming and steps kept us healthy. We would certainly return in the future.
We’ve been coming to Meganissi for over 20 years but have never stayed on this part of the island before. The villa and views have been spectacular! The garden terrace down to the beach is a real bonus – we spent most of our time there and dipping into the sea. Ana and Costas must be very proud of their villas – we’ve had a brilliant holiday – thank you.
A fabulous two weeks – what an amazing view this place has, with beach access on your doorstop. We had a wonderful time exploring the whole island by boat – with lunch at Niagas, which was amazing. The villages of Spartochori and Vathi host beautiful sea view restaurants, which we enjoyed trying too. Thank you so much to Costas and Ana for a lovely trip and amazing hospitality.

A wonderful week. Very peaceful and very relaxing. The villa has been so well thought out. Thank you to Kostas and Anna for such a warm welcome. We took out a skippered boat and we had a lovely day out on the water – even saw a loggerhead turtle, which made our trip.
We had a wonderful stay at Platina! What a view. We felt relaxed immediately. The beach was the perfect place to swim and snorkel and the olive tree on the grass was a lovely, shaded place to read and play cards. Great restaurants. Thanks to Ana and Costas, who were great hosts and even let us borrow their kayaks. We would love to return.
A truly beautiful place to stay. Anna and Costas have made us feel really welcome, nothing was too much trouble. They spent time to explain everything. The private beach – amazing with a WOW factor, very private pool and the villa met all our needs. We love it here and plan to visit again with the rest of the family. Very sad to say goodbye, but thank you for making our holiday wonderful.
Our last morning after seven peaceful and relaxing days, next time we’ll book for two weeks! A beautiful villa, beautiful view, lovely pool, great beach to swim from, lovely shady spot in the garden, excellent hosts in Costas and Anna. We enjoyed watching the boats sail by – the location is very special. We came to unwind and we certainly have.
We loved it so much here in September 2022 that we came back and loved it even more. June brought us lighter evenings, beautiful evening views and even more sun on the terrace. Meganissi is a wonderful island and a perfect place to relax. We took out a skippered RIB and repeated our wonderful visit to Kastos and Kalamos with a great lunch stop and lots of swimming. Thank you once again to Kostas and Anna – their warm ‘welcome back’ was really appreciated.
Villa Platina is a fabulous villa, the location is splendid, the pool, the lower garden and beach, the quality of the building and the fittings are first class and it is meticulously maintained. Meganisi was not our original destination (we had chosen Ithaca) but we would certainly recommended it for a dreamy, go-slow, low key destination - perfect for unwinding.
The setting overlooking the busy channel between Lefkada and Meganissi is perfect and with a beach at the bottom of the garden we had a great time there. Highly recommended.
Villa Platina was a heavenly retreat; a quiet, relaxing space. The villa was well appointed, the views from all aspects were superb, the beach and garden lovely. I can't fault a thing, it was all perfect, so comfortable and I can honestly say I didn't want to leave!
We were warmly welcomed on our arrival by Kostas and Anna, the villa owners. They live nearby and are on hand if you have any queries. Villa Platina has wonderful panoramic views of Lefkada, stunning sunsets and changing hues, and is both modern and comfortable with numerous terraces enabling you to enjoy the different aspects of view, sun, shade or sea breeze. The steps and garden lead down to a very inviting beach, along with being able to walk the nearby restaurant.
Our choice of Greek properties is as diverse as the islands themselves, ranging from simple seaside charm to genuine luxury and style. Local life potters along as it’s done for centuries and there are no bustling resorts on Meganissi, just three flower-filled villages – and yet you’ll still see luxury yachts moored in the harbours. Warmly welcoming, this island is also beautifully unspoilt; its coastline dotted with gleaming white beaches, some accessible only by boat or kayak. Inland, the rolling hills make for wonderful walking country, with shady pine forests and spectacular blue seas beyond.
