Set in fashionable Pianottoli, this impressive single storey villa combines cool, contemporary interiors with generous outdoor space, just a short walk from the beaches on Corsica’s spectacular south west coast. Inside, the high-spec kitchen, fresh décor and attractive lighting enhance the feeling of light and space in the comfortable open-plan living area, whilst four airy en-suite bedrooms and a fifth in the annexe make the house perfectly suited to accommodate two families or a group of friends looking for easy beach access and hotel-style chic.
Indoor/outdoor living is easy here, thanks to the sliding doors leading out onto the veranda and a larger-than-average deck, with a number of appealing options for sitting, lounging and alfresco dining. Lazy days by the heated pool are a joy and those who appreciate life’s gentler pursuits can enjoy a game of boules on the private pitch in the garden. When you’re after a little more life, there are two glorious beaches just a ten-minute stroll away and wherever you choose to spend your time, you never need to worry about who’s taking care of dinner, thanks to the highly rated pizzeria less than a minute’s walk from the door.
Even the journey from the airport takes no more than 15 minutes; a real bonus for anyone who prefers not to spend too much time in the car whilst on holiday. But when you’re ready to explore your magnificent surroundings, historic Bonifacio, La Tonnara (the ‘sunset beach’) and the famous warm shallow waters of Roccapina are all within easy reach. And though the Corsicans are far too discreet to make a fuss, you’ll be in good company in A Liccia. The village is currently enjoying a bit of a ‘moment’ and you might even spot a French film star or two mooring up at the marina.

- Pianotolli is a convenient 15-minute drive from Figari airport, which means planes are visible and sometimes audible depending on the wind direction, most noticeably at weekends during the peak season. However, it’s not a busy airport and no night flights are scheduled.

What a beautiful villa! Equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed trips to Bonifacio and Porto Vecchio – especially in the evening! We had a day in the mountains via L’Ospedale and Zonza and back via the scenic drive of the Route de Bavella. Santa Giulia and Rondinara beaches were our favourites. Roberto, the concierge, was most helpful. We can’t wait to return again to this wonderful island.
