This is a perfect choice for a mixed party of adults or perhaps two families, with a bath or shower room for every bedroom and plenty of social space to get together. One of the bedrooms has a separate entrance and its own patio area, ideal for teens or anyone who prefers a little more privacy.
The large swimming pool sits behind the house and is encircled by walls, making this a delightfully private enclave to spend your days in the sunshine. There’s shade for lounging and dining too if you prefer, thanks to a substantial pool-side gazebo that feels like an outdoor room. Mature gardens fan out to fill the plot, which is pleasantly secluded but in fact is just 1.5km from the centre of Carvoeiro. This small resort is an all-round favourite with groups and families of all ages thanks to its restaurants, coastal walks and host of local land or water-based activities that run directly from the village or beach.
We know from experience that each person’s ideal day looks a little different on holiday, so being just a 25-minute walk from Carvoeiro gives everyone in the group the freedom to come and go as they please without needing to take the car; holiday harmony guaranteed.

Algarve holidays promise a wealth of different experiences and landscapes, whether you choose a private villa or a hotel as your base.
Portugal’s most southerly region boasts an iconic and instantly recognisable coastline of fine sandy beaches backed by ochre-yellow cliffs, sea stacks and rock archways that stand testament to the power of nature. Inland, there are rolling hills dotted with citrus and olive groves, plus crumbling castles, mountain villages and walking paths to explore. The Algarve is unique in enjoying an Atlantic coast with a Mediterranean climate, attracting not just holidaymakers but also a wide variety of birdlife that flocks to the Ria Formosa Natural Park.
And despite its long term popularity as a villa holiday destination, the Algarve has retained pockets of real character in its old towns and regional capital Faro, where you can still eat well relatively inexpensively. Portuguese cuisine is in our view one of the most underrated in Europe, so prepare to be deliciously surprised by fresh fish, hearty stews, sweet pastries and of course, world-renowned wines: saúde!
