Private Dining at La Chartreuse

For restaurant-quality dining in the comfort of your own villa, the owners of La Chartreuse offer a wide range of delectable menus. Dinner is served as a full service option, which comes with laid tables, all food as agreed, plus waitress service and clean up at the end of the evening, all for around 75 euros per person, depending on the menu selected. The team is happy to work with your preferences so the menu can be truly bespoke. Alternatively, your hosts can provide a drop off service for you to heat and serve whenever you wish. This option costs around 35 euros per adult/20 per child under 15, again depending on the food choices you make. Sample menus are shown below. 

 

Paella Menu:
Chorizo madeleines, fino sherry
Watermelon and green pepper gazpacho with lemon verbena
Paella with squid, chicken, clams & morcilla, green salad
Pineapple and chilli sorbet with tuille biscuit

 

Menu with a Provencal influence:
Chilled courgette soup, mint oil and prosciutto crisp
Boned and rolled shoulder of lamb, slow roasted with garlic, ginger and basil caponata
Green beans and toasted almonds
Roasted apricot and brown butter galette with homemade ice cream

 

Locally produced menu:
Platter of garden vegetables with red wine bagna cauda
Salmon rillettes with toasted sourdough and fennel pickles
Duck breast with black cherry, shallot confit & espelette pepper
Potato and fennel puree
Roasted plum tart with bay leaf creme anglaise

 

Best of Basque menu:
Strawberry gazpacho with crispy serrano ham and croutons
Clams in fino sherry
Iberican pork tenderloin with PX reduction, roasted red peppers, sautéed garden greens
Burnt Basque cheesecake with fruit compote

 

Barbecue menu:
Roasted scallop with morcilla and red pepper
Garlic, lemon and oregano marinated lamb chops
or marinated aged Txuleta steak
Citrus salmon fillet
Homemade burgers and sausages for children
Charred little gem and spring onion salad
