Villa Monica is very attractive private villa for six, tucked away in its own beautiful and extensive gardens just a short drive from the sparkling sea and lively centre of Polignano a Mare. This is a favourite region of Puglia with our guests, combining beach days with picturesque seaside towns to discover, plus of course some of the most fantastic food in all of Italy to enjoy.

You’ll find everything you need at Villa Monica for an effortless stay that offers space and privacy within easy reach of the coast. The main house has two bedrooms, a large living room and a country-style kitchen and opens onto a generously-sized terrace. The owners have recently added a superb new annexe suite, with floor-to-ceiling glass and a great view out over the gardens and the pool. At 15m long, the pool is one of the biggest in our programme, surrounded by decking that opens onto lush lawns framed by hedges and dotted with towering palm trees for that unmistakable, on-holiday vibe. If you feel like eating in and enjoying this wonderful oasis, there’s a handy barbecue area tucked around the side of the house, and multiple furnished terraces where you can sit in or out of the sun depending on the time of day. Alternatively, there’s a popular local restaurant just a couple of minutes’ walk from the villa and a wider selection within a 15-minute walk, so no need to drive to dinner if you prefer not to.

Set in the countryside yet close to the coast, the villa makes a perfect base for chilling with family and friends and also discovering this delightful corner of Puglia. Polignano a Mare - with its dramatic cliffs, charming old town and excellent restaurants - is just a ten-minute drive, as are the beaches of Lama Monachile, Ponte dei Lapilli and Porto Cavallo. Also very close and definitely worth a visit are Conversano (15 mins) and Monopoli (20 mins).
