General hire conditions and requirements:

• All drivers must be over 21 and have held a licence for a minimum of one year (there is no maximum age limit)
• Drivers must hold a British/EU driver’s licence or international driver’s licence, held for at least one year. Your licence must be in the new plastic card format, paper versions are no longer valid. You will not be able to hire a car without your licence, which you must carry at all times when you are driving.
• Flight arrival and departure times, plus your mobile phone number, are required to finalise your reservation
• Rentals are charged per 24-hour period, therefore there may be an additional fee if there is a difference between pick up and drop off time for your vehicle
• Cars collected or dropped off between 9pm and 7am will incur a night surcharge.
• IMPORTANT: a credit card is required for payment of the car rental company's security deposit. Debit cards and pre-paid credit cards will not be accepted.
• Child car seats are available to prebook at a cost of £42 per booster and £105 per child car seat per week. We recommend bringing your own car seats for infants as those supplied may not meet your personal requirements.

All cars include:

• Unlimited mileage
• Two named drivers

Car Insurance

The insurance will not cover:

• Call out charge for assistance with tyre punctures
• Filling up with the wrong fuel
• Locking the keys in the car
• Flat battery from negligent use of car
• Damage to the windscreen, wing mirrors, roof, undercarriage, wheels or tyres (you should not drive off-road) 
• Personal accident insurance (this should be covered by your personal travel insurance)
• Any damage, loss, accident etc. caused by your own negligence, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, unlawful driving, driving off-road, using wrong type of fuel etc.
• Your car key: this usually contains an electronic device which will be damaged by water, sand etc. Please do not swim with your key; you will be charged for any damage or loss, including the cost of a replacement key, towing away of car etc. (replacement keys cost €24-€205 depending on the car category, plus a delivery charge)
• Damage to the interior (back shelf, seats etc.)
• Theft of valuables (cameras, mobile telephones, jewellery, money etc.)
• Any damage/loss caused by theft or attempted theft due to unlocked doors, personal effects left in view etc.
• Parking fines, speeding fines or other traffic infringements (a €60 administrative fee will apply to each fine plus the cost of the fine)
• Roadside assistance

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ALL DESTINATIONS AND VEHICLES: An excess of EUR 500 is applicable for any damage, loss, or accident caused by your own negligence, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, unlawful driving, driving off-road or using the wrong type of fuel etc.
