Sögüt is one of the most charming seafront villages that we know and Villa Ruyam lies at its authentic heart. Just metres from the water’s edge, a wide veranda spans the length of the villa; a blissful spot to sit and idle away the hours, soaking up the mesmerising views and observing the gentle comings and goings of village life. Fishing boats drift in and out of the harbour and the Greek island of Symi shimmers in the distance, a picture-perfect landmark against the spectacle of the daily sunset.
The house itself is simply furnished, with two bedrooms (an en-suite double and a twin) and comfortable, contemporary décor that gives a lovely sense of space and light throughout. To the rear, a covered terrace leads onto the well-kept garden, a delightfully private enclave for alfresco lounging and dining by the attractive pool.
For a day out, the picturesque Bozburun Peninsula is a magical land of cliff-top walks, tiny hillside hamlets and forgotten ruins. Fig and olive groves line the hillsides, where fragrant lavender and wild thyme tumble down towards turquoise waters and idyllic hidden coves. On your return, you’ll find Sögüt is home to an excellent selection of restaurants, with tables set right on the water, serving some of the best food on the whole of this pretty peninsula.
This really is Turkey at its best - blissfully untouched, with just the right amount of discrete luxury to ensure a holiday here is a joyous escape.

It is very difficult to put into words how much we have enjoyed Villa Ruyam. We have had an amazing holiday, very relaxing and we really do not want to leave. The little shop has everything you need and they are very friendly. You are totally spoilt for choice about where to eat – all our meals have been so fresh and delicious. Meltem and Nihat are superstars. Meltem keeps the villa looking so clean and pretty. Nihat is so helpful with bookings and recommendations. Everyone is so helpful and genuinely very friendly.
Our second time in Villa Ruyam, our happy place! Thanks to Nihat for being the best rep ever, super helpful, efficient and friendly, always responding to our many messages straightaway. We hope to return again next year.
Loved Villa Ruyam, beautiful and tranquil location with stunning views right on the waterfront. A very high standard of accommodation, lovely finishing touches and excellent cleanliness. Our Simpson concierge, Nihat was super helpful and knowledgeable so we really got the best out of our one week stay. Highly recommend.

A welcome return to Sogut after an absence of four years. So pleased to see that little has changed (although the new shop is a major improvement!). The villa is lovely and the verandah is the perfect spot for people watching in the morning and with a sundowner.

Absolutely beautiful villa with everything you could want. Lovely balcony overlooking the sea to watch the sunset. Pool area surrounded by lots of trees and flowers, always somewhere to sit in the shade or the sun. Very peaceful area with a few restaurants on the waters edge along with the boats.
Once again Simpson show themselves to be an excellent travel company. We've visited Sogut several times but this was our first stay at Villa Ruyam and we felt immediately at home. It's a lovely villa, very well looked after by Meltem. Its position within easy walking distance of several great restaurants is perfect and the grounds are beautiful and well designed. As ever, Jessica looked after us perfectly and it was lovely to see her again. We had a fantastic holiday and are already wondering when we can return.
