This impressive villa would be a top find in any location, but the stunning seafront setting in the quiet residential area of Barcares takes it to a whole new level. A little gate at the end of the garden leads you directly to the sea, an ever-changing vista of sapphire, silver and jade. It’s a really privileged spot at any time of day, with trees providing shade in the garden when you feel like a siesta, and a large terrace spanning the rear of the house so you can enjoy the wonderful sea view over drinks or dinner.

Inside, the house is spacious and stylish, with four en-suite double bedrooms making it ideal for a group of couples or a family with siblings needing their own room. Older kids looking for a degree of independence can walk into Alcudia in around 15 minutes, or if you just want somewhere local and good to eat, there’s a well-regarded restaurant a mere ten-minute walk away. Alcudia town is well worth the walk (or 5-minute drive), with its medieval city walls and narrow lanes full of traditional tapas bars as well as more contemporary restaurants for a wonderful night out. This part of the island is blessed with superb beaches, with a string of pretty sandy coves at nearby Mal Pas and of course the glorious Playa de Muro, stretching over five kilometres in a beautiful pale golden arc along Alcudia bay.

Fabulous villa, amazing views and so peaceful. Follow the coast path to the right for about one mile and you will find an amazing little beach (sandy). Another fabulous beach in Formentor, beautiful, with pine trees almost to the water's edge. Old Town Alcudia, walled ramparts, lots of lovely places to eat in the evenings, full of atmosphere and great little boutique shops, about 20 mins walk.
