You in a nutshell…

I’m a lively, curious person, always on the look-out for new things to explore and ways to share my knowledge with others

Why do you love Portugal?

I grew up here, so it's my home as well as my place of work, and I would not choose to be anywhere else. Even though it is not a big country, the variety of scenery, cities, people and beaches is immense. The interior of the Algarve is equally varied and interesting with little sleepy villages, rolling hills strewn with cork trees, fig, almond and olive trees and there are a good number of country hikes too. It's easy to eat well and relatively inexpensively if you know where too look, in the cities as well as the villages. You'll hear it a lot, but it really is true to say there something for everyone’s taste in Portugal.

Your top tip…

Go for breakfast in one of the cafeterias called ‘Pastelaria’ and find yourself overwhelmed by the large assortment of typical Portuguese pastries… yummy! The coffee is always great too.

Not a lot of people know this but…

The salt pans in eastern Algarve not only produce high quality ‘fleur de sel’ but a few of them have been transformed into salt spas which offer a unique experience and a wonderful treat for your skin.
