Operations Manager Tuscany and Umbria
You in a nutshell…
Integrity is the name of my game, alongside a genuine love of life, a thirst for adventure and a passion for food. I always see the glass half full…preferably of Chianti!
Why do you work in travel?
Travel broadens the mind, enriches you culturally, opens doors to new friendships, is constantly evolving and never tires in offering an array of new experiences. Travel is a way of life!
Why do you love your destination?
The Italians have a great outlook on life and their good balance between work and pleasure is so important. Our love of conviviality, hospitality and sharing our passion for the country we live in just comes naturally to us. Tuscany has so much diversity, from the Chianti region with its world class wines to the peaceful rolling hills of the Val d'Orcia, not to mention the numerous UNESCO listed cities and magical coastline. Umbria, the green heart of Italy, is also well known for its natural beauty. The two main towns of Perugia and Assisi are a must for first timers and the numerous smaller hilltop towns are so charming you just want to go back time and again.
Your top tip…
Wherever you are in Italy just be that bit adventurous, try those traditional local dishes, turn up at a winery and taste the wines, learn a few words of Italian and engage with the locals, find that hidden village up in the hills and just slow down, enjoy, indulge and live like an Italian.
Not a lot of people know this but…
Tuscany is the birthplace of the Italian language.
