Holidays in Mallorca
We are delighted to present our collection of 2013 holidays.
A familiar and favourite choice among the many wonderful Mediterranean islands, the lesser known areas of Mallorca still offer inviting coves, countryside ideal for hiking or cycling and peaceful, sleepy towns away from the tourist hotspots such as Magaluf in the south. It is in the stylish north and west that our charming self-catering villas in Mallorca are located, ideal for both couples and families.
Discover Majorca luxury
A Majorca holiday with Simpson Travel embraces colourful harbours in picturesque seaside villages, shaded cobbled squares in ancient rural towns, beautiful and unspoilt beaches and pine forests with glorious mountain landscapes. The island is also home to some of the finest golf courses in Spain, whilst at sea wonderful scuba-diving, snorkelling and sailing opportunities abound. If sporting activities do not appeal, lazy days cruising on boats or exploring historic Palma can be enjoyed.
In the north of the island the protective backdrop of the Tramuntana Mountains combines with fragrant pine trees and lush flora to frame the charming town of Pollença. Artists and poets were drawn to its fascinating, winding, cobbled streets and the stunning visual landscape. Visitors today are still captivated by these medieval streets and, from the hilltop location of the Chapel El Calvari, are rewarded with spectacular panoramic views. For superb villa accommodation and self-catering holidays in Mallorca nearby Puerto Pollença has grown from a fishing village into a cosmopolitan beachside resort satisfying most tastes yet still retaining its charm.
The dappled shaded square of Plaça de la Constitucio in the old town of Sóller invites visitors to sit, relax and inhale its tranquil ambience and watch the occasional tram as it weaves its way from this pretty town to the chic Puerto Sóller journeying through orange and lemon groves. Nearby Deià, the burial place of the poet Robert Graves, is a village that has captivated and inspired artists and writers through the centuries. Whilst the traditional mountain village of Fornalutx, a wonderful example of Mallorquín architecture with its narrow cobbled streets, overlooks the stunning valley of Sóller.
