Everything you need to know about travelling to Corsica in 2021…

Restrictions
Corsica is currently categorised as an Amber destination; fully vaccinated adults and children under 18 are not required to quarantine on return to the UK. All other passengers are required to quarantine at home for 10 days on their return to the UK (or 5 days under the Test to Release Scheme). Please see below for details of testing requirements.

Entry requirements
Adults entering Corsica from the UK must provide proof of full vaccination completed 14 days prior to arrival. Adults without proof of full vaccination are currently required to quarantine for 7 days at a named address. At least 24 hours before travelling, all passengers must complete a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) online. If required to give details of an address overseas, your villa name and region should be sufficient. Please complete your PLF by clicking here. Passengers will also be asked to complete a questionnaire before boarding their return flight to the UK. This will be supplied by the check-in staff at the airport.

Testing requirements for entry
Fully vaccinated adults do not require a Covid test to travel. Unvaccinated children aged 12 to 17 arriving in Corsica must produce proof of a negative Antigen test (PCR or Lateral Flow) taken within 24 hours of departure. For further information on the entry requirements for Corsica please visit: https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/france/entry-requirements

Boats, experiences and activities
Boat trips are running as usual in Corsica this summer, with social distancing implemented on the jetty when waiting to board. Some other pre-bookable activities and experiences may carry limitations for 2021; your Simpson Concierge will be able to advise.

Will there be any changes at the villa or hotel?
Please check your property details carefully on our website to see if any changes have been implemented for 2021. All our hygiene and enhanced cleaning measures are detailed on our Simpson Safe hub page.

What should I do if a member of my party is unwell or develops symptoms of Covid-19?
As always, your local Simpson Concierge has everything in place to assist you and should be your first port of call. They can arrange rapid testing, access to medical care if required, and are fully briefed on all procedures in the event that a member of your party tests positive for Covid-19.

Returning to the UK
Within 48 hours of travelling back, all passengers must complete a form giving journey and contact details, ready to present at the UK border. This may be printed, or downloaded onto a smart device and can be found at https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk

All passengers aged 11 and over returning to the UK must show proof of a negative Covid-test taken less than 72 hours prior to their arrival. From 4 October 2021 fully vaccinated travellers returning to England will be exempt from this requirement.

Fully vaccinated adults and children under 18 are not required to quarantine on return to the UK but must produce proof of a negative test on or before day 2 following their return. All other passengers are required to quarantine at home for 10 days (or 5 days under the Test to Release Scheme) and take tests on day 2 and day 8*.

*Testing requirement applies to all passengers aged 5 and over.

We will be offering favourable rates for testing with three of the government’s approved suppliers. Qured and C19 offer Covid-19 antigen and PCR tests designed specifically for international travel and provide kits which remove the need to source a testing facility overseas before your return to the UK. We are also able to provide Simpson clients with a discounted rate for Randox tests.

For information on approved Covid-testing please visit www.gov.uk/testing. Simpson Travel are not liable for any testing costs associated with travel to or from your chosen destination.
