					Imagine a place where lush green vegetation comes almost to the beach; where a sweep of sand fringes clear blue sea; where fields, mountains and forests are a backdrop to small houses of wood and stone which seem as one with the natural landscape. This is Çirali, a small village by the sea, which retains something of the spirit of traditional seaside holidays.



Perhaps this is due to the preponderance of wild flowers, or the smell of pine woods; or perhaps it is the figs, pomegranates and blackberries ready for picking and the organic food served in small restaurants right on the beach.



Çirali is an area of natural and manmade marvels. Olympos and Phaselis, two of the great cities of the ancient world are now romantic ruins by the sea and Yanartaş (known as the burning mountain and once believed to be the breath of the mythical Chimaera) has flamed from rock fissures since time began.
